Coconut cream + kona coffee in a waffle cone and a cup of macadamia nut

We came in on a Monday afternoon with the sole purpose of finding and ordering ice cream. There are a few patrons, but it was relatively slow. They had a little bit of outdoor seating and the inside had a bunch of different locally made products you could buy in addition to food and/or coffee. This ice cream texture almost reminds me of a mix between ice cream and gelato. My husband and I both absolutely loved the flavors that we had. They didn't have too much of a selection, but if you're in the area and are craving ice cream, this is definitely the place to go!

We stopped here for some ice cream and a coffee. I had a mud in a cone and it was so good. I also ordered a cold brew (they forgot the cream but wasn't an issue for me). The coffee was still amazing and hit the spot the cream didn't. If I lived here, this place would be a regular stop for me.

Fun stop on our way through Hawi - staff were friendly, doors were open so sitting inside was still nice, the smoothie bowl was delicious. Would love to come back and try the Lox sammy.

Located on the Main Street in Kapa`au you'll find street parking as well as a gravel parking lot two doors down. They serve tasty pastries, ice cream and a variety of coffee drinks. You'll also be able to purchase merch and coffee beans to go. Large front lanai with 6 tables to grab a bite, service was efficient when ordering lunch. The barista is friendly and talkative which helps to keep the tourists engaged.

Was staying at Kohala Village Inn nearby, decided to go on a whim. Some of the best coffee and açaí bowls I've ever had. I'm from SoCal and the the açaí bowls back home just don't hit quite the same.

Came across this scrumptious gem as we drove north for the day. It caught our eye when we heard a musician sitting outside. The casual vibe seemed perfect to rest and catch a bite at. Our daughter wanted a smoothie and I tried the tuna melt. Both were delicious and I would definitely go again. Cashier gave good recommendations and service.

Very fresh food, quality ingredients, delicious too! The ice cream was yummy too, but we never got a picture of it! Prices are $$ Located on the main road through Hawi, it's worth driving the road to Hawi for the beautiful views and the gourmet food. It's a charming town to explore too.

This is a wonderful place to get good coffee, breakfast food, and meet locals, as they really do gather here very frequently. We went the first time on a Sunday, as I was in need of some good coffee that they could grind for me as we were housesitting for people who had a sub-par grinder. They were so very helpful and guided me to their Puna Punch bean, which was the light roast I wanted. They then grinded it for me for the moka pot. I also got a Salted Caramel Cortado, and a Lox Bagel. Both were delicious...especially all the parts of the bagel...capers, onions, tomatoes, cream cheese, and good lox. Hubby got one too with his cappuccino. We came back the following Saturday fairly early so we could park in Hawi and sit at the coffee mill to watch the Ironman bicycle leg, as Hawi was the turnaround point. It was amazing to be there with all the locals and all the women flying through (it's grown so big, this is the first year they split the field & it was women only in the Kona event). All the local youth had tables out for the feed zone and got the chance to hand water bottles etc. to the elite athletes. Excellent experience and all right there at the Coffee Mill. By the way, a week later I ran out of coffee, but we were in Waimea so went to their sister (mother?)-store Waimea Coffee to get the Puna Punch beans and they were just as friendly. Go for the coffee, stay for the local vibe.

Wonderful coffee and wonderful people. We came here because it was pretty close by to where we were staying and decided to grab a coffee and a breakfast burrito. Everything was delicious and so fresh. The latte had beautiful latte art, and the burrito was filling and so cheesey! I wish I lived closer because I would be here every weekend.

Delicious coffee, yummy fresh sandwiches and sweet potatoe sides and sometimes live music. Will be back! Looks popular for a post cycling stop too - especially for ice cream!

Ice cream is UNREAL. It's so good. I think vanilla was my favorite but coffee flavor was delicious too.

Best ice cream on the island. When we go back to the mainland, my dreams are filled with visions of the coconut cream ice cream for weeks.

That said, the sandwiches were excellent. The BLT was the best I've had - the bacon was crispy and overall just delicious. The tri-tip sandwich was also great. Perfect lunch stop for those on their way to Waipio Valley or heading out to Waimea or Hilo side. My partner and I shared the Tri-tip sandwich and a quiche. The quiche had a golden flaky crust, peppery bacon, and fluffy eggs. So good we forgot to take a picture. lol. The sandwich was packed with flavorful beef, roasted peppers, arugula, and a spicy horseradish sauce all on poi bread. Pricey at $18, but big enough for two to share. The combination of toppings on the homemade crunchy poi bread makes it worth it! Service was pretty quick, friendly, and helpful. There's so many cool local products to look at while you wait, so that's a nice way to pass the time. There's also outdoor seating and a bookshelf to browse. We definitely want to try more of their delicious sandwiches. Honokaa Country Market will be our go-to sandwich spot on the island!
