I love this place!! I's my favorite Poké place around town. The Poké is always very fresh and has a good balance of fish for the price. The boba drinks are also very good and the staff is always super friendly and kind. I 1000% recommend this place!

I love their sushi burritos, but I just won't be back for a while and can't really recommend this business. I feel sorry for the nice people working there but I think it's very poorly managed. Problems 1. Process issues. Last time I went was about 2 years ago, we used to order frequently, but we decided to go into the store, for 2 simple sushi burritos, we waited over an hour. The store wasn't too busy, there were delivery folks in and out, they continuously filled the delivery orders and ignored me sitting there. I asked about it numerous times but they were just following the flawed process. I was furious but there was not much they could do. 2. We finally decided to give them another try, and ordered it from their website as a to go order. I took pictures and really wanted to give them a good review. Unfortunately, I went to the store and found the online order prices (from their website) were higher than in store prices! I mentioned this to the nice lady at the counter, she could not do anything about it. I tried contacting the manager but s/he couldn't be reached. 3. I was still hopeful that at least the food would be good. The 3 orders were clearly marked and cleverly showed the differences, I was impressed. But it turned out they were incorrectly placed. (The vegetarian order and non-vegetarian order were switched) In addition, we had one order clearly noted sauces on the side, well, no sauces were used and nothing was on the side, so it was a very bland sushi burrito. Sadly, we were once again disappointed.

This is not a full portion! And look how little boba they give!

Very slow service (place was not even that busy). Boba was not fresh and portion was so small! but mainly they did not fill the cup!

yummy taiyaki!!!!

I drove by this place about a month ago. Had to find a place to chill with my 5 yo daughter before a doctor's appointment. Ordered a sushi burrito, spam roll, red bean taiyaki, an assam milk tea with no boba and watermelon slushy. There was no one before or after me. The burrito was great. I think I ordered too many items that made the burrrito soggy, but flavor was spot on. My daughter enjoyed her spam roll and drink (which was on the sweet side and not made from real watermelon which was disclosed up front). I really enjoyed the fresh taiyaki, the red bean was not too sweet. Came by a second time just to get 5 taiyaki to go and a hit citrus ginger honey drink. Again, no other customers but it was disclosed I would have to wait 15 min prior to placing the order. No problem appreciate the honesty. At least I would get them fresh made!!! but if I came during a busy time, I think it would be pretty difficult to fill the orders promptly (so minus 1 star). Citrus ginger drink came out well. Just right for what I was feeling. Also, for some of the old reviews about it getting soggy after deliver- nothing a good reheat in the toaster/mini oven couldn't fix. It was so good and my main reason for coming back again!

Delicious green teas different and available in a variety of fruit flavors too!

Tasty drinks at reasonable cost! Didn't get to try the food but it is worth going back to try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is so pretty and inviting as well my friend's little one enjoyed the service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Milk Tea, Thai Tea & Jasmine Green Milk Tea â‹… Torrance, California
Justin L.

There's currently 12 (give or take) boba shops in the city of Torrance, and I made it my mission to visit them all... for research purposes obviously! After doing extensive studies and tests, the conclusion that I came up with is that Kokoroll is ... eh. They're situated in a strip mall along Hawthorne Boulevard. Lots of parking spaces and it's usually never busy. We found a spot in front of the cafe. The inside had a decent amount of seats and tables, with a couple more outside. To build your own boba, choose a tea base (jasmine, assam, oolong, etc.), pick up to two flavors, select a topping (75 cents each), and adjust the Almond milk was the only dairy alternative I saw. There are also smoothies and slushies that you can customize as well. Rounding out the rest of the menu are specialty drinks, taiyaki, hand rolls, poke bowls, and sushi burritos. The Thai Tea and Jasmine Milk Tea were fine. But the Milk Tea had an odd sour aftertaste. Almost acidic. I didn't like the mushy boba either, it had no structural integrity whatsoever. Maybe I'll get the food instead if I ever return. Opinions expressed are solely my own, but this is how I rank the Torrance boba shops from highest to lowest: Presotea Teaspoon 7 Leaves Amai Tea Station Tastea Yi Fang Sharetea BobaHi *** Kokoroll *** It's Boba Time Drinks and Tea

Tried the Assam black milk tea with boba, 1 Nutella Taiyaki and 1 custard Taiyaki. Definitely was not too sweet. Will definitely be back.

