Strawberry Matcha Cream Latte is ~$8. It's good, but this felt overpriced.
    Brianna R.

Pros: - free parking - tasty drinks; lots of unique latte options that all sound so good - strong wifi Cons: - service is meh (not greeted & staff couldn't answer my questions about pastries) - a little pricey; I paid ~$8 for a matcha latte - seating is uncomfortable for working/studying Overall it was just okay to me. I wanted to like this place since the parking is free and they have a cool drink menu, but I can't get past bad service.

Such an underrated find on Wilshire. The drinks were really well made and tasted exactly how they were supposed to. The hojichawas especially good (they let me replace my syrup with no extra charge), and the other drinks were spot on too (ube tasted exactly like ube, pandan matcha EXACTLY like pandan matcha) For a smaller spot, there's a surprising amount of seating, plus fast Wi-Fi and plenty of charging ports, so it's also a solid cafe to study or work at. The only downside is that some of the seating has limited leg space and can get a little uncomfortable after a while. Overall, a lowkey great cafe with good drinks, lots of seating, and a nice setup for studying. Definitely worth checking out.

Love the matcha so much I always make my partner order it when I don't wanna make my own haha sometimes it's slightly milky but other than that this is the best banana matcha in the area for me

Loved this place! I got the banana coffee and it was delicious!! It was a perfect balance of sweet and strong. I also got the cream cheese and jalapeño croissant and despite going late at night it tasted fresh and soft. The staff was friendly and got our drinks out fast.

This is a cute little coffee shop with free parking. There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the drinks. We got the Americano and Madagascar Cream Top Latte. Definitely liked the latte more since it's sweeter.

what a gem to find in a random plaza on wilshire! off the bat, points for having a parking lot that ISN'T valet or timed (rare find in this part of LA). great place to study, sit around, or chill - lots of seating & power outlets. cute interior of a typical coffee spot in the city. i ordered the matcha cream latte - the cream definitely overpowered the matcha. personally i prefer a stronger, bitter matcha taste so this drink is definitely for people who are more on the sweet treat side. i would def come back if i wanted space to read + enjoy coffee

Amazing coffee located on wilshire blvd, they offer a wide variety of drinks. I ordered the Madagascar vanilla late, Banana kick cream and Vienna latte all which tasted great. The drinks are perfectly balanced in my opinion, other cafes in the area make similar lates too sweet but not here they got it down. Staff is very friendly and the inside of the store is well lit making it a good place to study. I've heard good things about their matcha and Hojicha so I will for sure be coming back here. (P.S. If you come here before 8am most likely you will need to use the back entrance don't be scared if the gate is still down after 7:30am)

    Misa O.

Their coffee tasted a bit sour and acidic, but the cream was so thick and delicious that it cut through it okay. I think this is one of the best Pistachio Cream Tops I've had and this is such a cute spot with parking and very friendly workers. The flavor profile and quality of their matcha is one of my favorites as well. I can see this being a top LA cafe for me as soon as they learn to dial in their coffee a bit better.

    Emeline L.

It has a parking lot!! Great cafe. Enough seating to chill, talk, work. It was a one woman show, and the worker was really nice and friendly. Knowledgeable about the drinks. I didn't have to clarify sugar amount so if you need to, maybe let them know beforehand. I got the Hojicha Cream Latte and my friend got the Banana Kick Cream Latte. I loved the Hojicha one so much. It was very flavorful and the cream ratio was perfect. The Banana Latte was too sweet for my liking. The bread was yummy. We'll be back!

I got the pandan cream foam latte and the banana foam latte. I liked the flavor of both drinks, but I felt like the pandan flavor in the foam was pretty faint and not as strong as I expected. The banana foam latte, however, was really good. Their menu has a lot of interesting drinks, and service was good, everyone was friendly and helpful. They also have parking, which makes it much easier to visit, especially since it's in the middle of K-Town. There's plenty of seating inside, making it a perfect place to study.

Ample seating for the size of the location
    Jorge G.

Was very impressed with this coffee shop. Often times, many new coffee shops are mid, ran by people who don't really know how to properly make great coffee and run a shop. Thankfully that was not the case here. Everything about the experience was above average. My banana latte is one of my favorites in LA. Got to see the barista expertly work out their craft while making a few drinks. I want to go back and try a black coffee and another of their signature drinks. The location is very inviting and they have plenty of seating and a parking lot which not every coffee shop in the area can provide. I'm gonna say, see you soon Koffeeski

    Robyn Mei M.

