I went to their place of business around feb 2021. I had seen a 2001 Yukon Dinali I liked it I looked at it I drove it it seemed great , signed all the paperwork that night took it home that night only to have to take it to a shop to get looked at and found out it had cracked rims and other things I had to fix on it altogether that was like $2500 and then two months later the transmission decided to take a dump on me and this place of business didn't want to help me at all. I understand signing as is paperwork but this car was never safetied, I'm sure the owner of this vehicle knew the transmission was going out and got rid of it and the back door handle was falling off. The guy who sold me the rig Terry at first told me I did have a warranty on it I tried to get a few things fixed in their shop then they tried to charge me for all the stuff they were fixing and I was confused like what I thought it came with a warranty ?? well Terry was wrong he miss quoted me. They told us "we like to spend money on our customers we like To fix rigs if something is wrong with them" well my rig was pretty wrong and they didn't seem to care I chose this car lot because it was better than going down on Sprague here in Spokane Washington and seemed like a fancy place That wouldn't sell you junk vehicles but I was wrong! I wouldn't do business with this place you're only going to get a good reliable car if it's brand spanking new don't get some already owned bull crap and don't go to Terry he obviously likes to miss quote people and lead you on to think he'll help you when he really can't! This was my dream car And now it's just a chunk of metal that cost me $6000 at Amco for a brand new transmission I had to take a loan to pay for it because I was pregnant and I needed a car and I had taken the loan from the bank already at that point so a $12,000 car plus $6000 for a tranny +2500 for odds and ends and cracked rims which I had to buy new rims it was just a nightmare I don't even enjoy the car I'm stuck with it I can't wait to get rid of it. read more

First of all, I have used the body shop twice at Knudtsen and they are excellent. My insurance company (USAA) recommended them and they did a superb job both times the car was in there for repairs. Although far from my home, it turned out to be a teal pleasure to do business with them. While there the second time,I found a car I had been looking for for a year or so. It was in great shape and had absolutely everything I wanted. I had to buy it and my dealing with the sales department was great. They did a great job and my salesman tuned out to be one of the few salesmen I've met that I trusted. The deal was reasonable and the sales department was great. I just heard from this salesperson a couple of months ago four years after buying this vehicle. I was impressed. If I ever buy a used car again I will definitely consider Knudtsen first for my car purchase. This was my 53rd vehicle purchase, so I have had some experience buying cars and this experience was close to the top of the list. read more

This was my first time going here and I will not be returning. I recently moved to the area and my car started having some issues so I scheduled to get it serviced. I made the appointment online , which was the start of all my problems apparently. When I went into the service area to tell them I was there for my appointment the older gentleman that helped me talked to me like I was a child and was extremely rude. He was confused on why I had made the appointment for that time and saying he just literally had no time to even look at my car and made it seem like it was my fault. I completely understand that there is screw ups with online scheduling but someone had to have seen it and thought "huh that doesn't look right" and gave me a call as I had made it a week and a half in advance. You also don't completely shut someone down because of YOUR online system. It gave me a time of when I could get in for a service and I booked it as anyone would have. The man did ask if I had any way to come back at a "way more decent time" for what I needed done. Lol. Anyways, I understand online conflicts but won't be talked to that way again for something that wasn't my fault and will not be returning. Your main front desk blonde lady is amazing and super sweet though! Should give her a raise for being a kind caring person. read more

Wow - unbelievably dishonest. The F&I gentleman lied about my payment amount prior to the addition of the service contract, never showed or discussed the "Knudtsen Safety Package" cost addition ($599), not to mention rushed me through the paperwork so I didn't have time to look through the documents, and ask questions. Turns out I made a terrible choice - I can afford this vehicle with no issues, but I have a problem with the dishonest tactics to generate additional revenue after we agreed on a sale price. The difference from the agreed to price, to the amount financed is an additional $10k. I normally do not care too much amount my payment, but I was taken advantage of in this case due to my high income level. I would highly suggest NOT doing business with this dealership. These tactics and practices should be illegal, and feels downright criminal. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP - please learn from my mistake. They are not sincere and do not care about their customers, only the revenue generated. They will say and do whatever they can to generate the sale. Very unfortunate. read more

