Looks like this replaced tom+tom black but everything looks exactly the same. As a place to solely study, this cafe is pretty decent. There's good seating, Wi-Fi, late night hours, a nice interior, and it's pretty quiet compared to other cafes. But the drinks are not good. The banana matcha looked good, you couldn't even taste the matcha, which is the bare minimum for a matcha latte ~$9 The affogato uses Breyers ice cream and was ~$7, which felt insanely overpriced for Breyers ice cream with some espresso poured on top The Spanish latte was nothing special either. Nice cafe spot! I was surprised by the offerings and how delicious the food was, as sometimes I feel like food at cafes are not worth its value. Service was friendly. The man calling out the orders of the food seemed very nice too. I got a mango latte (espresso) and a fried chicken sandwich. The drink is on the more expensive side ($8) but it was decadent and smoooth. I personally like my coffee stronger / lower milk ratio but it was yummy regardless. I loved how there were real mango pieces at the bottom. Now onto the spotlight of this study trek - the fried chicken sando. I was in awe of the thick bread it was presented on and the coating of the sauce. I didn't expect there to be sauce but it was really good! It reminded me of korean fried chicken but in a sandwich. The chicken was good and the lettuce helped provide a bit of freshness from the heaviness of the bread and coated chicken. Onto seating - it's a decently sized cafe but it is busy. There are indoor and outdoor seats with a variety of small tables to big tables that could be shared between 8 people. The indoor seating seems more popular as that's where outlets are located. One my new cafe obsessions in Ktown! Easy parking, lots of seating & outlets. The strawberry matcha & tuna melt was so good! Cute decor inside as well. Love that in addition to the booth/table seating I show a picture of, there's a row of more "counter" seating with outlets. Great for solo guests so seating space is optimized in my opinion. Love this place. This corner has been a few things over the years, and it's a joy to discover Cafe Mogoo has arrived with so much to offer. Breakfast/lunchy foods, plus coffee and sweet drinks in a laid-back and comfortable setting. Students, friends, families, nearby professionals all seem to know about this coffee shop -- that is much more than just a coffee shop. My espresso drink was the Spanish latte - and I really liked it. Though I typically don't want anything in my coffee, this was worth the gamble. Not too sweet, but still very satisfying. The menu is easily accessible on the wall behind the counter, or at the counter in print, or at the digital kiosk when you first walk in. I enjoyed the Shakshouka for brunch. A zesty sauce with the eggs dropped in. Though the eggs were more cooked than I typically prefer, they were very good -- plus I probably messed up the timing with taking pictures. Served with toast. I completely bypassed all the great-looking pastries. However, I did order a side of the chicken that is found in their Fried Chicken Sando. Nothing fancy, but fresh and crunchy and just enough kick. Great way to sample this chicken. The Bagel Salmon Sandwich is also very good -- I had a bite of that. I love the booths and tables and different types of seating options here. Chill cafe. Order at the kiosk by the door and they call your name. Tried their strawberry banana smoothie with almond milk. He had green tea. Sat in the private area by the front of the restaurant at the community table. Very tastefully designed with interesting light fixtures. Servers were fine. Smoothie was good, not too sweet. Nice study spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We ended up finding street parking next to the cafe. Ordered through a kiosk, which was convenient. We ordered the Matcha Einspanner, Banana Cream Latte, Mango Cream, and basque cheesecake for about $40 total. In my opinion, it was a bit on the pricier side. Unfortunately, the drinks were disappointing. The matcha mostly tasted like milk, and while the coffees were okay, I probably wouldn't order them again. There's free parking garage next to the cafe. We ordered Matcha Einspanner and Banana Cream Matcha per recommendation of the staff. It's actually the best Banana Cream Matcha I've ever had. The Banana Cream was so spot on and well blended with Matcha. Oh man, I really love this place. I initially stopped in because I work right by here, but after a while, I started to look forward to my time at Cafe Mogoo. The coffee is great -- I've had the Banana Cream Latte (my favorite, it's so good if you like banana!!) and the Dalgona Latte. The Yuzu Matcha Tonic as well. Recently, I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich on the recommendation of one of the servers and it was excellent! It's so big and very tasty -- just an incredible combo of flavors. Parking isn't so hard to find, but I'm usually here at night time since this cafe is always open late. Good spacious spot for late night work and studying! I got a matcha einspanner and for the most part it was pretty solid. I was able to taste the matcha but i thought it was on the sweeter side so i would probably ask for less sweet next time. the food and their drink menu looks really good which makes it a nice place to stay for a while and get some work done and not starve. There are limited outlets where the tables are but there is a middle seat aisle with outlets if you don't mind sitting there. The service was nice and friendly and the inside had plenty of seating. there is also free parking in the back! read more

Stopped by on a Thursday at 12pm and it was surprisingly busier than I thought (and got even busier throughout the afternoon). The BEST part about this place is the FREE PARKING - so rare in KoreaTown so it's such a gem of a find! I ordered the mango matcha and sweet potato croissant taiyaki. The matcha wasn't too sweet but was a little watered down for my taste. It did seem like they used fresh mango which was nice. The taikayi as well wasn't too sweet and had a nice crispy flake to it. Overall, it seemed really similar to tom n tom that was here before Mogoo but with a paired down menu. It can get loud and cramped while studying so make sure to bring noise canceling headphones! read more

