First timer here tonight with my brother. It was pretty much a full house, expected on a weekend evening though. We added our name to the waitlist and was called inside pretty quickly, around a 10 minute wait. It's a little different than your usual AYCE KBBQ, you basically go grab your own meats, side dishes, etc., which is pretty nice since you can control portion. The meat was good, wouldn't say it's the freshest but a good variety as well as all the banchan (side dishes). It was pretty loud inside because there's so many customers, little lines sometimes to wait to grab your meat, sauces, etc. Would return! read more

I went to check it out this place few months ago and left after getting nasty attitude from the worker. We got there to make sure we are on time right when they open to get seated right away. First of all, they weren't ready. Second of all, bad bad customer service. I asked the lady how long the wait is; ignored. I asked again, she gave me the dirtyass look as if she's trying to say 'IM BUSY' and didnt even answer my question and casually pointing the line like 'you have to get in line' like i wasnt in line. You can gobble in Korean but sure they didn't think id understand Korean. Worst experience ever! Went with full of expectations and left with full of dissatisfaction. What can I say, my family n me are super glad they are open again for indoor dining!!! Been coming here for years but when they closed due to covid we where super sad. Been here about 5 times since they reopened in March 2021. James is as cool as the other side of the pillow! Always friendly and makes waiting for a table enjoyable. The food is decent but don't like their new serving format of bringing portioned plates of food to the table. I don't care to have so much of same food forced on me to eat all or be charged extra for food you left behind. I find this new serving method wasteful & I can't really enjoy the food that I really like to eat or mixing my own sauces which I enjoyed the most to compliment with my food. I love it here. I'd say it's one of my favorites for Korean bbq. Since you can get your own meats and side dishes. That way your not really wasting and can get as much or little as you want to try different things easily without wasting much if it isn't to your liking. It was my first visit here. I like the buffet style versus ordering meat at a traditional AYCE KBBQ. Koreana Grill is a buffet style AYCE KBBQ restaurant. There are fruits, veggies, side dishes, and various cuts of meat/seafood that you grill at your table. There is also a soft serve ice cream machine for your little ones. I'm surprisingly impressed at the vegan and vegetarian options and the fact that they discount the price by a couple dollars for those not eating meat (which is fair since meat is the primary expense). I was hesitant to go here but I found enough things to eat that I was happy overall, especially with the delicious rice, this wasn't just boring plain brown rice, it was the good stuff. It's still too expensive for what you get if you don't eat meat, but I appreciate their efforts and that they let the veg people in our group have our own meat-free grill. Pretty normal and standard BBQ with solid options. Premium stuff is during dinner and weekends but that means the price also goes up. Love their soup options and veggie options. What pushed me over into the 5 stars was the service. Very attentive and even brought me new items to try which really enhanced the experience. I don't know what's more shocking. An actual Korean BBQ restaurant in Riverside or that I enjoyed it more than most of the K-town Korean BBQ places! Food: WIDE wide wide wiiiiide selection. To an extent it is just too much. There's a hint of japanese and chinese food to select from but I stuck with the meats. There were about 8 different types of meat to choose from. The meat quality is definitely not the best I've had but given this is NOT K-Town and definitely unexpected it was good enough! This reminded me of Korea where you go grab your own meat and sides. The Chop Chae was delish! I think I ate more of the sides than actual meat. Service: The waiter walked by every 10 minutes just to make sure everything was ok which I never experienced before in any Korean restaurant in the US. To my surprise he refilled our drinks twice and made sure the grills were changed accordingly without us having to ask. Environment: I was a bit surprised a place with such a wide arrangement of foods to choose from with a small location. I imagine long lines on a friday/saturday night. The lighting is also a bit dull. The booth seats made it hard to get out and get food. The grills felt cheap like the ones you can buy for home. They burned rather quickly. On a high note there was a suction thing connected to each grill. I was wondering why the place didn't smell like Korean BBQ when I walked in. The suction does a great job of keeping the smoke away from you. I actually didn't smell that much when I left. Still my fav place and because of inflation the price went up a little from before and some of the options have also been deleted from the menus since COViD and some of the items you can't served yourself like galbi, beef belly, intestine, scallops,shrimp and fish filet. Plus those items only offers at dinner hours only except for weekends since it will be available throughout the day with dinner price options Those items that requires servers to get them for you from an off limit section area can be offers during lunch hours during weekdays at dinner price so you don't have to wait until dinner time. AYCE Korean BBQ - Buffet style! There's a variety of meat selections ranging from brisket, bulgogi, pork belly, spicy chicken, etc. What I like about this place is you don't need to wait for the servers to give you the meats and you're more than welcome to try anything that is served. You get to choose which vegetables you would like (if you want any at all), and there are selections of mussels, tempura, noodles, and other side dishes (potato salad, seaweed salad, kimchi, etc). As for condiments - you'll need to get your own sesame oil + salt. There's also minced garlic available too! (It adds a nice fragrance to the grilled meats, and who doesn't love garlic??) If there are some food items that you can't seem to find, the server or host is willing to help you find them. I just know that the rice paper is inconspicuously hidden in the back next to the desserts. As for desserts, there's frozen vanilla ice cream! BEST K-BBQ!! This is my FIRST review of 15 years eating here. The only self serve all you can eat bbq buffet around. Always long line especially weekends. We're regular here often on Friday or Saturday nights. The food always good here from Monday to Sunday, EVERYDAY!!! The AUTHENTICITY flavor of the side dishes just like homemade. So comforting! Every BITE of the food here warms my heart. The servers here do not have an ounce rudeness in them. They're all so attentive also caring about serving you. The bussers are always busy and working hard. It's always busy and crowded because the food is so DELICIOUS and priced just right. We loved the manager Mr. James has always reminding us not to be shy and eat more you can but just don't waste. Past Friday server lady told us he had injured his ankle and staying home recovering. Got here around 4pm on a Thursday and there were about 3 other families. It is back to buffet style except for the meats that are for dinner like beef belly, shrimp etc. They give you a paper and you just order it and they bring it to your table but everything else you get up and get. The price was $25.99 without the drink for dinner. I really enjoyed the beef belly and everything else was good too. I like the meat selection better than Gens KBBQ. It would have gotten 5 stars but the A/C is just not that good. We sat in a corner and it was better to sit outside. It's summer time so today was in the 100s. maybe upgrading the a/c system would be a good move for them. When we left their was a line outside at around 6pm.
