Beef pho kolache - 9.5/10 really has the beef pho flavor. This is a really heavy kolache but it is really a beef pho in a bun. The beef is so rich and juicy and they don't skip out on the filling at all. Breakfast taco - 9/10 It has you saying "'mmmm!" As soon as you bite into it. Been here a couple of times and all the food was amazing! My wife loves the elote cornbread and I enjoy the pho kolache. Though everything tasted great including the Ube Snickerdoodle the place is a little cramped on the inside. First off this is the cutest breakfast place with an open backyard patio. Love their decor and cute aesthetics. The beef pho kolache was very good. They def nailed the pho broth flavor, so yummy and delicious. The beef melts in your mouth and tastes so good dipped in the hoisin/sriracha sauce. The cheeto kolache was interesting, not something i'd get again or recommend. The crossaint was flaky and had a strong yellow cheese sauce inside, it was a little too soggy for me. The last thing we got was some sort of apply cookie butter muffin and it was not the best. The muffin had little flavor and was neither moist or dry. Unique and vintage coffee shoppe within the EaDo district of Houston. This part of town isn't too far off from the novelty of hanging out, or heading towards downtown htx. Just dropped by for a little bit as I was headed towards discovery green for a venture in the park. My friend and I entered about 30 minutes before closing. The staff was as stiff as cardboard. No warmth or anything. We decided upon cold bevvies as it was a warm day out in the city. They made me a simple iced latte, which was refreshing and milky. Not too strong. Just good. My friend enjoyed his herbal iced tea which was packed with flavor and was lightly sweetened. We also grabbed their thick and chewy chocolate chip cookie. It was delicious and buttery. Not entirely sure how the other pastries would fare but they certainly looked tasty. It would have been great to meet the owner. I have known about Koffeteria right when they were opening in this part of town. Loved the antique interior - the cupboard, cabinets and little trinkets. The coffee table was dirty though and so was the floor around where we sat. Staff might have gotten busy since they were 30 mins til closing. Ah well. A little hyped. May visit earlier next time around and grab a different bevvie. Have heard quite a lot about their eclectic croissants. I'm not usually in the EaDo district of town, as it's a bit ways out. Went on a Saturday morning after reading good reviews and also JB award nomination and would want to say found a decent coffee shop in Houston. Ordered salty Cambodian and was recommended hot and especially if they are charging $10 should be the best coffee but was a let down very very very overpriced drink may be not worth more than $5 but wouldn't order it again for same price. But surprisingly it taste lot better when cooled down. Also got their pistachio baklava croissant and was expecting to have pistachios per description but there was ZERO filling except for syrup inside and some crushed pistachios on top, with that being said the artistry and craftsmanship that went into making this was impeccable $8 is little pricy but well worth it. Along with this also got sticky rice Danish and guava rose Danish both have similar croissant base and fillings were really good and would definitely recommend and order them again. Cambodian elite cornbread was good with slight kick from spice. Got blueberry muffin which was my least favorite of all which didn't taste or have flavor of blueberry and was very dry also was getting slight bitter taste. But all in all a very nice spot for getting pastries and you can see the time and effort put in by the pastry chef. The ambiance was really good and modern and there is outdoor play areas for kids. One thing I have to point out is speed of service is very slow for coffee, it took me over 20 minutes to get my coffee after I placed the order. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and may be stay away from their fancy and pricy coffees but got with regular ones and saw they charged $2.5 for flavored syrups for your coffee so be aware of that. read more

A pretty solid spot for pastries and interesting coffee concoctions if you're in the area. The coffee: I was not the biggest fan of their version of my typical go-tos (cortado or drip coffee). I would not likely recommend this place for that reason. They do have some interesting specialty drinks that may be worth trying however. The salty cambodian was a bit odd to me, but the tiger uppercut was good. I was surprised that they nailed the thai tea and the espresso really adds to it. It may be a little on the watery side but I would still enjoy getting it. The food: The pastries are pretty good though as they have an in house bakery. If you're in the area looking for a snack or breakfast, this is a good place to check out. The space: It has a cozy, kind of modern atmosphere. Ordered the Tiger Uppercut! I think I'm not a huge fan of mixing coffee and tea so I'll probably try something else next time! Still creamy and both the coffee and tea were strong. Didn't get any pastries but everything displayed looked really good! Parking all along the street. Paid parking of course in EaDo. The outdoor seating is HUGE and really clean! Nice big couches! The only thing is that next door is a gym that plays really loud music so I could feel the bass going hard. But