Loved the fact that there's free parking and they are open late. Good amount of plugs too. Drink was ok, nothing special I got the pandan latte but didn't really taste the pandan flavor. Willing to give them another try for their other drinks!

The first time was back in May with a friend during a special event that had a costumed character and a pretty long line outside. I also came back recently to try their limited-time Captain Buggy dessert and stopped by about an hour before closing. The atmosphere is easily one of the biggest reasons to come here. The entire inside is decorated to look like the interior of a pirate ship, and the walls are covered with the characters' wanted posters. If you're a One Piece fan, there's a lot to look at and it definitely makes the experience more fun. Service was great both times. During the first visit, there was a long line because of the event, but the staff were still really friendly and helpful despite the crowd. The second time I came in right before closing, and the staff were still welcoming and didn't make us feel rushed. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the food and drinks. The first visit we ordered the matcha horchata, onigiri, katsu sandwich, and fried rice. Everything was better than I expected, especially considering this is more of a themed cafe experience. On my second visit, I got Captain Buggy's Carnival Crunch dessert, which actually tasted better than I was expecting! You'd think the fried PB&J uncrustable covered in fruity pebbles and topped with vanilla ice cream and sprinkles would be overwhelming, but surprisingly the flavors and textures went really well together! I'd honestly get it again. Overall, I really enjoyed both visits. The prices are pretty standard for an LA restaurant, so I didn't have any complaints there. Obviously, the biggest appeal is being a One Piece fan, but even beyond the theme, the food was solid and the staff were great. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the series, especially when they have special events or limited-time menu items. I'll probably be coming back here next time I'm in the area just to embrace my inner otaku.

What immediately stood out is how well the cats are treated -- they have full freedom to roam, plenty of toys to keep them entertained, and they're well fed and cared for. The staff made the whole adoption experience seamless. Jude especially was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable -- exactly the kind of person you want guiding you through the process. My wife and I have been married for 50 years, and throughout our marriage we have had all kinds of pets--dogs, rabbits, and cats. We have always loved and cared for our animals, and they have all lived out their natural life spans. In fact, we currently have a one-year-old cat whom I brought home from a shelter last year. Last week, I visited CatCafe Lounge and immediately fell in love with one of the cats. I wanted to give her a loving home. We own our home, already have a well-cared-for cat, and have a long history of responsible pet ownership. Nevertheless, my adoption application was rejected without any explanation. When I asked why, they would not give me a reason. I can only assume that our age may have worked against us. As you might have guessed, my wife and I are senior citizens. I find it disappointing that our age could be considered a reason to deny us the opportunity to adopt, especially given our long history of loving and caring for animals. CatCafe Lounge is certainly a wonderful place to visit and interact with cats. But if your intention is to adopt, be aware that even with a stable home and a long history of responsible pet ownership, there is no guarantee that your application will be accepted.

