Came here tonight around 8:30 for some late night shopping because everywhere online said they close at 11pm. At around 8:50 they started turning off some lights, so I asked an employee what time do they close and he said 11pm. So I continued shopping, but they kept turning off EVEN MORE LIGHTS. How am I supposed to shop if more than half of the lights in the store are off? I can't even see anything. Stopped shopping and left. How can I shop when it's so dark in there? read more

Avoid this place at all cost! I have never in my life felt so disrespected! I purchased a kids pj that showed one size on the hanger but was really a smaller size. The khols I original purchased the pjs from did not carry a bigger size. I called the next closest store which unfortunately was this Tustin location. I called ahead to make sure I wouldn't waste time, gas, or energy since I was with my very pregnant friend who had the same issue. Over the phone, an associate recommended to return the pjs in store and order the item from their kiosk which offers free shipping to my home. I asked if they would honor the discounted price I purchased the pjs under. She assures me they would since it was an even exchange. When I actually arrived to the store, I asked two different associates for help and they were both clueless about the return policy. My pregnant friend and I then stood in line for the customer service help desk. Julia was the lady at the desk and let me tell you, the way she handled the situation was SHOCKING! She too didn't know how to honor the discounted price and make the exchange. She didn't try to help. She just said it can't be done. Since we were told other wise on the phone, we asked to speak to the manager. If none of the associates knew what's going on,I figured the the manager should. She seemed bother by our request and said "step aside and I will call him". We felt dismissed and brushed off with her attitude. At this point we needed to have the situation figured out so we could head home. We said its ok we will wait for him here. She replied "IM NOT GOING TO CALL HIM UNTIL YOU STEP ASIDE" and she calls the next guest while my item is still on the counter! We said you shouldn't talk to customers like that. She said DONT BLOCK MY WAY! She was the most RUDE and ARROGANT associate I have ever had to interact with from ANY store chain! We were in shock and SO EMBARRASSED! She did this in front of other people and brushed us aside to make us feel insignificant. We asked the associate (Charile) who was on the register next to her to please call the manager. He said NOT UNTIL YOU DO WHAT SHE SAYS! And he looked at her with a smirk! They felt so proud of the way they were handling our request. Since the two "customer service" associates weren't helping, we stood in front of the registers and called the store. Eventually someone from the kids department picked up and we said "I am standing at the customer help desk and I'm not being taken care of, can you please have your manager come down?" We were placed on hold. I'm assuming they radioed down to ask what was going on. Charlie said THEY ARE NOT CUSTOMERS THEY ARE NOT EVEN IN LINE! The manager finally came down and seemed baffled at the situation. He did help is set up our exchange. He didn't seem too sure of his own stores policies but he helped us make our online order which we have to take back and then process the exchange. He assured us that they would honor the discounted price and refund the difference. I'm dreading going back and hope they don't go back on their word. I'm not a frequent khols shopper, but if this is the "service" they provide, I don't plan on ever going back after this exchange is done! even if they had an outrageous sale, they are not worth anyone's business since they obviously don't care about their customers. read more

Bought a pair of jeans for $36. They didn't fit so I came back a few days later to return them, with the tag showing the price and the store's name on it. They said because I didn't have my receipt with me they could only give me $12! Even though they were brand new with the tags and I had just paid $36. I asked why $12... were they on sale for $12 now? Nope! They are still currently priced at $36. So why cant I have my $36 back...? Keep in mind I was NOT asking for cash back... just store credit to buy a different pair of jeans. They said its their policy to honor any sale in the last 13 weeks they may have had when they do a return... even if you just bought the item a few days ago.. they are going to apply a sale price from 13 weeks ago. Horrible policy. Steals customers money. I asked to speak to the manager who was some little girl with pink and purple hair. All she knew how to do was say, sorry that's our policy over and over. Horrible employees! So then I went on the website and tried to find an email to corporate or customer service and surprise, they don't give you one. I reached out via their live chat and asked them to please give me an email to corporate or a customer service manager. Nope, they wont do that. I asked them to please just have a customer service manager email me and gave them my email address. Nope, they wont do that either. I had to do my own research to find an email address for their customer service. Finally reached a customer service rep and they would not help me. I asked to please speak to corporate. I was contact by Annette Walker the "Executive Correspondence Lead" who said they firmly stand by their policy to give you only $12 back on a brand new pair of jeans you just bought for $36 with the tags, and that she would not make an exception and would also not escalate my problem any further to someone who could actually help me. Just a horrible company all around. I will not be shopping here EVER again. No store I have EVER shopped at has tried to steal money from customers like this. Brand new clothes returned with the tags but they wont honor the current price paid. Shop somewhere else. This company has no ethics or morals does not hire decent employees. I USED to like this store, been shopping here for 20 years, (from now on I'll drive to Huntington Beach for a clean store with helpful employees.) The jean dept was in disarray NOTHING WAS IN THE CORRECT PLACE, sizes COMPLETELY mixed up. I found an employee and asked for assistance, she did not take iniative to help even WHEN ASKED! Simply said look under sign with your size, then stood there staring at me. REALLY!? Dressing rooms have horrific overpowering perfume pumped into them along with drifts of hair and dirt all over floors. No crowds, an hour after opening, on a weekday... you would expect a clean store with items in proper place.I feel like I need a bath. read more

