Very honest and professional. My father puts about 1000 miles a year if that on his vehicle. When I went in to get his oil changed, Allen informed me that the oil is very clean and to change it only once a year if not driven more than 1500 miles. Very inexpensive for the oil change as it's $20 for 4 quarts and $5 additional per quart if needed. Coming from Phoenix to visit my father, I have a new place to take his vehicle for an oil change. Over the past couple of years I've had quite a bit of work done here (one car from the midwest and one is an old minivan). Catalytic converter, timing belt, oil changes, brakes, etc. I always request quotes from multiple auto shops in the area and Alan always has very competitive rates, usually the lowest. He explained the different types of brake pads and gave me good honest prices that I believe most if not all people would be happy with, very affordable place. Also, I had some lights out in the back and he noticed them and hooked me up with all the right lights that I needed. Allen is an amazing mechanic. He replaced my throttle position sensor and it only took him 2 hours, he was really fair in the pricing. It has worked perfectly since then. Walked in, got an oil change and smog in 30 minutes. All prices are very fair.

I called all over La Habra and Brea for quotes on changing the front brake pads on my Subaru. I'm glad I found Kool here on Yelp. I requested a quote through Yelp on Friday night and Alan responded immediately, and answered all of my follow up questions. His price beat every other shop that I contacted, by a very good amount. In fact, his price was so competitive, I was able to have him also do the rear brakes. He also gave me a great deal on replacing the break fluid, which I needed to get done anyway as part of the Subaru 60000 scheduled maintenance. All in, for front and rear Akebono pads AND the brake fluid, it cost me barely a hundred dollars more than other shops were charging JUST FOR THE FRONT PADS ALONE. Best and most honest. I take my car here to do oil changes because is the cheapest place, one day my daughter's car takes a dump and I take it here for an estimate, the guy could've charge me a lot to "fix" it and take advantage, but he flat out told me not to bother, that it wasn't worth fixing. It save me a lot of money because someone else would've charge me to fix a few things before telling me the engine was toast!! I know enough about cars to know when someone is full of bull crap, so I know that enough to tell this is a good place to go. *Trustworthy *Polite *Reliable *Fast *Cheap Five stars for sure! And no I don't know or I'm getting paid to say this, just want to share a good experience to me with whoever that needs automotive service. By the way they do smog check for $40 including certificate and free re-test if it doesn't pass, as well as $99 for brakes and $20 oil change!!! Came in here after looking on Yelp to see where I should go and I don't regret it. Nhat was really helpful. He suggested what I should get done to my car after I hit 100,000 miles and didn't try to push me to get anything. He wrote down everything I should get done and dropped the price of a few jobs if I had them all done there. I couldn't afford to do it all at once so he picked some services I should get done first and the others that could wait. He did all the work the same day and went to work right away on my car.
