I truly liked the food, and definitely will be back to try something new. But it's pretty expensive for the portion you will receive. I come here quite often for their Bulgogi from their Birimbop menu. I just adore Korean kitchen not only because it's the best spot for K food in Miami, but also has accessible prices. It has that beautiful hole in the wall feeling that you feel like you've discovered a little place that no one else knows except that everybody else gets there just when you're walking up. There's sometimes a wait before you're seated but it's very brief. It's a small and cozy ambience and a delightful selection of authentic Korean dishes makes this a place you want to visit. We had the wings, seafood pancake and bibimbap with bulgogi. It was all delicious, we would order all three items again (and again). If I had to rank it would probably be pancake, wings and bibimbap. I've read some reviews about the service being slow, now, it wasn't fast food, but it wasn't super slow. I'm so mad I missed out on them for that long, but wow, I hope they continue to be here for the long haul. I ordered the spicy pork bibimbap, no mushrooms, and 6pc. fried dumpling. Came here for the whole fried chicken that I've seen on mukbangs. This place makes it easy and cuts the whole chicken into pieces to make sure it's cooked and crispy. I can say I was a little sad but I understand. The chicken was suuuuuuper good. It came with a dipping sauce on the side and it was so delicious we refilled it again. Had the seafood fried rice. The food is absolutely delicious! Can't complain there. The service was okay, nothing to write home about. My gripe with this place is the nickel and diming. My friend ordered something that came with Yaki Mandu and he asked for a dipping sauce and he was told by our server that he would have to pay 50 cents for it or she could take his kimchi back and then it'd be free. I found their kimchi delicious and asked for another little side of it and was charged 50 cents. I've been to many korean places and never been charged for that. Calling in the order was easy and it was ready as scheduled. The gal behind the counter was super friendly and saved me from accidentally eating kimche (which apparently isn't vegetarian?!). After chatting for a few minutes I took it to go. They have a sorta outdoor seating arrangement but it's completely enclosed with plastic, so it's almost more indoor than out. The food was on point. This place is has truly authentic and delicious Korean street food. We started with the Korean corn dog it was sweet and savory all at once. The dough was perfect and cheese melt to perfection. The special tteok-Nikki had to be my favorite. It had explosive flavors and spices that left me wanting more. It came with ramen, dumplings, seaweed wraps and fried shrimps. Really great Korean spot! We sat out on the patio during a warm day and the food was delicious. We got so much food but didn't feel horribly stuffed at the end, which we were very happy about. We tried quite a few items. The kimchi pancake was nice and thin and crispy. I got a squid and pork stir fry dish which was good, though I'd probably go with just meat next time as the squid is a bit rubbery (not surprised). Family and I were in the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try based on some great reviews. It was our first time trying Korean food so we were excited. The place is small which by no means is that an insult. If you read some of my other reviews I actually prefer smaller spots. They have outdoor and indoor dining. The inside has better seating capacity for large parties and is very nicely decorated. But there are no windows. Outside seating was our preference and it lends to the laid back atmosphere. Services was quick and very friendly. They answered all our questions. As for the food, I think we tried a bit of everything. My son, who is a picky eater, loved the Korean Corn Dog. He loved it so much he asked for another. He also had fried chicken wings and fries. The wings were super crispy and juicy. The fries were also perfect. The corn dog surprisingly didn't have a hot dog inside. It was cheese with a corn batter with slight sugar powdered on the outside. Super delicious. For apps, my wife and I had the Chive Pancake and the Meat Dumplings. Both were great but we preferred the pancakes. It's a great size for sharing. For our mains, we had the Pork Bulgogi over Rice bowl. It was also a good size portion and very tasty. I had the Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap. I decided to have it in the stone bowl for an extra 2 dollars. The stone bowl allows for the dish to continue cooking and makes the rice crispier as you are eating it. If you are Cuban as I am then you can relate it too the rice at the bottom of your abuela's Hitachi, la raspa. Again super delicious. My only complain is not having a second stomach to finish everything. Everything was amazing. We were all super happy. They also have a great Korean drink selection. I had a large Terra beer which is my favorite. But they also had many varieties of Sojus and Milkis. They even leave you with some Korean candles once you pay. This was my first time trying Korean style food and it was actually pretty good to me. The chicken was savory and sweet and gave me the vibe of a slightly sweet soy sauce. The white rice by itself had no flavor, but mixed in that chicken bulgogi sauce, it was good. The restaurant seemed well kept, but due to the size it is very easy to miss, so you have to keep your eyes peeled while looking for this location. Having only had Korean Food from a friends house, unfortunately I have not had it often since that person moved back home so I hadn't had Korean Food in years.......that's until I found Korean Kitchen! I found out about this place while I was in my favorite Pho spot and overheard these two beautiful Asian ladies talking about Korean Kitchen. And I said to myself, I must give this place ago! This unassuming spot is located in a shopping-center on the North Side of very, very busy 163rd street in sleepy North Miami Beach. It is attached to a closed dental office, across the street from the Bells lof Tacos. There is only outside seating, no A/C......only fans and Mother Nature but I've never been HOT sitting there even during our Tropical South Florida Summer. The menu is on the walls and the door to the kitchen. It is a sizable menu that gives you a cross section of Korean Food from street favorites to family dinner offerings and American influenced snack and comfort foods. I have not gone through the whole menu (yet) but what I have had is very, very good. Here's what I've eaten: Appetizers: Fried Dumplings Clear Noodle in Seaweed Fried Shrimp Chicken Gizzards Chicken Wings (Garlic Soy/Sweet and Spicy) Korean Pancake (Chive, Kimchi, Kimchi Cheese, Seafood) Noodles: Ramyun (Egg, Cheese, Dumpling, Ricecake, Everything) Bi-Bim-Bap [Rice Bowl]: I've had them all; you can't go wrong! Delicious Korean food served by really nice people! My experience started by trying the Tteokbokki. These are rice cakes served in a semi-spicy sauce, fish cakes and sliced vegetables. The sauce adds a really nice flavor and touch to the rice cakes; these are tasteless on their own. To compliment my meal I ordered the mango Makgeolli. This was so refreshing especially during a warm summer day. This drink was blended with fresh mango pieces and it was creamy, a little sweet, and just perfection. I'm obsessed! The walls are covered with Korean kitsch, food pictures, and chalk dribbled dish offerings. The menu is at the counter, a pile of stapled black and white print outs with a pointlessly large number of variations on a few dishes: bibimbap, stir fries, soups and others. Service is very courteous. No diet soda available, but they do have Lotte drinks, Korean teas and other beverages. The food was spectacular. The stone pot bibimbap was very flavorful, with bits of crunchy rice. The pork and squid stir fry was very good, with the right amount of spice. Banchan - small plate Korean appetizers - is mostly limited to kimchee. I wish they had other pickles and vegetable dishes available as banchan. In general, amazing hole-in-the wall type of place.