I stopped by Kohls today to pick up a few things for the bathroom and was eager to rummage thru the sale racks for a great deal. What a disappointment! The clothing racks were the most disorganized I have ever seen, it was a chore to even look thru the racks as everything was so tightly packed together. Sizes from small to 3XL were all lumped together although the racks had spacers for different sizing. I have been to many Kohls locations and have never seen anything like this! How can the store manager tolerate this kind of mess??? I had a Kohls cash coupon but was so frustrated and dizzy trying to find sizes that I left without a purchase... although I found many things that I liked. : (. As far as all Kohl's go, this one is subpar. On more than one occasion I have called ahead for a certain product that I need and they confirm it is there. When I arrive, it never is. They apologize and say their system shows otherwise but never actually checked or "held" the item like they said they did. After my fourth trip here I have learned my lesson and will just assume they do not have what I want and won't waste my time. read more

This review isn't against the Tustin store; it's against Kohls.com. But I couldn't find that on here. I placed an order last night. Their system must have been having problems because when I confirmed my order before placing, it didn't show the shipping address. I knew I picked the correct address so I placed the order. 15 minutes when the confirmation email finally came, it showed a shipping address in AZ; I'm in CA!! I immediately tried calling Customer Service (closed) then tried to cancel the order online. The Cancel button was grayed out. I called Customer Service this morning, and they told me there was nothing they could do. My order hadn't even shipped yet; they should have been able to go around their standard "process" and fix it for me. I think since their system screwed up, they should take care of it. But they're putting it all on me. I'm done with Kohls! I've been a customer for a long time, but this is very bad customer service. read more

I usually enjoy shopping at Kohls. Today not so much. I have been at the return counter now for about an hour. I have the brand new, tags attached, unwashed, received today item. I have the receipt. And they can not return it. I give the one star for Christina. She is trying. But the manager Josh does not want to be bothered. He just shrugged us off like not his problem. So I love Kohl's. I have even had pretty good experiences at this one. For that, they get 2-stars instead of the 1 they deserve for this latest catastrophe. I went in because the kid grows too fast and needed some new clothes. I figured I could get some things for myself too while I was there. They were having one of their Extra Savings Sales. So, most stores would have Extra staff on during a sale. Not Kohl's. They had 2, yes for the whole store, people working the registers. I waited 15 minutes outside the dressing room for someone to help me, not because they were all full, but the because the person working in the dressing rooms was apparently elsewhere. The dressing rooms, once I decided to take matters into my own hands and just grab a room myself, were littered with tried on clothes and hangers. While I was changing, I hear the lady come in and show other people into dressing rooms. Telling them to remember to bring their clothes out when they are done. When I am done and walk out, I get a dirty look, and she tells me to bring out all my tried on clothes. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I coldy explain that the clothes in the dressing room are NOT mine, and hand her the few garments I had in my hand that didnt fit. I should have left right then, as it didnt get better. I wait in the check out line for the slow check out lady to get to me. When its my turn, she goes so slow ringing me up. Then nearly knocks a little boy down as she runs out and searches the other registers for more bags. She then takes my brand new purchases and wads them up and shoves them in a bag. In the end I was so pissed I almost dropped the bag and asked for a refund. But it wasnt the clothes fault the lady had issues. So I left. In the future, I will be driving the farther distance to a different Kohls. read more