besides that, it was really clean and staff is super sweet! How I love thee. My fiance has been here many times and brought home the wonderful pastries and coffee. I can say I have loved every single thing I have ever had here. The buttery croissants, the cinnamon rolls, everything. These were the quiche and toasted cheese with tomato. Also absolutely amazing. The flavors cannot be beat. This was picked up more during this crazy blackout/icepacolypse. They were offering a free pastry and coffee. I can't say how generous they are. They have probably lost money over the last three day shut down but here they are trying to help the community. Koffeteria is amazing! Their menu is so unique and everything we had was superb. I ordered the London fog pastry and the scalloped potato kolache. Yuuuum! I love that there are plenty of options for vegetarians. The two coffee drinks we ordered were also outstanding. I ordered the Salty Cambodian and my husband got the Make Ya Halo. Both very different from each other. The Make Ya Halo is to die for. Do yourself a favor and try it. The ambience of the shop is so cute. We sat at the bar area. Great upscale bakery/coffee shop serving some yummy and unique treats. I stumbled across this place by perusing Yelps "Hot & New" lists in my email inbox. The name itself seemed interesting and I've been looking for places to try, so I visited the website and was pleasantly surprised to learn that this establishment was started by a pastry chef with a Khmer background. It's extremely rare to see Khmer restaurants, let alone shop owners who share this culture, so I knew I had to come and try it as soon as possible. I was able to secure parking on the side of the street. Walking in, the interior was nicely decorated and I quickly made my way to the display case of treats. Everything looked so good! I ordered a beef pho kolache, almond croissant, banana nutella cronut, and a Salty Cambo latte. I was able to exchange a couple sentences with Vanarin, the head pastry chef and shop owner. He was so welcoming and greeted me warmly. Even told me about a couple of pop-ups that he had planned later in the spring for Khmer food, so that was really nice. The kolache came out nice and warm; served on a plate with a little side of hoisin sauce and sriracha, topped with a small sprig of cilantro. As soon as I bit inside, the steam billowed out. The bread itself was a little mushy on the inside, since the broth got soaked up. Dipping the small meatball pieces in the sauce really does give you a (tiny) impression that you're eating pho. I wasn't too impressed with the texture of the kolache, but enjoyed the individual elements. The Salty Cambo latte was a pleasant surprise. I've never had butter in coffee but it gave it a new flavour profile, especially with that slight saltiness cutting through the sweetness of the milk and the jolt from the espresso. The pastries went back home with me, to be consumed later in the day in the comfort of my own home. I'm very glad I did that because it was such a treat to enjoy while I did my weekend ritual of binge-watching Netflix shows! The cronut was delicious; banana and chocolate are such a classic combo together. The layering of the almond croissant was great and loved the subtle flavour of the almond. I have been following Koffeteria on IG for a while but never got the chance to visit because I live far. Last weekend I finally got the opportunity to pass by and so I stocked up on a couple items to make it worthwhile. The staff was extremely nice and attentive. They introduced me to their most popular items and also gave me tips on how to reheat the pastries using the air fryer. I got a box containing beef kolache, char siu quiche, monster cookie and pistachio croissant. All items were delicious but my 2 most favorites were the quiche and the croissant. The quiche was just delicious! The egg was fluffy and jiggled lol the crust was buttery and flakey! They even made a salad to go with it. The house smelled so good when I reheated it. The croissant was buttery, nutty and flakey. It was just yummilicious! I will definitely come back again to try their other items. Love that they experiment and have new items on the menu! We visited Koffeteria completely by accident. As a favor I drove someone to work in the area and the line at Brother's was ridiculous for our 15 minute time frame. So, I pulled up the app and saw that this place was just around the corner and has exceptional reviews. They are not wrong. We tried the following: - Scone - Butter croissant - Tiger Uppercut (Thai tea but I requested no espresso) - Roasted Almond Geva tea I can't wait to visit again with a bit more time. Wonderful experience! The specialty coffee menu is so fun and SO UNIQUE! The pastries are incredible and once again UNIQUE! I would highly recommend the sesame shortbread and the coconut-ube-mochi pastry (DIVINE). My Chinese-sausage taco was also so good. The service was amazing and the workers were so kind. The seating area (bar and tables/chairs) is so cute. I will definitely bring a laptop next time to do actual work (other people were working as well). Stopped for a late breakfast while driving through Houston and had one of the best kolaches I've ever eaten. The kielbasa and cheese, as simple as it is, was unlike any other kilo he I've eaten. My fiancé who has a very different flavor palate than me also loved it. The filling was delicious, and the bread was very flavorful.