As a previous employee of 12 years plus, We put our trust in the valued customer service experience they said they would honor... not soo much. My husband and I have purchased numerous vehicle's over a 12 year period. That last purchase was a 2012 Chevy Silverado, we dealt with finance manager Dan Guthrie who lead us to believe that we had purchased a tires for life program which in fact was a tires for loyalty contract, surprise it was a 5 year contract, but we where lead to believe that if we followed a strick regiment we would receive tires for life, well Imagine our surprise when we had in fact purchased a tires for loyalty not tires for life... all the while we were encourage to continue to complete all our service needs in order not void the tires for life program, we were absolutely diligent with everything they advised. But when it came time for new tires they basically said we had purchased a tires for loyalty, not tires for life. Jim Baunach advised us we had no recourse other than to climb the ladder of management.... Wow what a surprise to know that we were led to believe something other than what we believed to have purchased. I was an employee for 12 years plus and would never have said a bad word about this dealership, this was my home for 12 years, and the family and friends we made over that time was our life...No more, we will never step foot in your dealership ever or more refer anyone your way. Never would I have ever imagined feeling this way... today I had the chance to steer one of your customers our way, it happened and their now my customers for life. So sad :( I'm am so very disappointed how we were treated mainly by your service manager Jim Baunach, he acted like it was just no big deal and had no real desire to help in anyway it was like as a matter of fact we were screwed... read more

I saw a truck on Craigslist that they just put on, called about it and said I would be there in 10 minutes. Saw the truck and told the salesman I was interested and was told that it had to be cleaned and safety tested and they would call when done. Called later that day and said it should be the next day. Called me Sunday morning and said it was ready, then called back 3 minutes later and said it was sold last night. Well we won't be back. After having good service department visits for a year that all ended today. Signed up for 68 $ oil change that cost 129. He asked if we wanted tires rotated without adding that it cost 10 bucks. Said he would add one 22 $ unit of def. charged us for 2 units at 44$, we know it could not have taken that much based on capacity. Then a 35$ labor charge for who knows what. Must have been to fill in the def. ugh. No car wash. Did not reset the on star, the one thing we did request they do. Never again read more

Wonderful service before we bought our 2013 Toyota Tacoma. They brought us coffee from Dutch Bros. And showed us quite a few different vehicles. Once we decided on the Tacoma, Dan helped us with the Financial part. Super informative, signed us up with GAP insurance. Everything I would hope a dealership would do. However, Once we bought the Tacoma, the service dropped quite substantially. There has been a funky smell coming out of the ventilation. We called our sales rep. Karl, who spoke with my wife and told her he would call me to discuss solutions for our problem. After too many phone calls trying to get ahold of anyone after Karl had failed to do what he had told us he would do, I finally got ahold of Karl who said that we should bring the truck into the service department, and they would try to figure out what is causing the smell and remedy it. I asked if it was going to cost anything and his response was "It shouldn't". Wtf? We don't live near Post falls. So it's quite a drive out of our way to come over here. Once we got to the service department, we were told it was going to cost at least $60 to replace the cabin filter. A $20 filter. And that if they had to do anything else the minimum cost was going to be $105. So, thanks for wasting our time Knudsten Cheverlet. We won't be recommending anyone to this place. read more

Finally decided to upgrade to a new truck. My sales agent Dave Benedict was awesome and obviously knows what he's talking about. He was able to help me figure out exactly what I want and then he figured out how to give it to me. I have to admit, I really like Knudtsen Chevrolet. Yes, everybody is friendly. You expect that at a car dealership. But it's the little things. Zero deductible on warranty repairs. Free car washes. But what really impressed me was their core business values. Do NOT bring your car here if you are looking for a great deal and a 5 star customer service! This dealership singlehandedly ruined our family vacation. You know the stereotypical car dealership that isn't upfront about what things will cost and puts you in a corner and forces you to pay way more than you were expecting AFTER they already did the work? THIS dealership is that place. Stay away stay far away. Our family has worked in car dealerships our entire life and my husband is a triple certified master technician. Neither of us have ever seen a dealership treat people this terribly. While driving through town pulling a travel trailer we had a fuel line leak. My husband located the problem, located the part, and called the dealership. Due to EPA regulations he was not able to do this repair himself without a shop. They were about to close so they told him to drop it off the next day. He was there when the door opened and so began a series of terrible customer service and dishonesty. Calls were not made or returned when promised. A quote was never given. The car wasn't even looked at all day. We had no car and we couldn't leave because of our trailer. They were made aware of this situation and it made no difference. The service team does not work together. We were told by multiple people the dispatcher is a jerk and was putting people in rental cars ahead of us because the dealership was paying for their rental. They would not pay for our rental car. We had to drive up to the dealership twice because no one would return our call. The work was done without us having a quote done and the price was astronomical. It would have been cheaper to tow the vehicle home than pay them. The service advisor even said to us, "Well you are stuck with us, you don't have a choice. You need your car and you can't fix it". Not only did we lose 2 days of our vacation, but we had to pay for a rental car as well as the insane price of the repair that was never quoted. This dealership knew we were in a bad spot and they completely took advantage of us. We spoke to the service manager after I refused to hang up the phone until he picked up. His response was "I will look into and call you back if anything went against protocol". It has been four days and anyone want to guess if I have gotten a phone call? Apparently treating customers this way is their protocol. Take your car anywhere else to be fixed, but do NOT take it here. All they care about is their bottom line and will take advantage of you in any way they can. Read through the 1 star reviews on here. It appears our experience is not out of the norm. It also appears that they are contacting people and asking them to change their review after they post it. Insane! Places like this are why people dislike people who work in the car business. It is a shame. There are good dealerships out there, we have had the privilege to work at several of them. But this dealership is NOT one them. Stay away! Update: the service manager called my husband Nick on Tuesday evening and was very defensive and argumentative about our experience. He also told him that the dealership struggles to make profits and expressed how difficult his job was. He then asked Nick if he gave us $200 back if we would be willing to change our reviews on social media. This made Nick incredibly uncomfortable and he told him we would need to discuss it. Last night we sent him an email (which you can read in the comments on the facebook review I left) and we have yet to hear anything back from them. read more