Torrance Food Crawl #442…read more Ali'i Hawaiian Grill offers a minimalist approach with a simple menu that has a limited selection. For the Poke bowls, select your bowl size, pick two from the four or so fish choices, a base (rice or salad), and for most bowls a side or two. After several visits, my experience has been fine each time. Good quality fish and fresh sides. There are also some plate options where you can select Huli Chicken or Kalua Pork. I've tried both the chicken and pork (though not on the plate option), and both were excellent. This location used to be strictly take-out, but now there are two tables inside if you'd like to sit inside. I feel compelled to mention that when I recently visited this location, they had a health grade of B from LA County displayed in the window. Yelp shows that they had 14 health code violations on September 18. Usually, I don't show too much concern for these health scores, but when a restaurant's primary product is raw fish, a lower score gets my attention.

I was a fan of their El Segundo location but I believe it is gone. This place had about 5 or 6 different fresh poke styles available during our visit. We tried the Hawaiian, the Creamy Garlic Crunch, and the Sweet and Spicy. We also ordered the Chips and Smoked Ahi Dip, and the Huli Chicken Bowl. I think I loved everything. The Creamy Garlic Crunch poke was especially amazing. It had a slight spicy kick to it and it was rich and delicious. The chips that came with the dip were obviously freshly-made wontons and I could have eaten a hundred of them. The dip was good but not as flavorful as I had hoped or had in the past. For the chicken bowl, the rice and cucumbers that came with the chicken were excellent. You get a ton of mac salad and it is excellent. The chicken was solid, too. Unless they are hiding in plain sight, the places that just sell fresh poke, without the bowl, are few and far between in Southern California. I love poke bowls, too, but sometimes the poke by itself (with the different sauces and seasoning) is just incredible. This spot serves delicious fresh poke and I will always be a fan.

Great staff! My friend and I stopped into this great shop in Lomita and had a fabulous meal. I love the way they do their poke - you get to pick TWO flavors of meat! How fun! It was all fresh, good selection of ingredients and the taste in the Crunchy Tuna Garlic was superb! We also loved the Spicy Salmon Mayo. I'm a huge tocino fan so when I saw it on their menu I had to get it! I was surprised it came with two fried eggs and was a nice, big portion. We also had to try their Crispy Masubi and this was fantastic. I've had many deep fried masubi versions and this was much nicer than those. This was the best breaded type of masubi I've had. Absolutely loved it and would get it again in a second. Overall, fabulous meal at Poke & More that I would go back for.

I don't trust places that have large menus because it screams "jack-of-all trades, master of none." How do you serve fresh poke while being ready to fire up a Hawaiian bbq mix plate? Parking can be challenging depending on when you go as they share a plaza. I sort of stopped going here a few months ago after they discontinued their Saturday special of buy one pound of poke, get one pound free. That deal definitely made it more worthwhile. Without that promo, the other local poke places outshine this place.

The polite and personable gentleman behind the counter helped me narrow down my choices and offered samples. The salmon and tuna poke were delicious. One was shoyu, and the other was limu; both had umami flavors. I was so glad that the shoyu didn't have a hint of sweetness and that the limu wasn't too salty. The savory seasoning/marinade and cool temp made the poke a very satisfying and refreshing meal. I also asked for rice and mac salad for my to-go plate, and those were solid complements to the poke. It's a chill, fast-casual place with Hawaiian tropical decor and a few dine-in tables. The plaza it's in is kinda small and janky, but at least parking is free. Went again yesterday with the kiddos after their first (half) day of school…read more The girl and I ordered small poke bowls ($15.99) and the boy ordered the sushi burrito after complaining (yeah, I know) about how he didn't want a small bowl. Let me just tell you that the small is plenty. It comes with two scoops of fish; I typically get double salmon because the salmon is so good. And you get a bunch of other stuff in there. After choosing a base (white or brown rice or a salad..I usually go with brown rice), I next usually choose seaweed salad and edamame and go with all of the toppings and a couple sauces at the next two topping stations (crunchies, green onion, thinly sliced cucumber, fresh jalapeno, etc.). I typically let them suggest the sauces; yesterday I got ponzu sauce as well as a shoyu sauce that was suggested. Then the items are delicately mixed by (gloved) hand and the bowls are handed over to you with a side of wasabi, ginger and packets of soy sauce.
