A nice find for Persian eats in the area. Fair price, large food quantities along with pleasant staff. We wanted to take it in and had the chicken, beef and lamb koobideh platters. Great skewer portions along with tasty generous quantity of mild rice. Nice that this was not overly buttered like some syles of rice tend to be. The meat tasty though more garlic than we liked. The lamb and beef was near indistinguishable from each other than the aroma. Chicken highly garlic themed as well that between the three meats they sort of lost their inherit natural flavors. Food takes a while to come out because it is cooked fresh but very good. It is on the pricier side for the portion sizes but it is worth trying. This might be one of the best Koobide in OC especially for Persians looking to taste koobide that is similar to Iran. Sunday lunch with friends. This place was REALLY good! Since we were a party of 5, the server suggested family style. We ordered 3 entrees which with family style, the salad, chopped cuc tomato & tzatziki ) offered gratis. Pita with butter is offered table side with refills. We shared: 1) boneless chicken 2) Egypt kabob (seasoned gr beef) 3) kabob torsh (gr lamb marinated with pomegranate) The platter came out & looked amazing! We added polo lati (sumac, butter & tomato rice). Besides the meats and regular basmati rice, they had house-made pickles(dill), red onion slices, charred tomatoes, jalapeños, & lemon wedges. The meats were grilled beautifully, lamb wasn't "gamey", tender chicken breast nicely marinated in maybe a yoghurt base, pickles, lemon, jalapeños were a nice tart contrast. Almost forgot about the sumac on the side. I really enjoy sumac & the tartness it adds. Kind of reminds me of Japanese shiso. The salad with crisp iceberg lettuce, red cabbage & a pink dressing (tasted similar to 1,000 isle dsg). Pink from pomegranate(?) sumac(?). Anyway the salad was simple but nice. Tzatziki was creamy & tart. The cucumber tomato relish was HAND CUT! Not food processed. Perfectly nice square cuts. Fresh, simple & refreshing. Will return when in the area. This spot is centrally located for our friend group. Ample parking. Staff helpful with ordering for the newbies. While we've all had Mediterranean meals prior, all restaurants vary a bit. Honestly might have been my first time trying Persian food and I've definitely added it to my favorites. Definitely some similarities to Greek food and overall very healthy and filling. Friendly service, they were super welcoming and happily helped with recommendations. We all got an order of the Koobideh and some chicken on the side. I'd say I can put away food pretty well and this had me pushing a bit with lots of flavorful, filling protein. Meat was seasoned well, tender, juicy, and balanced out with the rice and vegetables. I happened to walk by Koobikland today while visiting another shop in the store front. I looked it up on Yelp and was so excited to find this Persian gem! I used to work for a Persian, Jewish school where some of the mothers cooked traditional food daily for lunch. This koobideh with rice and a grilled tomato was my favorite! This was hands down better than any I e had since. While placing my order to go, I asked if they happen to have any tahdig, and they did! You can see the generous portion they included on top of my rice. It was the best tahdig I've ever had! The consistency was just perfect and I'm not sure what they fry it in on the bottom, but it was just the right amount of crisp and flavor. I was offered soda or tea while I waited and I chose The Tea smelled delicious, but I didn't ask what it was. It came with sugar cubes in individual wrappers. When I asked for a spoon to stir my tea, one of the gentleman informed me that the Persian way is to put the sugar in your mouth and then sip the tea. I love that I learned something new. I will be back for the food and hospitality. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

The beef Koobideh was juicy and flavorful. Some of the best I ever had. The saffron rice was done very well. Rice should be easy but unfortunately not everyone gets rice done right. The drinks and juices were incredibly fresh and refreshing. I ordered to takeout beef and chicken Koobideh and kashke o bademjan & rice .In five minutes , the lady from the kitchen brought out a wrapped plastic bag in box & gave it to us . At home it was tasted , just warmed up stale food , from the leftover the night before . We live in Persian family eat Persian food but this food was extremely disappointing . The food wasn't tasty , over salted not delicious at all, had no aroma of fresh meal. The food had tiny portions with that cost . I wasted the money with tips( not supposed to give for take out) . The restaurant had dim lights , not any customer seen , looked like struggling business. There were many deceptive comments on social media & pictures that took us to this place. Got the eggplant Borani as an appetizer. It was really good, it also had like a Smokey taste to it. I'm not sure what caused it but it was really good with out food. Me and my friend got the combo platter with beef and chicken. Beef was very juicy and well made. Chicken was flavorful but the beef was our favorite. Definitely a must try. I'll definitely be returning for that. Not only was the restaurant super clean and fabulous, the food presentation and quality were up to par. We were greeted by our lovely waitress who was so friendly and accommodating. She served us pita bread with a beautiful house-made saffron butter. What a find! Just happen to stumble on this Persian place on our way back from Anaheim Stadium. We were hesitant to try the rice-polo lati but glad we did! We loved it! My feedback would be the plating as it is different from any experience at a Persian restaurant in that they serve your food on charcutterie boards. The charcutterie boards tend to slide while you eat off of them so it makes it inconvenient. Pricing is not the greatest especially when a Melon Juice that costs $10.99 is a very small serving and the portion sizes in comparison to other Persian restaurants locally do not compare. read more

We were thrilled to be able to come here for a late lunch today. When we arrived at 2pm we were the only ones there and luckily didn't need a reservation. They had incredible live music and a singer who had a lovely voice that serenaded us with a mix of Persian and English songs. The food: The mast o mousir was a pass for us since it was chunky and clumpy not the finely ground mousir we prefer. However the kebab, wow. The chicken was moist and delicious. Not dry at all and flavorful. The rice was fluffy and had a good amount of saffron. It came with a mast o khiar which was excellent so definitely the yogurt to order next time. The shirazi was seasoned well and perfectly diced. The bastani stole the show! Homemade, softly churned till smooth, fresh pistachios and cut into nice triangles. We ordered two of the ice creams for the 4 of us and we devoured it. Price was reasonable for the portion, atmosphere etc. Ice cream was expensive but given that it is homemade and legit saffron it is understandable. ($23 for two bowls) Definitely worth returning to when out in the area. read more

I love Persian food. And I'm always looking for an authentic place with good food and great prices. I live six hours away and in the area that I've lived in. There are very few places to get delicious food. I will 100% drive the six hours to come here for the food upon walking in. We felt welcomed we were seated at a table that was available bread and butter was provided. It was the most wonderful bread and butter that I've ever had in my life. My daughter and I ordered Persian tea and I've had this before. Remind you, but this was steep very well. Presentation was everything. Our server was just phenomenal welcoming we felt comfortable. The plates we ordered were a work of art, but the food came out cold, especially the rice and had no flavor. My plate came with a side of cucumber yogurt and the cutest sumac on the side. The yogurt was unfortunately tasteless and watery. The shirazi salad we ordered was really good but zero salt. My food came out cold and seemed like it was sitting out, which I found surprising since we were the only customers. The Persian tea was tasteless and lukewarm, even though she brought new tea. First of all, the setting is beautiful, and even the paper napkins have Koobikland name a logo embossed in it. The owner plays the piano while you're eating if you're lucky! We got the Beef Koobideh, Chicken Koobideh, King of Persia, Kashk Bademjan, Baklava and Saffron Ice Cream. Every single dish was excellent. Even the pita bread with butter was far beyond average.
