This is my solid go to place. The ambiance is clean and inviting. The surroundings comfortable and the service is always very good. The Persian food is so good. I especially enjoy the saffron rice and grilled vegetables. So flavorful and healthy. Many grilled meats to choose from. Always a great meal served here. read more

Really strange way of doing business. They refused to let me make an order.. which was over $100. Simply because I couldn't pay over the phone ... I had cash on me. So I obviously couldn't pay over the phone. Took my cash elsewhere ;) read more

This restaurant is my personal "best of". The quality, the flavors, home made, and family recipes are all divine!! Here's my list of favorites. Bademjam Borani is succulent. I order extra Dolmeh just so I can have some the next day. The green salad is packed with flavor. I always order the beef Koobideh plate with its fragrant saffron rice and roasted tomato. If you want a flavor explosion order the Fesanjan. This is a chicken stew and wow, it's awesome. If I had one complaint it's that service can be slow sometimes. Sometimes it's spot on. It's a family business and they are all so considerate. Cannot wait to return. read more

It's an adorable little restaurant and the food and service were both excellent. We were a party of 7, including a vegetarian, and everyone had something different, all of it seasoned and cooked to perfection. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, the vegetables were perfect, the meat tender, and the house made Persian ice cream was refreshing and delightful, and the lavash, hummus, and garlic and shallot dip were perfect. We'll definitely be going back regularly. I wish I'd remembered to take pictures of the food. read more

First time here. The servings are huge. I ordered the chicken koobideh over rice. It was ok, I am not a fan of the texture but the flavor was good. Next time I would try the chicken thigh kabob. The hummis, tzatziki and stewed. Eggplant dish was yummy. Prices for a meal are high, expect to spend about $35 per person. We got our food to go so cannot comment on service in this review. read more

Where do I start. I ordered over the phone 4 dishes and when my husband got home from picking up the food 2 dishes were not there. I called and the lady stated what is your address and we will drop them off. 45 min. later no food I called again and repeated my address agin. She then called me back after I phoned her that the food was not delivered. She again asked for my address. The food arrived it is was cold the bread basket was not delivered instead more pita bread. Someone there needs to know how to speak english more fluently. Will not be back. read more

The presentation was nice and the place had a good vibe. But unfortunately, the prices were much higher than what's listed on their website -- around 57% more, which felt misleading. That kind of pricing difference is disappointing and feels a bit deceptive. Also, the meat didn't taste fresh, and that affected the overall quality of the meal. I really hope they take feedback like this seriously, because we'd love to support them if these issues are addressed. read more

Everything about this place is amazing! From the atmosphere to the food, I can't wait to come back. This place is hit or miss nowadays... Unfortunately, this time it was a big miss! The khoresht-e-Gheime Bodemjon had absolutely NO eggplant, despite the dish's name. How is that possible? Also, the Khoresht-e-Fesenjon tasted off. There was something missing... I think the kitchen staff was either tired or overworked or both. This was an epic fail this time. Not to mention, the Mohst Khiar was lacking enough flavor as well. The overall taste was not authentic. To top it all off, the side salad was thrown together like someone was in a major rush to get out of there and go home. This place used to be the go to for Persian food in North County. Now, it has sadly gone way downhill due to staffing in the kitchen and lack of oversight from the Owners. Hopefully, they can get their act together, because we used to really enjoy their food in years past. read more

Great service by Sarah, and the food was delicious. The ambiance was also warm and welcoming. We shared two appetizers: masto moosir and kashke bademjaan, and both were delicious. They were served with pita, which isn't my favorite, but the two dishes were so delicious that it didn't matter. We then shared a beef soltani and it hit the spot! Beautiful ambiance inside, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service was excellent! Very attentive and super friendly staff, felt very welcoming! The food was incredible, one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had, so flavorful and cooked perfectly! The eggplant appetizer is my new favorite, I wish I'd found this place sooner! Pretty good, appetizers were tasty, ambiance looks nice inside and the service was attentive. Prices were alright and factor in lunch special discount. The koobideh had juicy meat but was smallish in comparison to the plate which was mostly rice (well and a grilled tomato). Ratio and presentation matters! read more