HAPPY 3,000th REVIEW!…read more In honor of this milestone (like I did for the last 1k), I HAVE to give an updated review on MY FAV BUSINESS & 2023 YELP SERVICES BEST FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF WINNER, ASAYORU MAID CAFE!!! 2 years have passed since my last update, & they just keep getting better. Check my 1st review & last update if you want to see how far they've come. They finally had their grand opening this year, & from soft open to grand opening, the location has evolved once again! From start to finish, the attention to MOE detail & decor is to die for. Since this is an updated review, I'm focusing on the big & new, so feverishly points below LOOK AT MY OLD REVIEWS IF YOU WANT BASIC MAID CAFE & ASAYORU REVIEWING!! The events they host are SO, SO FUN & unique. Some are ticketed, while others are special shifts reserved through Yelp. The theming is always fantastic, whether it's a maid birthday, costume event (office day, shrine maiden, flight stewardess, etc.), or Maid with Love event, where a maid chooses a special menu for that day. These are GREAT! Where else can you have lomo saltado, nasi padang, & super-caffeinated drinks prepared 4 different ways at a maid cafe??? I also LOVE the events featuring guests & talents, including overseas idols & V-tubers. I normally wouldn't listen to this genre or become a fan, but I've discovered so many groups & artists simply because I attended an event or collab at Asayoru on a whim. I'm grateful they've expanded my horizons further into otaku culture (every day I become less of a normie & more powerful, thank you). They also have seasonal limited menus, plus menus exclusive to Asa morning & Yoru evening shifts. I'm not a morning person, but I NEED to level up & attend Asa shifts for the morning food, relaxing atmosphere, & Asa chekis with the maids. (The long, elegant maid dresses are TO DIE FOR.) This part is for the people who actually read this far & are okay with my denpa schizotypical ravings (I know like 1 GUY WHO READS THEM). This isn't for everybody. But if it isn't for you, can you really say you're enjoying life? What are you doing besides being a surface-level NPC? But I digress. All the maids are incredibly nice & fun. Getting to know them is one of the best parts, & if you're cool enough, you'll eventually have a favorite (oshi). THAT'S when the cafe gets SUPER fun!! The maids have image colors, so you can get pen lights, order an oshi float in their color, buy merch, cheki, bromides, etc. to support your oshi. You can take pictures of your chekis (Polaroids) or merch with your food or during outside adventures & tag them. It's SO fun! Asayoru is also a great window into oshikatsu culture. If you haven't experienced the true & pure love of having an oshi, visiting Asayoru is a MUST! Your life will change for the better! Trust! Which SEGWAYS into the merchandise. CHECK IT OUT IN THE LOBBY! Almost all (like 95%) is designed & produced by the maids themselves. Acrylic stands, keychains, stickers, buttons, bromides (THE PHOTOS ARE AMAZING), apparel, bags, towels, & much more! Instead of supporting a K-pop idol who will never know you exist, support an Asayoru maid! (JK, don't crucify me.) LEADING ME TO MY NEXT POINT: Asayoru also hosts Hyperstellar, a maid showcase modeled after Japanese idol taiban shows. The maids perform solo or in groups, sometimes with themes or fun costumes, alongside idol groups. It's a great intro to idol culture or simply a fun concert experience. Afterwards, there's buppan, with cheki Polaroids & meet-and-greets. You can also attend Milkyway Marketplace at Atlantic Times Square, hosted by Asayoru. There's an Itasha showcase, participating plaza businesses, anime-themed artists & vendors, a stamp rally, & an outdoor stage with performances all day. Also, to everyone who goes here after I recommend Asayoru at my panel or elsewhere & then malds at waiting (or at me specifically in your review): open a mobage, read a VN, talk to your friends, or SOMETHING. The maids are working hard & doing their best. I wrote this before & want to reiterate it: Asayoru Maid Cafe is truly a passion project & manifestation of the love, effort, & dreams of all the maids & staff involved. I will always love Asayoru Maid Cafe. I've supported them through years of growth & change, & I can only hope to update this review again for my 4,000th review & see how much they've changed by then!

I've been to universal studios plenty of times but always missed going to this place. It is a wonderful place to frequent if you have the time and have a season pass like I did. The food ordered were the 1-up green mushroom hot pocket vegetarian. It actually tastes like this hot pocket microwaveable pizzas you would otherwise get at the grocery store. But, the design, look and uniqueness of the food was delicious looking. I also ordered a pretzel with three sauces. This item was their best deal for a snack as it was about $10 and with the discounted season pass about $8 or so. It was cheaper than the mushrooms and drinks here. Also less fattening and less unnatural ingredients. I thought service was average and to be fair, isn't a pleasant job. The ambiance is cute and nice to look at. Great interior and exterior design throughout. The overall appeal and decoration were spectacular more or less. Good meal to have to keep you from getting lightheaded in this heat. For some reason, always crowded with tourists and locals. The lines even on a Friday morning were ridiculous. However, the lines even for this place was sort of okay. I rate the following below: 1-up mushroom 3/5, it was a unique looking hot pocket more or less Pretzel with dipping sauce 4/5, better value better taste simple and came with three decent sauces to overcome this bland taste by itself of a pretzel. There wasn't even salt on the pretzel. It was bready, but the sauces were great. Good comeback to bland. I would come back just to get the pretzel for its value and the three sauces that make up for the blandness the pretzel had anyway. It tasted fine texture wise, not too hard and not too soft.

It's a very cute and cozy coffee shop and there was no line when we arrived. The menu had a huge selection of different coffee and tea drinks and also a seasonal menu. The staff were very kind and patient and swiftly prepared the Vienna Latte and Hojicha Latte we ordered. The Vienna Latte is so visually stunning, the layers of white milk, brown espresso, thick white cream, brown cocoa powder and Biscoff layered on top of each other against the dark green logo was so aesthetic. Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. So I went up and asked if it would taste good dirty, with an espresso shot in it, and the barista said yes. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. The shot added much depth and flavour to the hojicha latte I was craving. Thanks for the wonderful service. I'm definitely coming back to try their other specialty drinks.