My fiance and I had a registry set up at Kohl's. We arrived excited with the checklist & registry ID in hand. The first person we spoke to at customer service looked at us as if I was speaking a foreign language. He slowly took the paper from me & called for assistance. Minutes later a supervisor/manager arrived, she didn't even acknowledge us. She just paged someone else saying "Do you know how to work the registry thing?". A few minutes after that another woman comes and the first lady hands her the paper asking if she knew how to work the registry. The 2nd lady (who btw didn't acknowledge us as well) just shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know. By that time my fiance and I had seen enough, we decided to leave. Horrible customer service at this location I will not be going back there the rest of this Christmas season. I got in line with 2 people in front of me, 15 minutes later I had not moved. The only Checker was in the back room looking for something for someone and no one cared about the line that now had about 15 people angrily waiting. I got out of line to go to the service desk to let them know what was going on and they really didn't care, she was extremely rude. Basically told me they were busy and I need to be patient. There is a difference between being in a long line and patiently waiting your turn because all of the checkers are busy, which is what happened to me on Black Friday, and the fact that the line is not moving at all because no one is checking out customers. Her only option was to leave her my stuff and come back later or leave that long line and go into the other line in front hoping by some miracle that was not also 20 people long. I needed to return an Amazon order, and it was my first time doing it at Kohl's. It was smooth, but they gave me a coupon for 25% off a purchase at Kohl's. I thought it was wonderful, so I went to buy New Balance trail running shoes and an Addidas hat. When I got to the check-out stand, the lady said that I cannot use my coupon because they are name-brand items. Are you kidding me? More than half of the stuff in the store is name-brand. It is laughable. I said nevermind and left without purchasing any items. This is why Kohl's will go out of business. They cannot compete with the online markets like Amazon, especially when they limit their "coupons" to Kohl items. I realized I never shopped at Kohl's before, and although I was about to because of the Coupon, I never will be returning unless it is to drop off an Amazon return. Kohl's could have garnered my business, but because of their stupid store coupon policy, they received none. Kohl's demise is on the horizon. read more

Definately one of the most organized Kohls I have been to. The graphic tees were nicely folded and organized by style which made it easy to find what you are looking for. The clearance shirts were seperated and hanging on clearance racks. The shirts were properly labeled which made shopping easy. I didn't wait long in line at all (in fact they opened up new registers when several people were in line) and the cashiers were very friendly. read more

Policy sucks ! You purchase an item for $30 , you lose your receipt and return it for legit reason even if price tag is still attached , and they will only refund you $6.00. I have to say I was completely surprised how unorganized and messy this store was especially on a slow Sunday. There are clothes and hangers all over the floor and the clothes on the racks are a disaster. Don't even try to clearance racks, they're literally a pile of clothes on top of racks. Most do not have clearance stickers on them so the cashier will not honor the clearance price. My relaxing shopping trip quickly turned into a frustrating visit coming here. I left without purchase anything after trying to go through their racks for 30 mins. read more

The last time I visited Kohl's was on a recommendation to get some new clothes. I found some great products and they were also affordable. I had to get some new shirts for work and I stopped by this location in Tustin. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. I was able to find the right shirts and I also used a 20% coupon on top of the sale price, which got me a great deal. Kohl's has a consumer-friendly layout making things easy to find and the presentation and cleanliness of the store are also very good. I would recommend this retailer and I know I will be coming back as needed. read more

Worst Kohl's ever! I placed an online order to pick up at the store. The website states it take about 2 hours to fulfill the order. I would then receive an email when my order is ready for pick up. After 3 plus hours of waiting I decided to just go to the store to see if my order was ready. The girl at the online pick up department tells me that my order is not ready. I needed the item for that same day because it was a gift. So I just decided to browse around the store in hopes I would get an email stating it was ready. I ended up finding the item I ordered on my own. I went back to the online pick up and I asked if I could just cancel the order I placed online and just pay for the item at the counter since I found it myself. She tells me I would have to do it on my own but I could still had time to cancel. So I pay for my stuff and leave. I go to my email to cancel the order and of course you can't!!!! A day later and im trying to manage my order and check the status so that I can either cancel or pick up and return and get my money back but now it's saying order number can't be found. Im furious!!!!! This is ridiculous. But of course my account is charged. Never again!!!!! read more

