Kogane is a quaint and cozy ramen spot in Brooklyn Heights. The ramen is great at reasonable prices and you get a view of the bridge as a bonus. I came for a weekday lunch with a friend and we were seated immediately. Service is friendly. My friend and I shared the takoyaki which was pretty good. For mains, my friend and I enjoyed our Parco Pork and Vegetable Ramen respectively. The Parco Pork curry broth isn't super thick but still pretty flavorful. Portions were average sized. Overall, I would come back and try the red tonkotsu that the waitress recommended. Nothing beats a tasty, hearty meal with a view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.

One of the best ramens I have had. I ordered the Parco Ramen, with katsu pork in a yellow curry broth. It was delicious and incredibly flavorful. We were served tea at the end of our meal, which was a nice surprise. The value is quite good as well - the ramens are all 16-19 dollars.

Favorite ramen spot in NY. Absolutely never a miss with the spicy miso ramen. They have just so many great options to choose from. It's a hole in the wall type of spot but honestly it was really just for a Sunday evening! They are pretty great with their service despite the crowd and I left super happy and warm after my good bites.

Kogane is one of the best ramen options around this part of Brooklyn, and I say this knowing Tsuta and Mr. Taka are further down in Dumbo. I've been to their Chelsea location before as well, but I quite enjoy the neighborly feel of this Brooklyn Heights location. There is outdoor seating available, but the cozy tables inside exude a nice zen ambiance when you visit during their off-peak hours. My usual order is their tonkotsu ramen ($17) or their spicy miso ramen ($18). I think both bowls are very solid, classic options that you can't go wrong with. The portions are quite generous and while they do offer kaedama ($4.50) which is extra noodles if you have leftover broth, I have never needed it. The staff here are super friendly and they also take Apple Pay!

Great spot in this area! the mackerel was flavored well and had a good crispy skin on it. The ramen was the perfect amount of spice but may be a bit smaller in portions, which was great for me (I usually don't finish my ramen but this one I was able to). Shop is small and cozy, great vibes. Service was pretty quick too!

I was feeling noodle soup, so found Kogane Ramen on a Monday night. It was a chilly night, but the heater was way too strong for us inside the restaurant. Luckily, they have an outdoor patio where we sat instead. This was perfect as you really warm up with the hot ramen. We started off with a Hot Sake ($11) and a Sapporo Draft ($7). For the ramen, I got the Miso Lobster Ramen ($22) because how often do you get lobster in your ramen? The price is pretty reasonable as well for lobster. They even bring you a claw cracker to help you, but it wasn't really needed. When the bowl arrived, it seemed like a small bowl; but it's actually a lot. The bowl is deep, which made it deceiving. Such a well-rounded bowl of ramen from depth of broth to variety of toppings and tender chashu. Glad to have this in the neighborhood whenever I have a ramen craving.

We ordered yuzu ramen which tasted weird like a whole lemon was added in without tasting much of the tonkotsu broth. Very disappointing experience compared to authentic yuzu ramen places I've tried. Eggplant was too sweet as well. For the price could have been better.

Hey this place made me start giving reviews after 2/3 long years on yelp- Food here is amazinggggggg!!! Loved their Ramen but the best thing was their Ramen Burger- Service was quick and pleasent- a MUST go place in Brooklyn heights! Also Prices were sooooo reasonable.

A great ramen location in Brooklyn Heights. They have indoor and outdoor dining since Covid. The service was great even being seated outdoor, the waiter and waitress consistently comes and check up on the tables. I like how they have a good section of appetizers and ramens. I usually get a Brussels sprouts is always made just right. The sweet potato fries and takoyaki is also not bad. My go to ramen is the Tonkotsu ramen, the soup base is flavorful yet not too salty. The noodles are slightly tours the firm side. Sometimes the braised pork belly can be overwhelming fatty. You can always choose to additional toppings bamboo shoot, noodles, soft boiled egg, pork for extra charge. They also have a small dessert menu!

Kogane is a cozy hidden gem of a ramen restaurant. The wait time was less than 10 minutes and the food came quick as well. We opted first for pork buns which came in soft pillowy buns with flavorful seared pork. Our mains were the Red Tonkotsu Ramen and the Parco Chicken Ramen which did not disappoint! The noodles were freshly made and perfectly chewy and the broth was flavorful and hearty. They were both topped with bamboo and a soft boiled egg. This was a chance finding for us in Brooklyn, but we are so glad we stumbled upon it!

