A coworker and I had sandwiches here for lunch today. I got the hero which was fantastic. The ham is thick like they cut it off the bone. The bread is awesome and fresh!! My coworker had the BBQ chicken wrap as a sandwich and she found it to be really yummy. She just said that she would go with less cooked onions next time but definitely worth getting again. Decided to try this place since it's right up the street from my house. The inside isn't anything exciting but the food smelled great. I got the Knuckle sandwich and my husband got the ham and provolone. His sandwich was really good, mine was... gross. The Knuckle sandwich is basically pot roast on a bun, which sounded great. The first bite was fine - flavor was good, but I soon realized they either use a really cheap cut of meat or it just isn't prepped well because the rest of my sandwich was pure fat. Like, all fat and maybe a tiny bit of meat mixed in. Pretty gross. Couldn't even eat any more of it so i just ate the bun and the onions. Since my husbands sandwich was good, I'd definitely give this place another try but I just would not recommend getting the "signature" Knuckle sandwich. It was a total waste of money. read more

The food here is wonderful. Sandwiches are made fresh with good quality ingredients. There are tons of options and something for every size appetite. So far my husband and I have tried the Cuban, the Ruben, turkey pesto panini and the Hero. All were very tasty but I'd say the Cuban was my favorite. I would highly recommend the knuckle sandwich itself, it is one of the best gluten-free sandwiches I've had maybe ever. Until I tried their hero sandwich that has salami ham mortadell a that's an Italian bologna red wine lettuce tomato on a gluten-free bun freaking to die for. I got the turkey sandwich and was disappointed when I saw it was both white and dark meat. I only eat turkey breast so I had to pick out all of the dark meat. Bread was dry. Because of the good reviews, I'll go back and try something different to give them another chance. read more

Where do I start! I went here for lunch last Thursday. My girlfriend got the BLATT and I got a corned beef sandwich. Outstanding!!!! So much so I went back Sunday. We got another BLATT and I got the turkey and cranberry. OMG!!! Thanksgiving on a bun. Not your regular deli turkey actual turkey. It's taking everything in me not to go every day. My husband and I were looking for a new place to try for lunch yesterday. We found this place based on their high Yelp reviews. If I were ratng them on their servic, I would have given them 1to 2 stars, I gave them a three because the food wasn't bad, nothing super special but it was fresh and better than a Subway sandwich. Let me share our experience as a first time customer. The owner is who took our order at the counter, he was friendly and welcoming but then things went a little south from there. After waiting 25 mins for a B.L.A.T.T sandwich (Bacon, Avocado, Lettuce and Turkey), the owner came out and spoke to us and this other table waiting, explaining that their printer wasn't working and no one told him, he just found out, so he apologized for waiting so long and said he put in a rush order. 10 minutes later our sandwich comes out, again giving the printer excuse and saying he would not have known. Then as I'm eating my sandwich I realize there's no avocados in it, so I go up and tell him, he says he'll get me a side of avocado slices. When he comes out, he again gives the excuse of their printer issue and saying they probably forgot because they were rushed. I've been big in customer service/ relations for years. First people do not want excuses why something went south, they just want to know you're correcting it and a simple apology is fine. However, if it were me, I would have noticed a couple of customers were waiting an abnormally long time, so I think I would have checked sooner (Let me add it was not super busy). Second, after the long delay and certainly after leaving out one of the key ingredients of a sandwich, as a new business, I would have offered a certificate for a couple sandwiches or something to hopefully get the customer to come back and give you another try. I'm pretty sure we won't be going back..but hey, give them a try maybe your experience will be better than ours. ;) read more

