I went to the Plano location 10/10!!!! We got the beef short ribs, the chicken noodle and the beef rib noodle. Portions are HUGE. We both had lunch and dinner, with some short ribs left over for tomorrow. Service was quick and kind, interior of the location was quaint and adorable. We will be back! read more

Chicken soup nice 1st time but getting watery now not sure what's going on. Bulgulli big portion will fill you up. Everything spicy other than the chicken soup so we will not go anymore. Lots of places nowdays use spicy food to mask bad ingredients so we are weary. read more

First time here and we will definitely be back. The staff is very kind and they explained how to order since it was our first time here. The food was good too! We ordered the specialty beef soup. The noodles in the soup were yummy and the mushrooms and veggies tasted fresh. The restaurant itself is cute and small but cozy. It's a little hard to find the restaurant as it's tucked away so you can't really see it driving on the main road. The music they played wasn't too loud or fast, which made it easy to enjoy the meal and digest the food without the body feeling stressed like at most restaurants where they play k-pop loudly. I had the A1 combo which is Beef Kooksoo, Korean BBQ Bulgogi, and drink. The Bulgogi was a generous serving and it came with sautéed onions. The Beef Kooksoo was the star of the show. The noodles here are handmade and probably the best noodles I've had anywhere.The soup with very flavorful with pieces of beef throughout. They certainly know how to flavor the soup. A+++. I had a hankering for some Korean soup and this place did that and more! It's little place but I love it! So quaint but also clean and minimalistic in decor. Right when you walk in they greet and seat you. Menus are on the table and pretty straightforward so we ordered two dishes. The Stirfry Beef noodles and the beef rib soup. Ok the food here is amazing! The stirfry noodles have this garlic chili oil that has such a good umami flavor with soft chewy beef. The noodles you can taste from the first bite was super fresh and handmade! This was my husbands bowl but so was all over it! Lol Then my huge rib bone soup came out and I knew right away I wasn't going to eat all of this! The flavor was nice and light but a medium spicy that doesn't make you sweat while eating it. Especially in this Texas heat! The rib was fall of the bone good with such great flavors. It also reminded me of a more lean oxtail meat flavor and tenderness. If they put Oxtail in this thing it would be to die for as well! Just throwing out ideas here! They also give you a side of kimchi and this cute box for your utensils. We were slurping up our noodles and my hubby got a little on himself and they were so nice and offered him an apron! Such attentive service And great food deserves this 5 star review!!! read more

This Korean noodle place is quite good. I'm from LA and Korean food there is very good. I got the beef noodle and my friend got the spicy pork rib noodles. The beef noodle was decent but the rib noodles were delicious. The only thing I would change is adding more noodles to the entrees. read more

We went to check out their new Carrollton location, this place has been on my radar since they opened in Plano, but they are always so busy. Anyways, their new location is tucked away at the very end of a small strip mall, easy to miss, and inside is tiny, they only have about 10 tables, so avoid weekends, I can see how busy they can get. Now for the food, their menu is limited but WOW the noodles, it was excellent! We tried their signature King rib combo with bulgogi and everything was delicious!! All the flavor was on point and the portion was good so that I was able to share with my mom. Next time I might add more noodles! The only one small thing that I might take half star off would be they don't have any of the small dishes that I'm used to for Korean food, only kimchi (which was really good by the way) but I definitely missed my small dishes. It's a very small store that's pretty easy to miss compared to their Plano location, but their food and service were top tier. This restaurant keeps things simple with a very straight forward menu that isn't overly excessive. They also offer combo meals for those who wanna try a little bit of everything they have. The service was great, we were instantly greeted by an incredibly nice man upon walking in and was very friendly and helpful during the ordering process. He also offered us complimentary beef bulgogi later during the meal. We are thrilled to have a Kooksoo location in Carrollton! We came to dinner for their soft opening around 6pm and waited roughly 50 minutes to be seated. Place is tiny with limited seating. We had the stir-fried beef with noodles and an order of bulgogi. Both were delicious, along with the side of kimchi. Staff was attentive and friendly and the food tastes just like the one in Plano. This place is more of a rough hidden gem that needs some polishing. Nice exterior and interior with need for some fixing and reviews. Starting with the food. No complaints whatsoever. The noodles were juicy and chewy with good bounce to it. The sauce for the stir fry was more spice than flavor. The soup on the other hand was immaculate. Good depth in flavor and a mellow texture to pair with the noodles. The galbi was slightly over charred but still good. Now the service. The waitress and nice and respectful. However, when we arrived, there was only one other table there. Yet the time it took for the food to come to our table to nearly half an hour. This was 12:00 midday. Customer care was ok.
