Ive eaten there at least 10 times very nice people Ive always tipped them very well. Ive appreciated the food the place is unpretentious and casual . Except this last time I came in at 8:15 on a tuesday evening in my clean work clothes admittedly the work pants had old paint on them but so what it was tuesday night and its not a fancy restaurant and my clothes were clean. I sat down at a front table near the entry door and was given a menu. Then three well dressed young women came in and apparently wanted my table without even bothering to ask me they must have quietly told the owner they wanted to sit there. Suddenly the owner told me to sit at the back of the restaurant next to the kitchen. I asked if the three women had a reservation and she said no. I honestly felt like unwanted white trash at that point so i left as one of the Karens smugly glared at me pleased to have my table. Don't go there unless youre dressed to impress. My friend and I ate at Korean Garden last night and really enjoyed it. I am confident that I will frequent this place, a much welcome addition to the North Adams restaurant scene. The servers were very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. There were five banchan (little side dishes) that came with the meal. We had a tofu appetizer, and my friend had sushi while I went for a bowl of delicious hotpot. The menu had a huge range of choices, including sushi, bibimbap, and hotpot, in addition to other intriguing Korean dishes I look forward to trying. There was also a selection of beer, wine, and sake on offer. At the end of our meal, we received complementary vanilla + green tea ice cream! Exceptional! One of the best meals I've had in Berkshire County in ages. The sushi is amazing and extremely reasonably priced, as is the rest of the menu as well. The Bi Bim Bap that I had was very tasty and the others in our party all enjoyed their meals as well. Everything tasted and looked like it was prepared fresh in the kitchen. The waitstaff were very friendly and professional. I really can't stress enough how affordable and delicious this restaurant is. You can't go wrong here. read more

Amazing finding such an authentic Korean cuisine here, ordered hot stone bi bum bab, cooked just perfect and the Kalbi too, tried the T N T sushi roll delicious , so happy to find this place and I am coming back tomorrow to try some more dishes We finished with ginger ice cream not over powering with little bits of candies ginger. They have been open since March and this was our first visit.. Being Natives of this city we have seen many business come and go out of this building. It's a great location with easy parking, VERY friendly waitstaff that assist you with trying their cuisine!! Very respectful people and the food was outstanding . This location was the first Google search result when our group of friends searched for "lunch in Williamstown", and the food exceeded our expectations. The Manduguk soup as well as the tofu soup were both amazing, and the stone-pop bipbimbap was delicious and fulfilling. Okay the building may not have awesome curb appeal but the magic happens on the inside!!! Waitress was incredibly helpful, friendly, warm & inviting. She made us feel as if we were in her home!! I'm a southerner who married a northerner... And quite frankly North Adams is NOT an area I would describe as multicultural when it comes to Asian cuisine (compared to say Atlanta that has a bit of everything). So when we saw online there was a Korean restaurant in this city, well the curiosity got the better of us and we gave it an apprehensive try. We have not been to Korea, but have Korean friends and have had Korean in Japan (and yeah, it's not the same as being in Korea BUT). I thought the food was wonderful - the yukuejang soup is delicious and spicy with green onions, beef and egg. The hot stone bibimbab with beef was also a great. Some reviewers have described the food as bland - I like my bibimbab spicy so if I ate it as is it would not have that kick I like, but I think this is because of the people in this area. Americans are so dang fickle and tend to shy away from spice - so in this sense I think the food is made at base level and you add the spice you need either by kimchi (Extra Bc, well can you imagine most Americans wanting to try that? No they'd leave it on their plate and waste it) or the red hot sauce (the name escapes me). Both times we went we saw the owner, super nice guy. Both times I got the same thing but my husband changed it up and got a kimchi stir fry with pork (kimchi bokum) and he loved it even more. Portions are appropriate to the price. I have to say I find this the best restaurant in the area, and my husband (a 20 year native to the area) agrees. Perhaps you will too. Take a chance and be pleasantly surprised! read more

This place is hiding in a part of North Adams one might not find by accident, but it's worth the little detour for a quiet and delicious lunch. Korean Garden is a rare treat in this corner of the world. The hot stone bi bim bop is defintely a highlight (I had mine with tofu) -- perfect crunchy rice at the bottom -- and the scallion pancakes are top notch, as is the little selection of vegetables and sauces they bring to start the meal. I am Korean and love Korean food. My husband (who is not Korean) and I were visiting family in the area and tried this place for lunch. We liked it so much we came back the very next day for lunch again! We ordered jap chae noodles, yuk gae jang (spicy beef soup), bibimbap, and udon noodle soups. Food tasted great, service was good, food is reasonably priced. We told everyone we were visiting to come check out this place. So having been to Korea I haven't had real Korean food in a while. This is as authentic as can be, actual Korean food cooked by a Korean family, like they invited you into their house for dinner, and as friendly too! Not to mention experience, while it's a relatively new restaurant the owner and her husband have been in the restaurant business for about 25 years, not to mention he has 25 years experience as a sushi chef which shows because every piece of sushi is a work of art, you almost feel bad for eating it and not admiring it longer. I can't recommend it enough. If you like asian food wait until you try Korean food! One last thing, they are generally very fast, even on busy nights it seems like your food is in front of you as if they knew what you were going to order as soon as you sat down. While maybe a small exaggeration I can't remember thinking when is my food getting here like I do and I'm sure you do sometimes. You shouldn't have that problem here. And Wednesday night from 5-9 is half priced sushi night so I'll be there Wednesdays if you have further questions! read more

I love Korean food and Korean garden fulfills all my cravings. Not only that but they also have some Japanese meals and sushi! My favorite thing to eat here is soondubu which is soft tofu jigae (Korean hot stone pot stew) with seafood. This is a really nice place. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the service is great and friendly, and the food is exactly what I was looking for. I had the bibimbap with pork in the hot pot and my boyfriend had chicken katsu don. The portions were really generous. He said the chicken katsu was some of the best he ever had. It was crispy and had a nice textural component. My bibimbap was great, though it would have been nice with larger pork chunks. We've been going to North Adams frequently lately - both for events at MassMoCA and to search for a house. Finally made it to Korean Garden and were really glad we did! The three of us - two Brooklynites and one Los Angeleno - love Korean food and Korean Garden did not disappoint. Shared some shumai and all three of us went for the Bibimbap (two beef, one pork). Fantastic meal on a chilly March evening. The service was attentive and very friendly. We had an engaging conversation with Jenny (one of the owners...hope I'm spelling that right) about food, North Adams, etc. The sushi looked terrific and we'll definitely be going back to try that and some of the other traditional Korean dishes on our next trip(s). I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for quite a while and am so glad I finally made it there. We were greeted with some small apps to snack on while perusing the menu (a nice touch). We started out with the Pa-Jun (Veg-Scallion Pancake) and were very impressed. We followed it up with the Pork Bulgogi and Hot Stone Bi Bit Bab. Both were so flavorful and the spice level was perfect. The service was excellent. We like to sit a bit between courses, so given that these places usually get the food out fast, we waited until after we finished our pancake to order our meal. The timing was performed. If you want a dinner that is quicker than 3 hours, go somewhere else. I went with three friends, we ordered "half-price" sushi once, the small rolls weren't enough to fill us so we ordered just two more roles for the table. It took OVER ONE FULL HOUR for those two rolls sushi to come out. People who walked in 25 minutes after we placed our order received their food before we did. Our waitress came to us once and charged me FULL PRICE for a 12$ sushi roll after she said it was half price. read more
