Small unassuming Korean eatery in a strip mall setting. I have only stopped here for lunch, but the food has been consistently good. My usual dish is the bulgogi, which is served plain with a portion of rice and some side dishes. Very traditional sides, kimchi and pickled vegetables. Nothing fancy or exciting, but still good. I like that the meat is not served with an excess of sauce pooling on the plate. The facility is nice and clean. Pleasant decor and friendly service make for an overall good experience. Based on other reviews, I think I need to come with family for dinner or something as the larger meals look excellent. This is such a cute, tiny place hidden away. Came here with friends and their parents for a lunch. I got the Hot Pot Bi Bim Bap. We ordered the fried pot-stickers to start. I didn't know that the miso soup came with my dish so it sat until someone asked if I didn't want it, and I was like, is it mine? Then slurped it up! The food tasted fresh, the sides at the table when you sit down were delicious and fermented to perfection. I really enjoyed the Hot Pot Bi Bim Bap, it came out with the egg being raw but the put was hot, a couple min mixed in and it was fried! It was a very quite and enjoyable experience. I'm having a hard time wanting to give this place more stars. Ok, for Woodbridge, there isn't many KBBQ restarunts so, I guess they can get away with charging what they want for the plates. For the price you pay ($15-30) for the korean dishes they come out a little burnt due to it being on those hot plates and not very flavourful. The spicy pork was indeed spicy (and I love spic)but this just tastes like I was eating gochujang from the container. The pickled cucumbers were nice but instead of being nice slices they were chunks. This place has lots of potential but they need to fix the prices and focus on flavor. I can go to Global foods the grocery store a little up the road and get bigger portion of the same thing for $20 bucks vs the $50 we spent tonight. read more

Wow! I was not expecting this place to be so damn good!! (Me being ignorant bc of the location... I am so sorry!). Probably the best Korean food I've ever had. Everything had so much flavor and just tasted fresh and homemade. I had the galbi gui bento box lunch (came with jahpchae, salad, rice and a fried wonton - all of it, even the rice was so delicious). The galbi was so tender and tasty it just melts in your mouth. Of course the meal also came with the pickled sides, kimchi (which was MY Favorite!), bean sprouts, kimchi cucumbers and pickled radish. I could've had a 3rd helping of the kimchi! This is truly a gem and will definitely come back over and over! read more

We have been to the Korean Grill many times. Each time was really good. We get the Chicken-Gui Box. It comes with cellophane noodles, green salad, a fried dumpling, and white rice. The chicken has a charcoal grill flavor and is usually very tender. All the side dishes are quite tasty by themselves or with a little extra sauce. Before you get the Box, you are given kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radish, and kimchi cucumber. All are excellent and you can get more of them if desired. The interior is plain and clean. The service is excellent even though there is usually only one server. read more

This mom and pop restaurant is the closest to authentic Korean cuisine I have had since I left Korea in 1992. The portions are generous the food is out of this world. The staff is always courteous and helpful, the restaurant is clean and well kept. The only thing missing would be soju or some OB beer, but they don't sell liquor. If you like Korean cuisine and culture make it a point to stop by eat and talk to the staff. Well worth the time and money. If you like Kimchi there's is one of the best I have tasted. read more