Came to this location to return an amazon package. It was our first time returning in store. The associate named ANDREA C , asked us for a QR code which we did not know what that was. As we searched for it the associate started tapping her fingers as if we were wasting her time, (your getting paid to be here) my mom said forget it an we will do it thru the mail since it's such a problem for the associate to help us out. We ended up figuring it out ourselves an came back in. She then handed the return receipt to my mom an didnt say anything as to what it is that she was handing her or that she was even done with the return process . Usually people say "ok your all set" so we aren't standing their confused as to if you're done or not . We mentioned twice that we've never returned a package before and even showed her our phone if she could show us where. This associate had an attitude problem from the very start, never a hello. This Kohl's store seems to be mismanaged, disorganized, and understaffed. I have shopped there multiple times, and have found the staff to be undereducated and the management to be unavailable for issues. The lines are always long for checkout, as an example; one mid-week day I came in at 10:30 AM and found that they had only "one" cashier open for the entire store (both stories) with a long cashier line, and the other employees that were roaming around the store had no idea why that was the case when asked. I usually love Kohl's. I have shopped the one in Aliso Viejo and RSM for years, but yesterday I had the most frustrating experience at the Kohl's Department Store in Irvine off of Jeffrey Rd. My busy day was time limited but I needed to stop in and pick up a pair of capri pants. I stopped by a rack and found section with my size marked by a sign. However, when I started thumbing through it became clear that the sizes were all mixed up. Not only did the marked size sections have a plethora of mixed sizes, the hangers plastic size indicator didn't match the size of the clothing hanging on them . . . UGH! I asked a sales person walking by to help me, when another, very young sales person walked up and interpreted our conversation asking what the matter was. When I explained that it was literally impossible to find anything in my size because of the way the sizes were mixed, she just kept agreeing with me??? She explained that I could just look at the tag on the individual clothing to find the correct size (duh . . .) Yes, I could do this if I had all day. Its like finding a needle in a hay stack! Without expression, she just kept agreeing with me again??? Frustrated, I left the store and won't be back to this location. read more

This store has a great towel selection; however, I'm not a big fan of the men's clothes department. The clothes seem very cheap, not very fitted, and cheaply made. The employees at the store were very nice and helpful. The lines were long but they moved very fast. Customer service was very easy to deal with. read more

This place, like any kohls, is typically in a disarray midweek. Due to the unruly shoppers who constantly ruffle up the clothes and dont set it back properly. I can see why the store employees are unable to keep up with the mess. Aside from that, i had purchased a couple of suitcases, it began tearing and i decided to return it. KOHLS has an incredible return program hence why i shop here. However the last 2 weeks i've gone on 4 several occassions and the return line has been a minimum of 50 people long. Oh geez what a project to return something, the amount of time i would have wasted in line i could have bought several suitcases over plus some. I'm still a fan of kohls, however these ridiculously long lines are just a nuisance. read more

Avoid at all cost, I went to buy maternity underwear I couldn't find anyone to help me I finally found some on clearance for $2.70 and I thought wow this is a good buy, dropped everything else went to the cashier and scanned and said 12.99 I told him about the price on the TAG and he said somebody must have put the wrong sticker, usually you would think they would honor their mistake but no, he just stood there I just said then I guess won't take it, he just shook his arms like oh well and I just left mad, really? This is a good store -- spacious, good prices, clean. The staff is pretty friendly. It's a big improvement over the Mervyn's that used to be located there. (The location is great for me, too!) I've gotten good buys there in the last two months. Highly recommended! read more

Wish I had read the prior reviews before going into this Kohls in Tustin! My item was defective, and they refused to process my return with either an even exchange or a merchandise credit as was clearly printed on the gift receipt I had been given. What happened to their policy of "No hassle returns." Obviously, its not at this Tustin Kohls location...seems they are going to do things there way and not the advertised and posted way. They told me they were going to send me a corporate refund! Yea right, like I am going to wait around for that. Kohls, are you not legally obliged to simply do what is promised and printed right on the receipt! When I asked for the manager, they sent out some thug with no name badge who was dressed like a slob. He told me the same thing, just in a ruder and more hostile manner. This guy was a jerk, and conveyed that he thought he was so tough... what kind of store is this Tustin Kohls now? Since Tustin Kohls was so pigheaded and gave such a hassle, I had to lug this piece of defective garbage to another Kohls. The other Kohl's was nothing like the Tustin Kohls, this other location was friendly, polite and processed the return with no hassle. Bad, bad, bad Tustin Kohls! UPDATE: Kohl's Corporate responded to my complaint and was very nice. Here is an excerpt from their response: "I wish to extend our apology for your recent experience. At Kohl's we strive to have our customers 'Expect Great Things' and we want to know when we have not lived up to that expectation. Please know that your comments have been heard at our corporate office and that we are dedicated to improving our services and your experience. I hope that you will allow us another opportunity to provide you with the excellence in service that you truly deserve." Well I usually don't shop at Khols but I needed some Spanks for some dresses I am planing on wear to a wedding and my vacation to Florida. The cashier Vanessa noticed that one of the tags was missed on one of the spanks. She asked if I wanted her to do a price check, and I said yes. When she was describing the spanks she said, "they are like underwear but like capris, I don't know what they would be used for" I found it a little rude since she was like a size 0 and I felt she was kinda being a little insensitive. Which make me not want to return but to top it off when I let her know that I was leaving one of the 4 spanks I was getting she said, "this is so annoying". Yeah never coming back to this Khols any time soon. I didn't know doing your job was annoying and even if it is you might not want to say it out loud to a customer. read more
