Absolutely terrible. Walked in while they were open with other people inside, they didn't take our orders but ran outside to grab a kids fishing pole and scream they were going to call the cops. Understanding you cannot fish in that area. The child was around 6 years old on a pedal bike with training wheels. He did not do any harm to anyone. Came back another day and see a grown man with his baby in his arms cussing out the owner for yelling at children. This is unacceptable. Horrendous service. Never go here. After eating a bunch of crab legs and tomalley (crab fat and green stuff that you find in the shell), you want to get that taste out of your mouth and also there's the need for a pick me up after a heavy meal. Well my friend, you have come to the right place - Kona Koffee Company. There's a very Friendly lady managing the counter but the dude making the lattes, not so much. But his art is definitively on target, his hearts are much better than mine. From here, you can enjoy your latte (caramel for me) as you walk up and down the pier. Cute spot but way overly priced for what you're getting. The quality just isn't there

Do NOT go here at all. Service was absolutely terrible. Tried to get a smoothie for my dad right outside but then the shop owners completely ignored me and made orders for people behind me. When i confronted them about it after maybe 5-10 minutes, the 2 owners just looked at eachother and chuckled. Clearly do not treat people fairly and with respect especially since they yell at children fishing when they arent even near their shop. When I FINALLY got my smoothie it tasted watered down and just bland. Would give this place 0 stars if i had the choice. read more

Don't let the small hole in the pier place fool you. They know how to make good coffee taste good. Run by this sweet couple who visit Hawaii all the time to check out the best beans. Took a walk with my wife this afternoon and stopped by Kona Koffee. Grabbed an iced mocha and a bottled water. They weren't very busy so it was a quick stop. Drink was good and ice cold! The staff was friendly, professional, and fast. Better than larger chains when it comes to quality as well. Such a cute coffee place in redondo! It was convenient bc I was eating seafood at Quality Seafood right down the boardwalk and I knew I wanted coffee so it was perfect timing. If you are not a regular, the owners assume you have no idea how an americano or a cappuccino differ. They tried pull one on us by giving us regular coffees. I dont understand why as pricing was almost the same. I know the Korean couple go to Hawaii on a regular basis but that does not make them authority on Kona coffee. This little coffee shop is the cutest little thing!! The owners are so sweet and very welcoming from beginning to end! You can tell they take pride and put love into what they do. Cute place to grab a coffee and enjoy the view. It's a small shop, so if someone's got a big order, get ready to stand and wait. That was the only downside to the experience--waiting 20 minutes for the person in line ahead of me to decide what she (and her husband and 3 teenagers) wanted to drink, then waiting for the one worker behind the counter to make it. I felt bad for the guy. I had a large order myself, but it was ready within 5 minutes of me ordering it; drinks were hot, delicious, and aesthetically pleasing (yay for latte designs!). If you're looking for caffeine refresher on the boardwalk, yeah, this place can do the job! But to my women, if you're coming to this coffee shop in your bathing suit, bikini top, or midriff, expect to be judged by the store owners. I was foolish to think that since they were so nice to other customers, they would be the same with me though I was wearing shorts and a modest bikini top that resemble a sports bra. They were very short and impersonal when I was ordering and spared no mind to it, but when I received my drink I had said, "Thank you!" with a smile and in response the lady said, "Ya Ok, thank you. Goodbye now." And shooed me away. Really want to support this small business but these vibes just seemed so off place considering it was indeed a beach where you'd expect people to be that kind of clothes. What a wonderful coffee stop as you stroll the Redondo Beach Pier. We were looking for a coffee to sip after a large lunch and spotted this small, clean coffee shop along the boardwalk. The barista was so friendly and greeted us when we entered the coffee shop. We ordered a medium iced mocha latte with skim milk. He ground the coffee beans fresh to brew and add to our beverage. Unlike other coffee shop chains, he did not fill the cup with ice, rather we got bang for our buck and the coffee was still nice and chilled! we came here the same day as the Chile earthquake..with all the talks of a tsunami possibly reaching Cali, i was hoping it would wash this shop off the pier. First off, their coffee comes from a cannister, it's not freshly brewed. The kid behind the counter had no clue what was going on, i don't know if he even spoke english because i couldn't hear what he was saying to me. my girlfriend was going to order a iced latte but when she saw that the coffee being served to me was out of a cannister she cancelled her order. so i got a medium coffee and a small hershey bar. I pulled out my credit card and guess what?? they don't take cards but they do have an ATM...great!! so the surcharge will make my coffee about $4. BUT, the ATM is OUT OF ORDER!! so i said nevermind, good luck, have a great day!! I do agree i was interested in going there because of the location, but just because its the only location on that area of the pier does not make it good.... read more
