Though for many fans that walked in they loved it. I noticed some people just came in for a photo op and walked right out. Now the food, I had fried rice because there's nothing vegetarian on the menu, or at least nothing I noticed other than fries or fried rice. At my table there was popcorn chicken, a chicken sandwich, a burger and chicken cutlet over rice. All the dishes have a themed name which I don't remember. For the most part everyone enjoyed their plates except for the popcorn chicken it was said to be too spicy (seasoning not heat), salty and hard.

They have you take off your shoes but they have a some "socks" for ya and a shoe rack and a place to hang your purses. They really do care for these kitties so much and do so much work to help socialize them. Thumper was their newest cat when I got there and so if you see them please give them a huge cuddle! When I was there, it didn't seem like staff was doing ENOUGH to stop patrons from behaving innapropriately. The other folks that were there with me were grabbing kitties, waving toys right in their faces, throwing toys at them. This one lady was just completely ignoring the cats body language. It kept hissing and nipping and her and flicking its tail and she just laughed and kept touching it and throwing a mouse toy at its face. It hurt to watch. I wish that patrons were given more instruction on how to approach cats, maybe a little card with some Do's and Don'ts. Not everyone has played with a cat before. I didn't end up petting any of the cats because they all looked like they were not in a mood to be pet. Which, of course, staff can't control. But the cats may be less overstimulated if people didn't poke at em. I was only there for 15 minuites. Maybe the staff was just having an off day. Maybe they are typically better about this I don't know. If any staff see this, I think it would be a good idea to give some of the patrons more direction beyond "don't pick up the cats."

Nothing stood out to me so I decided just to get the Strawberry Lemonade that had a hint of mint to it. It was actually quite refreshing on a hot day. The drink was pretty sweet but that is how I like my lemonades so no complaint there. The price was on par with the fact that it is a Hello Kitty branded cafe at a tourist location. What immediately stood out is how well the cats are treated -- they have full freedom to roam, plenty of toys to keep them entertained, and they're well fed and cared for. You can tell this place genuinely prioritizes making it a warm, comfortable space for the cats while they wait for their forever home. It's not a shelter -- it feels like a home. The staff made the whole adoption experience seamless. Jude especially was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable -- exactly the kind of person you want guiding you through the process. The rest of the team matched that same energy, and it made everything feel easy and stress-free from start to finish. My girlfriend and I couldn't be happier -- we found our girl Pinky, and she's already stolen our hearts. 10 out of 10, would recommend this café to anyone thinking about adopting. This is meant to be a "discounted" price for students to encourage them to visit and study, this is not the case and not viable. In fact, it is greedy. Disappointed in this company and brand.