Was here on Labor Day with a friend and noticed they had a new menu item; Matcha Affogato! I hope they keep their on the menu as they can be creative with this dessert! my friend and i saw this place on instagram so we decided to check it out as well as study here - the interior was spacious with lots of seatings. we didn't see outlets near the tables but we did see them on the middle bar seating area - we got the strawberry matcha (size: m) and the banana cream matcha (size: m). the strawberry matcha (4.3/5) had a good amount of strawberry flavor with the creaminess of the matcha. the banana cream matcha (4.4/5) was also creamy and the banana flavor didn't overpower the whole drink. however, the drinks did have a lot of ice in them which watered down the drink and they were slightly on the pricey side. - the servers were nice and assisted us to our needs. this cafe wasn't too loud so it was actually very nice studying here would come back here to study again whenever we're in the area read more

This newly opened coffee shop is located in Koreatown which is widely known for parking issues. Cafe mogoo offers free private parking. There's lots of inside and outside seating which is perfect for studying and working, and better yet, they're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cafe Mogoo offers signature drinks that are popular in Korea. I met here with my nephew and we ordered 3 drinks, dalgona, lavender matcha and Mango matcha. I tried all 3 and I loved them all. We also ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich, a chipotle chicken sandwich and Hong Kong toast for dessert. Oh my goodness! If the drinks were good by themselves, they even taste better if you pair them with these delicious eats. Service was very friendly and staff even help you out in making suggestions about your order. ‼Some images on this review are before the rebrand to Mogoo This is a pretty good spot that stays open late until midnight. It is pretty spacious inside and great for socializing or long periods of a book or computer work. The staff is generally nice, they can make decent recommendations as well. The menu is fairly large and you can probably get a bite to eat along with dessert or coffee. There's also a parking structure connected to the building, which is absolutely great for this area If you need a late night, place to socialize or get work done, this is a good spot. read more

I visited for the first time on a Tuesday around 3pm. The inside was pretty full with people working and studying on their laptops. When you enter they have 2 kiosks where you can place your order. They offer smoothies, matcha, and acai bowls to name a few. I went with the acai bowl which was good! I sat outside since it was less crowded and there were plenty of tables available. I left around 6pm and that's when more people started coming in and seating became limited. Overall, a good spot to get work done with good food options! read more

Personally was not a huge fan of the drinks here especially given the quality that can be found at other cafes in LA; matcha was watery and similar for the coffee. However it is an amazing spot to study in LA. The food options are decent though especially for study snacks - $5 for fries. They have their own parking lot which is unheard of in Koreatown, it's located beneath the cafe so look closely for the alley that leads to it. There are plenty of seats and outlets and they're open late. Quiet ambiance good for studying. They also have a large outdoor seating area as well - you can study here all day! read more

I got the Banana Cream Latte and my friend got the Banana Cream Matcha Latte. Both were good. They have free parking which is always a plus. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. We started with coffee. My boyfriend ordered a mocha, and I ordered a salted caramel latte. His drink was fine, but mine had absolutely no flavoring. As a former barista, I could immediately tell it was just a plain iced latte. I politely asked the waitress if they had forgotten the syrup, and she insisted, "There is syrup in it, but I can ask them to add more." I knew there wasn't any syrup, but I didn't want to argue, so I said, "Sure, please add more." A few minutes later, the manager came over and told me they actually didn't have salted caramel. So I asked if I could just get a regular caramel latte instead. She then told me they couldn't make that either because they were out of caramel sauce, the very reason they couldn't make the salted caramel in the first place. So why hand me a plain iced latte and tell me it had syrup when you knew you didn't even have the ingredients? Why not simply come back and let me know you were out and ask if I'd like something else? Instead, I was given a regular latte at the price of a flavored one (plus they later charged me for the syrup they never even added). For context, I had originally ordered a dirty chai, which they also couldn't make. So that's two drinks they didn't have, yet no one thought to communicate that before serving me something completely different. When I told the manager I'd look back at the menu for another option, she responded, "Okay... are you going to tell the waitress what drink you want?" I just looked at her, confused, and said, "Well... yeah?" How else was I supposed to order a replacement? The interaction came across as unnecessarily rude. Then it was time to order food. My boyfriend ordered the truffle burger, and I ordered the French toast. The waitress came back a few minutes later and said they couldn't make the French toast. No problem, I told her I'd also have the truffle burger. She acknowledged it, wrote it down, asked how I wanted it cooked, and what side I wanted. I ordered it medium-well with fries. So both burger orders were sent in at the same time. About 20 minutes later, the food arrived, but only my boyfriend's burger and an extra side of fries that we never ordered. At that point, we didn't even bother saying anything about the fries because we were trying to avoid making things more difficult. We waited another 20 minutes (even though it was so slow). My boyfriend finished eating, and my burger still hadn't come out. Finally, we asked for the check and requested that my burger be removed since it never arrived. That's when the waitress told us I had never ordered a second burger. I was honestly speechless. I reminded her that she had taken my order after telling me they couldn't make the French toast. She had written it down, asked how I wanted it cooked, and asked what side I wanted. Her response was that she thought I meant only my boyfriend's burger. That explanation made no sense because my boyfriend's order had already been taken before she took mine. It honestly felt like we were being gaslit over something as simple as ordering a burger. To make matters worse, after we paid and were finally leaving, I looked at the receipt and realized I had been charged for the salted caramel latte that I never actually received. We had to go back yet again. Thankfully, a different employee, not the waitress or the manager helped us. They were friendly, understanding, and quickly corrected the charge. I'm not sure if management has changed, but this entire experience was unnecessarily frustrating from beginning to end. Everything that could have gone wrong did. Honestly, I should've taken the "B" health grade posted on the window as a warning. We ended up walking over to Blue Bottle next door for coffee instead, and I'd absolutely recommend going there if you're looking for a place that actually values customer service. After four years of coming to Zinc, this experience has me seriously questioning whether I'll ever be back.
