Love this place but I'm biased as I use to work here many years ago under a different owner, almost my whole family worked here at one point over the decades. Sitting the Hibachi Tables you get a great entertainment and excellent food. I LOVE their fried rice that I always get extra to go for later. The meat and shrimp in the Splash N Meadow is always juicy and yummy. They also have a full sushi bar with fresh and delicious sushi, hand rolls and unique rolls. My favorite is the Skydiver Roll and Kamikazee Roll, Scallop Volcano Roll and many others. Great place to go before and so much better than other hibachi places. One of my favorite places to eat when I'm in the Woodlands.

An update: We have been here a few times and the service was excellent again! We were seated quickly and our waiter was attentive and helpful. We both had the Orange Roughy - with bean sprouts and vegetables. While the vegetables were delicious the fish was a bit boring - no flavor to me until I asked for some teriyaki sauce and poured it over the fish - although my husband enjoyed it as it was served. Overall we enjoy the food here and the service.

So I will start this review by saying that I sat at a regular table not the hibachi table and I was there for lunch, I ordered the hibachi fillet Meal and it was wonderful, everything was fresh it came out exactly as I ordered it, because where I sat I did not get the show that you would normally get with a chef in front of you but everybody was pleasant and attentive and I would not hesitate going back

Great service. Was just disappointed when my crab ragoons didn't have actual crab meat in them.

Food was amazing as always!!! There were some small hiccups with the order being correct between waitress and cook, but it worked out ok.

I showed our waitress and she said well of course there's a bone because they only use whole fresh eel. Bruh. I mean it's $12 for 3 pieces of tuna sashimi. I'd expect the food to be fresh at those prices. Then she quickly snatched it out of my hand and left. I did hear a soft sorry as she spun around. She went off to tend to other tables. But later in the meal I did hear her talking in the back with a man in Chinese about how a customer was complaining about a small bone in l their food. Guess she doesn't know I speak Chinese. At the end of the meal, I asked our waitress if she was the owner. She said no, quickly followed by a "the owner is not here today". Then I asked whether the owner was Chinese. Super duper long pause, followed by a soft spoken yes. Well, my favorite place in Memphis is also Chinese owned. I think many of the Japanese restaurants are. Ah well.

AYCE sushi sounded like a good deal initially. But overall the quality just wasn't there…read more I do like that you can sample a lot of their different dishes and appetizers. And that's probably the main advantage of selecting this option. We came in with only an hour to spare, with last call being at 2:30 pm (despite the buffet running to 3 pm). But within 45 min we were done. The dishes came out reasonably quick. It's a 2 hour limit if you come earlier and can manage that much food. There's no sashimi. And the slices of sashimi on top of the rice that compose the nigiri are pretty thin. The hand rolls came out soggy which means they were sitting for a while. And they got a ton of rice inside each one. Lots of sauce too especially in the eel cucumber hand roll which I didn't care for as a result. The dragon roll and Conroe roll were both ok. Nothing special in terms of specialty rolls. Shrimp wontons look like crab Rangoon and the crab Rangoon looks like jalapeño poppers. I asked the waitress about this and she said they get that comment a lot. Hmmm. Just beware. Also the skin on them as well as the fried calamari tasted tough which I think usually is attributable to old oil. Not a big fan of the beef tataki or peppercorn tuna appetizers. They had a little kick to them but the flavor was off and the tataki was kind of tough. We were told the Yellowtail jalapeño appetizer is the same as the peppercorn tuna just different fish. So we passed. The mango salmon appetizer is salmon wrapped around a mango slice. Sounds ok but because they drench it in some sauce, it tasted kinda ick. Our order of coconut shrimp never came but we weren't disappointed as nothing through the meal wowed us and it was an afterthought order to fill us up before leaving. Tempura Fried Oreo is your chance to get a Fried Oreo if you've never had one. They come in a set of 3 but you can ask for just 1 if you're full or not a big desert person. Staff was friendly. And the place was pretty busy even late into the buffet hour. I think this place is Chinese owned. Heard a lot of staff speaking it mandarin and Cantonese. And "chi" actually means eat in Chinese ... Clever.

We had three pours to sample: Original, Black Barrel, and Triple Triple. Interesting that each of the three of us chose a different version as our favorite :) Served alongside the whiskey were a slider and what are arguably the very best steakhouse French fries I've ever had. I'm a fry snob and will only actually finish excellent fries. We polished these off along with an additional order! I found the slider to be satisfactory, but one at our table left hers half-eaten. We also ordered the steak bites and the Shitake dumplings. The dumplings were excellent! The bite was simultaneously savory with umami and freshly clean. The accompanying sauce was outstanding. The steak bites, however, were disappointing. The comment was made that you'd think a high end steak house could do better with a steak app. It was very under seasoned, so we "saved" it with the dumpling sauce. We were a tad disappointed that they ran out of the Jameson glasses that were supposed to come with the experience. Perhaps it was due to the fact that the rep waited til the very end (as we were about yo get the check) to approach our table with her spiel.