I dont recall ever being on this side of Brooklyn. It was chilly outside so I decided to take my son for some ramen. It was worth the walk. Even the service was good. Inside is small but they do have outdoor dining also. We both enjoyed our ramen. The chicken was well seasoned, hot and crispy just the way we like it. The gyoza was decent. I definitely want to check out the area again when it gets warmer.

Stumbled upon this place as we had parked nearby. Great little place with outdoor dining! Service was excellent - they kept coming to refill our water! They even had water for our little dog! Ordered the red tonkotsu ramen and a regular tonkotsu ramen. Both were good but hands down our favourite was the regular tonkotsu. Our two year old loved it as well!

It's quite busy but the turnover rate is quick. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables and counter seating. But I've got to say I am disappointed by my overall experience based on how popular this spot is. You order from a menu you can write on, which allows you to customize your ramen selections (noodle thickness, broth, add-ons, etc). I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with spicy added. While the broth is pretty good, I think the overall ramen is a bit lacking compared to other ramen spots. I did not realize the ramen did not come with any ingredients besides the chashu meat and some scallions sprinkled on top. So this spot really requires you to customize and add on toppings. Usually other ramen spots already have selection of toppings in each type of bowl. So overall, my ramen was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. I do appreciate that you can add half or full serving of extra noodles for $1-2 if you want more. Also, like others mentioned, Ramen Danbo received a C health code rating. I didn't see this until halfway through my meal, but I probably would not have ate here if I saw it beforehand. Quite appalling for a restaurant that doesn't even have an extensive menu. Overall, the service is okay... I can't say I had any particular issues BUT I just felt like all the servers gave off the vibe that they just hated their jobs or something. It was just the vibe I got but it could just be me.

An absolute gem in South Park Slope!…read more We happened to be staying at a friend's place a few blocks away and was looking for something open on the later side with great food. We searched Yelp and came across Konoba Yakitori, and it absolutely hit the spot. My daughter and I loved our entire experience--everything from the food to the local neighborhood vibe to the incredibly friendly, attentive staff. Everything we ordered was fresh, cooked to perfection, and reasonably priced. We had the gyoza, edamame, Hamachi Lover, Ebi Shu Mai, and the $15 Beef Set (three beef skewers), accompanied by hot tea and Ramune. The beef skewers were a highlight--tender meat with seasoning that was spot-on. Warm, welcoming, prompt, and super efficient. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, and our waiter was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. Top-tier service all around. The space is small and cozy with a simple, comfortable design. Seating is a bit tight and close to neighboring tables, but there's nothing wrong with being snug, rght? It gets busy, but customers tend to eat quickly, so even without reservations, the wait moves well. Most importantly, despite it being a intimate spot, we never felt rushed at all. It's simple, which is what makes it amazing. An incredible restaurant all around--I love this place and can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

Reservations become available 14 days in advance on Resy, so I'd highly recommend booking early to secure a table during normal eating hours. Sadly, since it was just the two of us, we couldn't sample as much of the menu as we wanted. Our server recommended a hot appetizer and a fancier option from their Summer Special menu: KARAAGE - 14 Each order came with five thick pieces of chicken karaage. The chicken arrived hot and juicy, seasoned well enough to be enjoyed on its own or dipped in the side of shichimi mayo. This was a great appetizer to share, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a reliable classic. TEMAKI SET - 95 Served in roughly an 8"x8" wooden box, this set was lavishly topped toro, Hokkaido uni, ikura, and possibly Iberian ham, with crispt nori sheets on the side to make DIY handrolls. After scooping a bit of everything into a little wrap, I was greeted with the most intense, fresh sea flavors. The toro and Iberian ham were fatty and buttery, blending seamlessly with the velvety smooth uni and the fresh, bursting pops of ikura. I had to pause after every bite just to deeply savor it, and I lost count of how many times I said, "Wow, this is so good." Since I don't live in NYC, I generally avoid repeating restaurants even if I enjoyed them. However, Ozakaya is an exception to this rule -- it's easily one of the best meals I've eaten during all my recent visits. I don't know where they source their seafood, but it's incredibly fresh and packed with umami. The rosemary oil was very subtle (cool presentation as it was provided in a dropper!) The noodles were perfect--chewy and bouncy.
