I've gone with KO Taco Catering a few times for past parties and every time they exceed expectations. The food is always delicious, the cooks are pleasant, and they do a wonderful job making our guests happy with their food order. Recently Paul came out for a graduation lunch and he was great. Not only was he nice and easy to talk to, he even helped me get stuff from my car during setup prior to the event start time. I've used them before and I'll use them again. From setup, to service, to tear down, Alex and Lisa were attentive, friendly, communicative, and just the best. KO catered my small (25pp) gathering and we felt very well taken care of. KO Tacos was a business to watch - and I did for a year because I have intended to do business with them for a while. Finally I got my chance and I have zero regrets. Sergio, the owner, was super responsive. We conducted business by text. His menu is clear and easy to understand and prices were super reasonable- especially in this economy. I got the KO 1 Menu which includes the following: three meats for tacos, frijoles de olla, rice, quesadillas, red and green salsa, cilantro, onions, tortilla chips, limón, and an agua fresca. I chose horchata. What's more is they provide the plates, forks, napkins, and cups! Bonus!!! All told I paid about $10 per person for a party of about 100 - I think you can do the math in terms of pricing. The food was a hit! Everyone raved about the flavor of all the food - most especially the al pastor. I saw many of my colleagues go back for seconds. And there were leftovers for even more goodness!! Amazing!!!!! KO Tacos went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me! They made sure my guests were fully fed. They brought their own stove top and cooked the food fresh! We had so much food I didn't realize how generous they were with portions. It was amazing food. We got asada and chicken, rice and beans, salsa and chips, and gluten free and vegetarian options. They were reliable, on time, very professional, and extremely kind. I'm so grateful for their help. I had a budget, and they were willing to make it work for what I could afford. Very disappointed! All the food lacked flavor, the meat did not taste like "quality meat" & the drinks were watered down & ice was melted. We spent over $1,000 for mediocre food. The cook was nice, but he arrived late. Food was supposed to be ready at 2:00 but it wasn't ready til like 2:50. So we had to pay him extra to stay later. The meats were Carne asada, pastor & chicken. On a scale from 1-10, taste was a 3.5. Everyone complained that the tortillas were cold. The rice was all stuck together in clumps. The beans were over salted, very salty. The red salsa tasted too spicy and lacked flavor. It had no taste, just chilies. The green salsa was blah. I also ordered aguas- Jamaica & limeade. They were extremely watered down, light in color & no flavor. None of our guests drank the aguas due to no taste, so the jugs stayed full. And they forgot to provide ladles. There was a ton of food left over because no one liked the food. The cook left us the left overs, but I ended up throwing it all away. We had 70 guests & No one liked it. I was so embarrassed with my guests that the catering food was horrible. I'm beyond disappointed. I would NOT recommend this business. What a waste of money. We're Mexican, we know what good Mexican food tastes like. This was NOT IT. The set up looked nice, but food was not good. The picture I'm attaching shows the clumpy rice. Thank goodness I made several extra side dishes for my guests. I noticed all the food I made was gone, and the majority of the catering food was untouched. No one turns down tacos, unless they're crappy. I deserve a full refund but I only got a refund for the aguas because I sent them back. I should have sent back all the left over food as well. However, the cook is a witness & knows how much food was left untouched. read more

I had a last minute need to feed 30-35 people at a small event at my house, and I reached out to KO Tacos the day before. They responded pretty much immediately, answered every question I had right away, and then helped me customize a menu for my event. Their chef showed up right on time (actually, a few minutes early even), put together a delicious selection of tacos, quesadillas, rice, beans, salsa, and omg the guacamole and the watermelon agua fresca - to die for! Food was delicious, service was fantastic, and when our chef closed up the taco bar, she packed up all my leftovers, cleaned up, packed out and left not a trace. This is a long overdue review. I've used KO Tacos twice now. The first time was a bit disappointing. But when I expressed my concerns to Sergio he validated my experience and asked for a second chance to Make up for it. Both times however I must say they are very prompt and communication is excellent. I needed to add extra time and more people and Sergio was very accommodating of that. Their website is very clear about all their offerings and packages. This second time around I was having an event in Camarillo. Again Sergio showed up on time in spite of the distance and offered excellent services. The food was delicious! I will definitely be using their services at our next event. read more

David & Jazz arrived at my house and got set up and started without anyone there - we were all at a Celebration of Life service - it was awesome to arrive and see everyone eating and enjoying the food. I had well over 50 folks at my house - all of them loved the food - the one person saying "the food lacked flavour" is trippin! My brother and I have had leftovers for the past two days, the meat still tastes great and I just vacuum sealed the leftovers so it will keep in my fridge. The is a really awesome catering company. I want to have a for no reason party just to hire them. The cook came on time. He was even willing to enter through the unlocked gate and face timed me to ask where to set up. This is because we were a bit late to arrive at the location. He was great with communicating.