Very nice service and pretty ambiance. It doesn't looks modern but looks like a traditional Persian restaurant. Love the ceiling. There was only one table when we arrived but many more tables arrived while we dined. We love love love the appetizers. The fresh herbs were so nice along with our humus, salad, and mint yogurt. I would honestly go back just for that alone. They have tadig but it's not really yummy. It tasted more like days old rice that was crusty on the bottom and then tried to fry it. It was a very chewy texture, not crispy. The chicken with pomegranate and walnuts on top were too sweet for us but that's just our preference. The best tadig we had at a restaurant was served to us as a very thin layer of rice where the top was crispy and seasoned and had a pretty color on top. On to the entrees. BD loved his ground beef with herbs. I asked for beef and lamb. Personally for me I needed to add more salt and a splash of acid (we got lemon) to it. With feta and the fresh mint the meal was delicious. Kiddo got the lamb shish leek which is a rack of lamb and a skewer of veggies. It was DELICIOUS! Would definitely order again. Next time I'd like to try their other dishes like the stew. But I would absolutely come back for their appetizers and the lamb dish. read more

Took my girlfriend there for her first time. She loved it. I've eaten there 6-7 times over the last 5 years or so and it's great every time. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a nice classic Persian feel on the inside and the food is consistently very good. I had the grilled lamb and lamb koobideh combo last time and I can't wait to go back for more. The service was also very good and the prices reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Our office ordered lunch from here. First we called when the opened to ask a few questions and was rudely told to call back in 5 min and got hung up on.The food was inedible. The fish was so old. The kabobs looked like they were boiled. 7 of us ordered lunch and each of us had to throw everything away. I would avoid this place. read more

The Tzatziki, Humus, and chili sauce on the table have been replaced by Hoisin Sauce, Fish Sauce, and Sriracha Sauce. What used to be the best Gyro in the Sacto area is now the worst. The Pita was flaky/crispy and the plentiful Beef/Lamb meat was salty, thin and grilled to the crispiness of bacon. The Chicken Schwarma was dry and didn't have much chicken to it. If you are looking for a Gyro - this is no longer the place to go.

I went to dinner here because they were offering a Groupon $15 for $30. The prices are high but overall I had such an enjoyable experience I thought it was worth the value. Especially since I had the deal. We went on a Friday night about 6:30. The hostess and waitress were pleasant and offered just the right amount of attention and refills. They serve a complimentary appetizer which was different but tasty. Pita bread with feta cheese, mint leaves and green onions. I ordered a lamb dish with veggie kabob served with rice and saffron. It was quite delish! Halfway through our dining experience the music got louder and a belly dancer came out! I was not expecting this and it made the night. She was adorable and such fun to watch. My 16 month old daughter could not take her eyes off her as she danced up and down the aisles all through the dining room making brief stops in front of each table. It was delightful! Check this place out, definitely 5 stars!!! Food Our group had a vegan so we ordered Gormeh sabzi, impossible koobideh with fava bean rice and bademjan borani. We notified our server that we want vegan and to have the yogurt on the side. We also ordered their hummus (confirmed that it's vegan) All we can say is, everything was delicious! We paid extra for the fava bean rice, but it was totally worth it. We've never had anything as good as all of the food we've ordered. Every bite was amazing. Try it. Take 1 bite, and it's just the best thing ever. It's so good, we went back the next day. Service and Ambiance The service was great as well. When we went the first night, there was a birthday party and there was a belly dancer performing. You all know me, I am a Jack and PBR guy..but now and then I like to raise the bar a little - they have an outstanding selection of top shelf spirts, and some really great beer on tap. Service was great, and the owner was nice enough to introduce herself and to spend some time chatting with me. This in my opinion put the final star on the top. Very classy, but not over the top - I like the windows that actually allow light in.. I had a appetizer, Salmon which were served hot and the taste was not overbearing, which you get at times with seafood products. I then opted for the chicken breast sandwich. I've tried many Persian Restaurant's all over California, but this is hands down the best! The staff is always amazing the food is fresh and so DELICIOUS!!!! If you want to try something new and want a nice dining experience, you have to try KOLBEH KABOB. My favorite dish is GHORMEH SABZI Stew as well as THE FILET MIGNON PLATE. Gave 1 star because the decor was gat of a great Persian place. Water smelled like chlorine, I ordered the eggplant appetizer that was ok. Combination kabob plate that had lamb beef and chicken and beef koobedeh. The rice was good. The kabobs were ok but the beef gave my husband food poisoning. I also ordered a side salad and a few pieces of the lettuce was clearly bad and I sent it back. They charged me on the bill for the salad and said they wont always take it off the bill, only sometimes since I had literally taken A BITE! Recently decided to give this place a try based on a recommendation from a friend. The parking is plentiful and pretty simple. Both times I came to this business the employees were polite and helpful plus the place was clean. I won't lie, the menu could be a bit on the pricey side for the amount that you get , but once you taste the food it's well worth it. There are plenty of great items to choose from on the menu.
