My wife and I had an excellent dinner here last night. This place just opened a few days ago, but seemed to run as though they have been open for ever. For starters, the place has a comfortable vibe with quite a few different seating areas e.g. the bar, outside, and some separate areas inside. This area of Denton is hopping with life these days so it's a great venue. The menu is simple, the food is executed extremely well and we found that they are very accommodating if you're looking for something off the menu. We choose a tempura roll and a Dragon Fire roll, both of which were portioned well and tasted fresh and fantastic. For appetizers we had the hummus and the deviled eggs. The eggs had just a bit of yummy spicy on them and the hummus tasted great as well. We look forward to coming back in a few weeks to see how this place evolves. It's crazy that I would start a review with this statement...This burger is awesome! An Asian fusion place serving a burger, c'mon! Nailed it! The Kimcheese burger is a great blend of spicy and comfort. Every bite was a flavor bomb, great taste all the way through. Everyone was very nice and the restaurant has nice ambiance, but the whole reason I came was for the ramen bowl and it was essentially inedible in my opinion. When my bowl was served, the noodles were overcooked to begin with, but not so much that it was horrible. But they were served in VERY little broth, and they were far too hot to eat. By the time they had cooled enough to eat, they had soaked up all the remaining broth, so they were now semi-dry sticky clumps that couldn't be separated from one another. It was hardly a soup. To top off the experience, the broth itself, which was supposed to be pork flavored, had very little flavor at all. So the only discernible taste they had was that of the boiled egg that sat on top of the noodles. Whether my noodles were an isolated incident or not, there was nothing about them that warrants a second try. That being said, this isn't a one-star review because we also had a spicy tuna roll that was decent, nothing special, and because my wife enjoyed her chicken rice bowl. She may end up leaving a better review, but my experience could only be described as terrifically disappointing because I was really excited to eat here. read more

Save your money !!!! I ordered the southwest ramen and it was horrible . No taste it all . It needed salt and seasoning in the broth. It tasted like unseasoned pork , burn corn with water. I had high expectations and I was truly disappointed. Not to mention the chef was walking around the restaurant with a chef knife in this back pocket . New to the Denton/Texoma area and stumbled upon this gem while looking for a new sushi home. Immediately skeptical of the fusion vibe as these places often miss and leave both represented menus a tickle underserved. NOT THIS ONE!!! Holy smokes this place is wildly good! Every single course is a latin/Asian fusion from the drinks to the desserts but absolutely nothing is underdone here. The flavors are amazing, be cautious if wary of spicy dishes as this one brings em hard and heavy. Nigiri is nothing otherworldly but definitely is on par with its sushi competitor neighbors but the rolls are absolutely elite!! I had the dragon egg starter as well as a Komodo tower and was immediately reeled in by both! Main course for me was the fuego rojo roll and as a long time sushi fan this was by far my favorite roll of all time. Washed this down with a Cowboy Bebop (favorite anime) and again was extremely happy with the choice. Ambiance in the joint was clean and cozy not too loud, service was very good too. I enjoyed the chicken rice bowl; great flavors but it was a small portion. Like, not a dinner portion. The decor was adorable and really liked the atmosphere but I was pretty disappointed in the menu. Very small menu so the chicken rice bowl was literally the only thing I was willing to try. For such a small menu 3 items were tatchos (tater tot nachos) which just seems wildly out of place. Potatoes, tater tots ... they're just not Asian. Service was decent but we weren't asked what we'd like to drink and they don't have soda brands. Lots of potential here; this place is brand new so hopefully they'll make some tweaks based on customer feedback. read more

Great place for dinner. Our table tried a lot of apps. The gyoza (one of my go to orders at places) were awesome as were the egg rolls. Both of these things also had an awesome sauce that came with them. Also tried the edamame, the chicken skins, the baos, and the tots. We did a bunch of small plates and I forgot to take a picture. The menu recently changed and is slightly higher than what is on Yelp today, but it is still so reasonable! But the very best part is that the food was delicious. We had Brussel Sprouts (superb), Fun guys (tempura mushrooms), pork gyoza (think pot stickers), loco tots, and pork egg rolls. Our favorites were the Brussel sprouts and the fun guys. We also had a bottle of wine and our total bill was under $60!!!! We will be back because it was awesome plus we were too full to try everything we wanted to eat. And our server Nathan was fabulous.