Went in during a promotion, was treated like garbage. Had a down payment in my pocket on a used truck, they refused to even give me a price, just a monthly payment, without even telling me the interest rate. Of course I would find all that out while signing documents, but I do not do business like that. They treated me like a moron they wanted to take advantage of (I'm an engineer, and consider myself at least reasonably intelligent) Went in to buy a truck, walked away making sure I would NEVER buy anything from them, and would definitely not recommend to a friend. Our sales person was Wendy Green. She was AMAZING. She knew all the features of the car. She also pointed out the small flaws the vehicle had instead of trying to hide them. I really appreciated her transparency. She was not pushy at all and ensured my needs were met. The whole process took less than two hours. The dealership all around was extremely accompanying. Awesome experience! We took our old Suburban in because the condenser in the AC went out. To make a long story short, we bought a new Suburban. My wife and I are both at an extremely busy time in our work schedule and we really didn't have time for the "car buying experience". It started with the salesman, Geoffery Magnuson. He was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. The sales manager Donny Gay was helpful and fair in dealing with our trade. We concluded with John Dewitte in the finance department. John was informative and efficient. I would highly recommend these three salespeople and I am assuming that they represent the rest of the crew at Knudtsen Chevrolet. Nice when we bought our car at an ok price... but when it came time to get somethings fixed after a few miles they really don't care... we took it there three times (still under warranty) and they say that its not noticeable to them... so they wont fix it... wont do business here again, ill go some place that gives a sh*t. He called me at 7:30 the next morning to verify my requests and ask questions to help the service team determine the cause of the problem. I would give zero stars if I could. On multiple occasions we have dropped off our vehicle for a small repair (that should take an hour or less) and they keep it all day. Also on numerous of these occasions at the end of the day- they haven't done the repair they promised. There's no apologize or care of the inconvenience. Let me just say, I have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership, one at a fair price, the other at almost triple the cost (my mistake for trusting them to be fair like the first time) and it was filthy when they handed me the keys, which I had to detail myself just to drive it - 8 months pregnant with twins mind you. I have serviced all 3 of my vehicles here - religiously. I'm a loyal customer and put up with a LOT before I am so frustrated with the non-sense it becomes more of a nuisance than convenience. I have never had issues dropping my keys off in the dark drop and having my car available when it was time to pick it up. Until recently. I dropped my car off for a quote as my last visit they had magically discovered an oil leak. Amazing as it was just over the warranty miles and I had the service department do a thorough check for anything that the warranty might cover before it had expired. This recent phenomenon was discovered at a regular oil change. Hmm...? Odd that it would all of a sudden start leaking when just a few miles ago it was supposedly checked over and all was good. I received the call for the quote while I was out of town. They wanted over $1500 to fix the 3 possible issues. No way did I have the funding available at a drop of a hat to fork over that kind of cash for something that should have been caught during the oil change before the warranty ran out, and the supposed thorough check they did as well before the warranty ran out. I couldn't believe it! Needless to say, I went to pick up my car once I returned from my trip, grabbed my key, and went in search of my vehicle. Would you believe they had removed my license plates and had an "As Is" sign in the window?! Good Lord! It was just coming in for a quote, not a free paycheck for them! I was livid! They promised they would find my plates, but to no avail. Due to their incompetence, they went and re-registered my car (which I had to go pick up the plates anyway because the licensing department wouldn't give the plates to them - inconvenient). Then, as an apology, they offered to replace my windshield. As a further apology, they detailed my car and delivered it to my work. My word of wisdom for all of you? Stay with your car and KNOW your car, mechanical and all. Unless, of course, you have the time and patience to go back and forth and possibly come back to no car at all but an exorbitant bill. read more