Galbi was medium rare and very flavorful good steak and Bulgogi was smoky and seasoned perfectly。 Side dishes were ok but everything came out cold including meat and rice weren't acceptable in my book. $2 for miso soup was ridiculous considering every Korean restaurant serve complete meal including soup with the meal. Good meat but presentation for lunch was more like someone's house instead of restaurant. Good meat but everything else can use some improvement. I was going to go with the Bugolgi lunch special, but the waitress pushed the lunch box instead. It was $3 more, but I obliged because it came with more food to try and that's the best way to get a feel for the food. I'm glad I did. Everything was tasty. The lunch box came with some noodles, salad, 1 dumpling, rice and the meat. It also came with the Bonchon of kimchi, cucumber, sprouts, and radish. Tasty, tasty, nom, nom. The only reason why I've docked a star is because of the meat portion. For a $14 lunch, I expected more meats to come in my box. At Korean Grill, the formula is quite simple. Pop mans the little kitchen in the back while mom and daughter serve customers in the dining room (an immaculately decorated and spotless one at that). On the night of my visit (nearing closing time), I felt a bit like I was intruding; but, my dinner party was warmly greeted nevertheless. Both mom and daughter, making us feel like guests in their home, provided unhurried attention with a smiling and friendly attitude. They made recommendations and offered suggestions when others at my table asked about the menu. For me, I didn't care. I had a feeling anything was going to be good. And, indeed, all of the food that I sampled was just that. The fried mandu that started the evening's meal was crispy and piping hot (with a filling that was distinct and not mushy). The banchan was varied and fresh and served as a perfect complement to the food that accompanied it. The soondubu jjigae, featuring baby mussels and squid and creamy chunks of tofu, was a more than passable rendition of this classic stew (even though connoisseurs wouldn't have confused it for the best). The spicy galbi tang delivered a kick and hit the spot with its fierce broth and odd chunks of galbi meat. Of the two broths, this was the lesser of the two in quality; but, it nonetheless held its ground (especially, on a night when a bit of spicy heat was more than welcomed). However, what really distinguished Korean Grill and solidified the night's meal was the galbi gui. It came out of the kitchen on a hot metal platter and just smelled as aromatic as could be. When I bit into the meat, like someone hitting the jackpot, I enjoyed an intensely satisfying charred flavor as the well marbled, tender ribs melted in my mouth just like succulent meat should. Wow. I would not hesitate to say that these were the best grilled galbi ribs that I have ever had (certainly much better than what I clumsily grill for myself at more accomplished Korean BBQ restaurants). Whether eaten straight or as a ssäm wrap with some lettuce and ssämjang paste, the galbi was just utterly delicious. Frankly, as good as they were, they simply blew away the soondubu and galbi tang and almost made them a complete afterthought. The restaurant, located on Golansky Blvd. right off of Smoketown Rd. (about one traffic light up from Potomac Mills Mall) is a bit hard to find as it is tucked away in best hidden gem fashion. I guess, it is as it should be. A charming restaurant like Korean Grill with its "homecooking" probably shouldn't directly face a busy street. I know I wouldn't want that kind of traffic in front of my house. read more

Get Koreandale and Seoulville out of your head and people might recognize that the Korean Grill in Woodbridge is actually pretty darn good! Look, it's hard to compete against the truly great Korean restaurants in Annandale and Centreville, but this place has some really great food with a quiet, friendly atmosphere. I've experimented with about half of the menu here and have never been disappointed. The bibimbap and BBQ are my favorites, and although this is no Yechon or Honeypig - if you live in Woodbridge and have a craving for Korean cuisine this place fits the bill. I typically get my food takeout because it's close to my house and the female owner / hostess is always smiling and remembers me every time I come to get more. Maybe some of her goodwill rubs off on me, but I think many reviewers here experience some of the joints in the Korea-towns and maybe set the bar too high. read more

(As long as each person orders an entrée) Food is fresh and flavorful. Deng Jang which was filled with Tofu but not much pork. It was ok but I dont think ill get again. Salmon Teriyaki was amazing. Galbi Gui/Beef Bulgogi was mouth watering but a bit pricy considering the Asian Super market nearby has similar menu for much less. (They don't give much sides though) Seafood Kal Guk was spicy and very satisfying considering how cold it was outside. It comes to the table almost boiling in a black pot. We ordered both fried and steam dumplings. They were great and had sauces that complimented them very well. The verdict: A bit pricy for the bulgogi $22.95 but considering you don't have to drive to Annandale, Korean Grill is a great alternative. read more

This was my 3rd and last visit... The restaurant is clean, and that's nice. But the food is way over priced and not that great. Went with a bunch of coworkers who wanted to try it out. The bulgogi was fatty and greasy. It had an ok flavor, but was nothing special and definitely not worth $18. They serve soda from a can. Service was very slow. Their Bento boxes looked like they had a decent amount of food in them. Ordered the tempura shrimp which was NOT tempura rather regular fried shrimp and not very tasty. If you're in this area and want good food for an incredible price and great service, go next door to El Paso! read more
