    R4- Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen
    Bri K.

Hands down, one of my go-to place for ramen in bklyn. Everything came hot, which was perfect for the cold weather, and the flavors were bursting. I loved sweetness and creaminess of my thai tea and how simple yet umami-esque my spicy tonkotsu was. It's pretty spacious and has a rustic look but authentic Japanese decor. Our server was quick and attentive despite us being there during their busiest time. This was actually my second time coming here and I just know before spring hits I have to come back.

Looks very unassuming from the outside. Once inside, it is a very welcoming setting. The waiter came over right away, and was professionally pleasant. Yes, they can remove(86) the pork out of most meals and substitute. Food was tasty and delightful. They do charge an extra $1 if you order extra sauce(I.e. sweet chili sauce), which I found annoying based on the money you spend. Nonetheless, I found my experience grand and my belly was happy.

Tukpa is truly a hidden gem in Brooklyn! Everything on the menu is delicious, but the pork buns deserve their own spotlight they are honestly some of the best pork buns I've ever tried. Soft, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and just melt-in-your-mouth good. I would come back just for those alone! The ramen is rich, comforting, and full of depth, and the ingredients always taste fresh. The portions are generous, and the service is quick and friendly. The cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect place to warm up and enjoy a great meal. If you're in Brooklyn and craving amazing ramen and unforgettable pork buns, Ramen Tukpa needs to be on your list. Highly recommend!

Got take out, the food came right on time. The ramen is outstanding! The broth is hearty, flavorful, not as spicy as I thought spicy ramen would be. The noodles were cooked perfectly, as was the egg. The veggies were fresh. The aloo momo was a bit bland. Looking forward to trying more dishes from here!

I absolutely LOVE this Ramen place and I've never dined at their establishment . I usually order take out and it's ready in an efficient amount of time. Eventually I will sit down and enjoy their ramen indoors because the atmosphere is pleasant and pleasing . It's like a calming space . My to/go ordered is the Shio Ramen with additional add ons of 1 egg, spinach, and shrimp . Very tasty .in the winter months, this is my speed however I might check them out again next week . Love a good Ramen . Oh might I add, great customer service too !!!

Tuesday, Middle afternoon January 27, 2026 We were seated as soon as we arrived and asked for Hot Green Tea. The service is welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Place is clean. Chicken Dumplings pan fried and delicious Stir-fry Ramen with chicken. Big portion with plenty of noodles and veggies. Side of miso broth flavorful and complimented the stir fry and dumplings Beef Mom's were steamed and tasted good alone but, kick it up with the chili crisp and some soy as well as the red sauce it come with. Be careful they may be juicey. Then thuk with pork...the handmade torn noodles were perfectly done as well as the soup and ingredients it come in.

Fantastic! I'm so glad I don't have to travel to Manhattan, Sunset Park, or Flushing for great Asian soups. I always get the thenthuk -- it's a huge portion and feels healthy and filling. The broth is flavorful and not too salty. Add chili oil for extra fun! The location is super easy to get to from any direction and the space is large with a casual but intimate ambiance. The servers always come by to refill water and ensure everything is okay. I'm so glad I stopped in on a whim my first time walking by it.

Came here at 7pm on a weekday and put our name down, waited for about 30-40 mins for a table since there are no reservations. Service was super fast as soon as we were seated, and I really enjoyed the intimate vibe of the wooden booths. One of the servers we had was very kind and spirited given how busy the restaurant was. We got the scallion pancake, pan-fried pork gyoza, curry ramen, and stir-fried ramen. The appetizers were well prepared, perfectly crispy and flavorful, I would have loved a sauce with the pancakes. I really liked the curry ramen, it was like a laksa x ramen crossover and had a teensy kick, nice chewy thick noodles, and a good assortment of veggies. I liked the broth a lot, and the ground beef was an interesting choice for a soup but worked well. The stir-fried ramen was spicier than expected, but was yummy. I think I'd maybe try one of the classic ramens next time. Great spot and very reasonably priced, which is nearly impossible to find here even for a bowl of ramen. I get why it's so popular !

Great addition to the neighborhood! Simple layout and decor but cute little booths and even a little Japanese style table at the front. Food was really good, lots of apps as well as ramen options, vegan and vegetarian and of course plenty of meat options. They don't have a liquor license but it doesn't matter as the food is so good. Great service too

So nice to find vegan friendly places . The broth was absolutely very delicious. The momos I'd give a 3/5 I've had better and the dough was thicker than I like . But the ramen alone is a reason to come here

It's quite busy but the turnover rate is quick. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables and counter seating. But I've got to say I am disappointed by my overall experience based on how popular this spot is. You order from a menu you can write on, which allows you to customize your ramen selections (noodle thickness, broth, add-ons, etc). I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with spicy added. While the broth is pretty good, I think the overall ramen is a bit lacking compared to other ramen spots. I did not realize the ramen did not come with any ingredients besides the chashu meat and some scallions sprinkled on top. So this spot really requires you to customize and add on toppings. Usually other ramen spots already have selection of toppings in each type of bowl. So overall, my ramen was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. I do appreciate that you can add half or full serving of extra noodles for $1-2 if you want more. Also, like others mentioned, Ramen Danbo received a C health code rating. I didn't see this until halfway through my meal, but I probably would not have ate here if I saw it beforehand. Quite appalling for a restaurant that doesn't even have an extensive menu. Overall, the service is okay... I can't say I had any particular issues BUT I just felt like all the servers gave off the vibe that they just hated their jobs or something. It was just the vibe I got but it could just be me.

First: got combo B which was the perfect amount for 2 people since it included an appetizer, 2 ramens, 2 desserts and 2 drinks. Left very filled and happy. Would highly recommend their lemonade and Thai tea! The popcorn chicken is more batter than chicken, so it's good if you like more of a crunch. The tonkotsu and miso ramens were good, but not particularly notable. Kyuramen is a chain after all, so the food quality gives that same vibe as comforting when you're just craving some. Second: Got the yakitori platter, beef ramen (seasonal) and curry ramen and I'd personally pass on all of them. Their meats are over cooked which makes them tough. Both times the service was fine, I appreciate the call button so both don't have to wait for awkward timing issues. I do like the aesthetic of the place, especially with the privacy of the room shades/dividers. p.s. don't forget their slurp and win program! When you drink all the broth, there's a word on the bottom (or not) where you can get a free popcorn chicken/drink/etc for your next visit. I thought the chances would be pretty slim, but I got a drink voucher my second time!

Chicken dumpling (3/5) Red version: It was unique to find kernels of corn in the dumpling! I enjoyed the vinegar/soy sauce and chili oil. Next time, I would have liked to try the brown. Overall, there wasn't anything special about the steamed dumplings. Iron Men (3/5): I was disappointed since reviewers said that the broth would be very rich but it did not have much flavor to me even after using their house chili sauce (+$2). I definitely tasted the Iberian pork undertones but overall, I thought it was watery and didn't have much flavor without the chili. The poached egg was perfect. The rosemary oil was very subtle (cool presentation as it was provided in a dropper!) The noodles were perfect--chewy and bouncy. I thought the 2 slices of pork were thin but tender, also more lean and not fatty (not as ideal so did not melt in your mouth). Expensive for a bowl with little meat ($23). I did not use the miso paste as I did not love the aftertaste, which admittedly could be why the broth lacked flavor to me! Nagoya Miso Katsu-Don (N/A): I tried a little of the dish. I thought the pork was very crunchy and had a great taste. Boyfriend said the dish was nothing special.