Saw the reviews, craving a sandwich so we stopped and gave it a try. Glad we did, the hubby got the Dagwood, so messy yet so good. I got the pastrami and there potato salad was so good. Reminiscent of picnics that we used to have with some old friends. Needless to say my hubby is excited to go back and try the Fried Bologna and the Hero. Well this review is an odd one. I had the best, worst sandwich ever. I know, I know that makes no sense. Let me explain. I spent most of my career in the east. As such, I know my east coast sandwiches. lobster Rolls, Philly cheesesteaks, Chicago beef (aka: Italian beef) and others. We spend our winters near our adult children in the Valley of the Sun. We found Knuckle Sandwich and couldn't resist a great sandwich. Here's where "I made my mistake" (I repeat it is my mistake). I ordered routinely the Philly cheesesteak assuming it was "wit-out whiz" (provolone cheese instead of cheese whiz). In Philly you have amazing sandwich shops like Pat's and Campo's serving cheese steak sandwiches "wit or wit-out" whiz and/or "wit or wit-out" onions. That's not a normal order in the west. Well at Knuckle it is. I didn't know. The loyal army's of "wit whiz" vs "wit-out whiz" are legendary. My online order was "wit whiz". Unfortunately I am firmly planted on the provolone side of that argument. So in summary, the restaurant was excellent, the COVID protocols were great, the staff prompt and courteous. The food was great, but would have been stellar "wit-out whiz" I guarantee we will be returning to try a revised sandwich, not to mention try many others of the delectable sandwiches on their menu. Great sandwich shop, be sure to give the a try. PS: to owners or managers, I didn't see a Chicago Beef on your menu. Any chance we will ever be able to order a "beef, hot, sweet and wet"? I'm from California moving to AZ and stopped at this place on my way back to California. I'd have to say the name was catchy if you really know what a "knuckle sandwich" is?! My order was taking by the owner as I asked what he would recommend or perhaps what he'd choose to eat and ideally he said everything that he created all the sandwiches and with that confidence I dove right in and ordered The Hot Stuff Chicken. Now let me tell you it has blackened chicken on it and my God was this magnificent had me sweating bullets but I could not stop enjoying the savory flavor it delivered however it did live up to its name of hot stuff chicken. Real chicken and not no sliced lunch meat chicken. I've eatin alot of sandwiches and when I move here for good I'll be for sure stopping in to try the rest of these fabulous sandwiches. read more

Our second visit. We won't be going back. Our first visit was mediocre so we thought we would give them another try. But this time was the same or worse. My sandwich was made with processed meat. Our salad had at least a half cup of water in the bottom of the bowl, making the salad super wet and watered down. And with no sides with the sandwich, it makes for a very expensive sandwich. $10 with no side of fries, chips, or potato salad?? Pretty expensive for an average sandwich. read more

Upon opening the door to the restaurant the small carpet that is right in side the door was very dirty. It has dried leaves and debris all over it. It looked very unprofessional The rest of the restaurant looked clean. The girl who took my order was unprofessional, in a grubby looking, old t-shirt and jeans. Her hair was pulled back in a pony tail but her hair in the front looked like it hadn't been combed, was stringy and hanging in her face and eyes. She had trouble answering any of my questions about the food because she said she was new. I almost left having a bad feeling about how bad she looked. She looked the way I look when I have spent the day cleaning the basement. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and water. I liked how the bun was warm and toasted a bit. Most of the beef was sliced and tender, though bland. Unfortunately there was also a large chunk of grizzled beef that I had to spit out as it was gross. After I put some salt and pepper on the beef and got rid of the grizzle the sandwich was pretty good. It' has a nice spread on the bun and some mild red onion. It was $9.00 for just the sandwich which I thought was over priced for what I got. I would have really liked the sandwich is it had come with some au jus. The water unfortunately is from a decanter where it had lemon slices and strawberries sitting in it that gave my water an unpleasant taste. The strawberries were all settled on the bottom of the decanter and looked like a mush of something pink that has been there for hours. Very unappetizing. I used the restroom and it was very clean. If I go back I won't have the roast beef or anything that might have grizzle since the food prep person can be bothered to only put the nice parts of the beef on the sandwich. I might try the grilled cheese or bacon sandwich. It was Saturday evening when I went and I assume no management was there thus the lowering of the standards. read more

Saw this place on ABC15 the other morning and it looked good. We went by for lunch today and it was awesome! Great menu, good prices and portion and great service. Wife had a Cuban sandwich which was perfect. The meat was great, the bun perfect, pickles and dressing exactly right. Big portion. I had a meatball sub that was one of the best I have had. 4 homemade meatballs that were seasoned just right, really good marinara and the right bun. Nice clean shop. The kitchen is open and spotless, the employees clean, neat and friendly. Great lunch, we will for sure be back to try the rest of the menu! read more
