My GC had two guys out here for multiple days trying to pressurize our gas line with no success. They claimed there was a leak somewhere, couldn't find it, etc. So I called Joe and explained exactly what they had done and he said it wasn't the correct way at all. He adjusted his schedule to fit me in the next day, showed up on time (actually early!) and started diagnosing the situation. Joe responded quickly to our inquiry, showed up when he said he would, and gave us a fair quote for the slab leak. He started work on the date and time he promised and completed the job expediently. He was recommended to us by two sets of friends who had hired him previously. We will definitely hire him again if we have other plumbing issues. read more

Joey was one of three plumbers sent to us by our new home warranty company to diagnose and fix a leak in the upstairs bathroom. While the repair was not covered by the warranty (not surprising), he told us that he knew what it was. All he had to do was properly seal the drop-In bathtub. He charged us $1,200 to do this work. He assured us that everthing was good and that after a couple of days, we could resume using the bathroom. It did not work at all and he did not return any of our subsequent calls. The leak continued as before. Furthermore, another plumber fixed the issue (which required a more thorough waterproofing and plumbing adjustments and EXPENSE) and was very surprised that Joey charged us so much for the work. We want a refund of the whole amount. The work he did was useless and had to be backtracked, adding to the final cost. It amounts to stealing. We would have probably let it go if he actually properly diagnosed and fixed the leak, but we will now be pursuing legal action. read more

PROS: - We had Joey come out to do some work on our washing machine replacement valves. The price seemed a little steep but we paid it because we needed our washing machine and dryer - Joey did suggest we check with our home warranty first which was nice - Job was done well CONS: - We asked about our TOILET: Joey said it's not worth fixing and should be replaced. Around $200 labor charge (Plus $300 toilet). - We asked about a DRAIN in another bathroom (to replace the drain): Joey said it was a 50/50 shot he could extract it out for the replacement, and if it didn't work it'd be $1000 at least to go under the tub. He recommended against it - Side note: Also suggested we replace upstairs toilet. RESULT from the CONS above where we had another plumber come in: - TOILET: $85 to fix (vs $200 from Joey) - DRAIN: FREE since it was easy (Joey advised against it and said it may be $1000) If we had replaced our toilet and paid the full drain replacement cost we'd potentially be looking at $1500 (excluding the extra toilet he recommended we replace) Our total from the other plumber? $185 (He also replaced and purchased our new shower valve which is where the extra $100 comes in) Joey is nice, timely, and will do a good job, but it's up to you to decide if it's worth the money. read more

Joe knott was sent by Home warranty company four a water leak in the ceiling. He did not even lift a finger to find out where the leak was coming from and made up a story that he had a device and checked for leaks and it wasn't any of the plumbing. And he blamed it on fire sprinkler system and told me to call my association. He did not even Poke a hole through the drywall. Of course he misdiagnosed and was dead wrong. Association plumbers came by and cut out the drywall and of course it was main waterline not sprinkler system. I called him back and he said oh well he doesn't have time to come back until Friday and that I should call my insurance and have them send somebody else. It took me hours to get a hold of the insurance agent and after emailing them documentation finally they agreed to send somebody to do a second opinion which hasn't been done yet. Met with Joey in May. He was interested in my new water softener install. We confirmed the job twice the week before and I even texted the night before. Then the morning of, when I called to check if he was still coming he told me there was an emergency (which is understandable) and would contact me to reschedule. That never happened. I was actually hoping he was one of the reliable guys since I have dealt with a few plumbers in just getting this job setup and reliability doesn't seem like their strong suit. Anyways, Joey was a good and knowledgable guy but unfortunately this was the extent of my experience Luckily I found a company that just does water softener sales and installation and I couldn't be happier with the completion on this project. read more

His card says "Knott your average plumber". Not only is he not average he is well below average. This is the first time ever I have had someone tell me "I need to walk from the job". What are you kidding me? I needed new faucets installed and there was some complication. But instead of figuring it out or even suggesting someone else, he "walks away" leaving me with non-working faucets. Then I find a real plumber and with a little elbow grease he gets the job done no problem. This is your warning. If the job is not an easy lay-up he will walk away. Even his truck looks like a handy man and not a real plumber. Stay as far away from this guy as you can. read more
