KNOX HOME SECURITY - An Extremely Welcome Wake-up Call For more than twenty years, we faithfully paid our monthly fees to "Brand X" security. I won't mention the name, but I believe it is the largest in the nation. Service levels steadily declined, but they made up for it by steadily increasing their prices. After reaching the breaking point, I looked for alternatives. I found Knox Security headquartered in Scottsdale, but with nationwide connections. Here's what I learned. The hardware is better by far than that of "Brand X". The service is vastly superior to that of "Brand X". I actually dealt with human beings who were responsive, professional, and friendly. Best of all, I now pay less than half per month as I did with "Brand X". Had I made the move two years earlier, I'd have an additional thousand dollars in my pocket. I should have made "Brand X" into "Brand Ex" long ago. I've now had Knox on board for a month. It works great. It's easy to use. It looks great. recently relocated to Anthem from LA and was referred to John by my tenant. I was very pleased with the service. He was very responsive , easy to talk to and came to the house and evaluated my current system. I was impressed that he didn't try to upsell me a new system and work with my existing system. he simply upgraded it current service network also includes monthly monitoring, at a very fair price . When my wife and I bought our new home we had a baby girl on the way, so great security, monitoring and cost was a huge priority. After doing our research and through recommendations we went through Jon Knox, owner of Knox Security Services Inc. We didn't want to go through ADT, their monitoring was too high and we had them in a prior house. ADT outsources their service reps and the quality of work was sub par. Our house almost caught fire because of an incorrect mini transformer installed by a former rep. When the out sourced rep came out he tried to sell us over priced window sensors under the table. When Jon came to see our home he installed everything quickly and was easy to get in touch with when we had some questions. The quality of work, installation and equipment blew ADT out of the water. After getting to know him I could tell he does some very impressive work for very large homes and businesses. Even though I was a smaller job, he made me feel important and like I was his top priority. Not bad to get that sort of treatment from the owner of a company! Ever since we have had the alarm installed we haven't had a single issue and feel comfortable that our home and new family member are safe. I'm new to leaving yelp reviews, however the service our growing company has received from Knox has been above satisfactory and I had to leave a review. We were moving into a new office and had a very small window in which we needed our network set up. With short notice Knox was able to accomplish all of the work that needed to be done, just in time for an important meeting and our launch party. They set up our IP phone system, wireless network, TV's, and an awesome in ceiling sound system powered by sonos (speakers are controlled through an app). Jon updates and maintains our network, security settings, and wireless remotely. If there is ever an issue, Jon always comes into the office before or after business hours so that it never interrupt our work flow. We are an online company and survive through our internet connection. We are looking forward to getting our access control keyfob system put in as well. read more

I have a 3 level home in AZ which requires various Wireless Access Points for good wifi coverage which I need because I work from home when I'm in AZ. Jon of Knox Security was one of the only Cisco certified guys I could find who specialize in residential homes. One night I found a dead spot and needed coverage right away. Jon came out that night (9:30pm) and added another WAP which was incredible service. He had also done my home security and IP cameras with Axis cameras (great cameras). Instead of just mounting the cameras on top of the rock facade on the outside of my home, he went the extra mile and ground the rock out so that the camera fit into the rock for a nice flush fit.. Knox Security also maintains and monitors my home network devices remotely. Due to a leak on the inside of my wall, one of the cameras went down. Jon was out the next day to repair the water damage to the connection and get the camera back online. My next step is to get the full home automation which im really looking forward to since we already have everything in place. Good work, Jon. read more

My husband and I recently bought a home with an alarm system. After completion, we wanted to add a video security system. We contacted a few companies including the one providing the audio alarm system. We found the companies either did not return our calls or the price quoted was excessive. We were extremely pleased with our experience with Knox Video Security System! They gave us a very reasonable quote for that security system including the installation. The team that came out were professional, experienced, very knowledgeable, and friendly! During the installation, they were careful not to damage the house. We really appreciated the time they took to explain the video system to us, to install the monitoring app on both my and my husband's cell phones, and to show us how to use the app. When we had a minor problem with our phone apps, the team came back out to our home promptly. Again, we found them to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly (even to our curious felines). In a very short amount of time, our video app problem was solved! In planning to return to work, I needed nanny cams installed in my home but nothing on the market provided the multi-camera, audio and video options we were looking for. We called Knox Security has we have had our alarm system through them for years and always happy with the customer service and installation work. They listened to our needs and most importantly our budget and recommended Axis cameras and a network video recorder. Once ordered they programmed the IP cameras/recorded to my home network so when the equipment arrived all I had to do to set it up up was plug them in and position them in the house. The video is solid and the audio is clearer than I even expected. I can see and hear the nanny and the kids across each room we have cameras in. Much better than any other nanny cam system I researched online and I felt confident with their recommendation and set-up. Overall, great product and customer service. I had a two questions and each time the owner, Jon, responded promptly and spent time on the phone with me. WHAT AMAZING SERVICE!! Highest recommendation I can give! I had a great experience with Knox Security Services. My house had an attempted burglary through the back sliding glass door. When I called, I spoke to a real person, not a computer or a recording AND Knox Security came out THAT DAY!! I couldn't believe they were able to accommodate me and my fiancé on the same day of the attempted break in. Jon Knox arrived and walked me through all my options. He was very knowledgeable about all the latest and greatest equipment, but was more importantly fair and honest.
