I came from Colorado to visit family here in Riverside. After spending the day with them we were looking for a place to eat. We didn't want anything that was heavy, so we were looking for a Vietnamese restaurant but came across this place as we were driving, and saw the parking lot was packed full! We looked it up and saw this place also had great reviews, so naturally we decided to give it a go. We walked through the door and Matt greeted us and was very kind and attentive to us. He broke down how everything worked, the food location and checked in on us from time to time. Matt provided great service, and this place is a buffet! The other staff also checked on us and changed out our grill surface top when it needed to be changed, we didn't have to ask or wait. The food was delicious, and the variety they provided was wonderful! I didn't know where to start, or when to end. I started with a hite beer and proceeded to dive into their Miso soup, from there I ate almost every appetizer, brown rice, and ate about every meat they provided! I had seconds and thirds! I finally finished with soft served ice cream, and full stomach. I know whenever I come into town, this will be a go to spot, not only for the food, but for the service as well. We love it we eat what we want we don't have to keep waiting for server to get to us for more meat. Always there with refills! People are tripping if they don't like eat here. Love this place!!! They seated you really fast as you enter the door. Food was delicious!!!! I love how they have everything lay out from meats to side dishes! They also had fried seafoods and sushi!!!! Yum!!! We went for lunch and it was so worth it!!! I love how you don't have to ask for refill on anything but the drinks. And I love how I can just take what I am going to eat and control the portions. Not like other places they give you a big plate of what you want to try and if you don't like it you still have to eat it and sometimes too much and you have left over. It was crap. Today when I came though, the selections and quality of everything was a lot better. The bulgogi and beef brisket are always my favorite go-to meats and the bulgogi here is pretty good but the beef brisket could be better. They offer rice paper but it's a bit hidden next to the soups. They have an ice cream machine of only one flavor, vanilla, but they have strawberry and chocolate syrup you can pour over it. When I previously had their ice cream it was icy but today, it wasn't that bad. It wasn't creamy but it was okay. They have definitely improved the quality of their food since the last time I've been here. * TIP FOR MANAGEMENT: the signs that are put up for the meats and other selections really need to be organized better.. SERVICE: We made a registration for 10 literally 40 minutes before we arrived and they took it. It's really cool how an AYCE buffet style place takes reservations. Rare! The workers aren't too attentive on refilling your water or any other service but don't be afraid to flag them down for anything even if you have to go up to them to ask. There was one man who was on top of changing our grill and helping us with the yogurt soju. INTERIOR: It's not modern or very welcoming at all. The interior looks like a cheap/poor Asian restaurant. 20 for AYCE korean bbq. You gotta love it. This place is quite large and spacious. Tons of 4-seater booths with grills in the middle. You can go grab your meats and bring them back to grill whenever you like, no waiting for servers. Plus, their meats are fantastic. I like their spicy marinade, the savory one and just the thin slices of beef/pork they provide. They also have some good seafood in case you're into that. What they don't have are good soups. Their soft tofu and butternut squash were really disappointing, but why are you going there for that? Don't every worry about it, just fill up on meat guys. Definitely would come again. Side note (for side dishes) - their jap-chae is actually pretty tasty and a good complement to the meat. just sayin. read more

The food here is not the greatest, but it's not the worst either. It's alright. The quality of the meat is just fine, but I dislike that it is buffet-style in that you have to get EVERYTHING. The set-up is very different compared to other KBBQ's, and I guess that varies from place to place. This AYCE joint actually serves its purpose as an AYCE, 'cause they actually require you to get up and pick whatever it is you'd like to place on the grill. Me personally, I went straight for the bulgogi (it's my fave). I didn't care too much about the brisket and other meats, I just wanted my bulgogi. I came here with my cousin and her boo, and while we were eating, the manager always - ALWAYS checked up on us. Made sure we had enough water and everything was okay, he even told us when to change our grill and did it for us too! He's really good with his customer service - we loved it. I got a dollar off lunch 'cause I'm a UCR student and he wrote down my name so that he'd remember it the next time. What a sweet old man. I'd give this place a 4 if they had more variety with their food. But, it's pretty decent for the price. You actually get what you pay for. read more

So this place was pretty good though it could use a spruce up. The hoods that suck up the smoke could be stronger. Four of us at the table and the smoke blew in my face. The food was alright- the kalbi ribs were the best. Everything else was okay. I tried to eat $20.99 worth of food. Half the staff was friendly while the other half was just okay. They would probably do better using the cast iron style grills instead of the metal. Though they change it out when it gets to caked on with burnt sugar. I've been coming here since the mid 90s! . I'm glad to see them still in business and doing well! They finally renovated, and their food still has not changed. Still really good quality meat! You would think since it's a self service, their quality of meat would go down to save on cost, but nope! Good quality brisket and other meats. I like going to Korean BBQ buffets because I can get my own meat without having to call over my server every time. I have been to many KBBQ restaurants and usually eat a lot of KBBQ at home too. The quality of the meat was okay, but not great. My friend and I was dining for a good hour or two and they never brought out beef belly (they should have gotten rid of the sign if they were out of stock). I usually enjoy eating meat that is not marinated or seasoned, because you don't know the quality of the meat that they are using under all the sauce. They had veal gutt that is usually used for soup/stews, it was not fresh and very dry. They didn't have rice paper for rice paper wraps, which was totally fine because they had lettuce for the traditional lettuce wraps. Their kimchi was decent and to my surprise, they had green onion salad. I sampled all of their soups and I couldn't find a favorite. Their side dishes were pretty bad. I would hate for people to eat their side dishes and think that is what Korean food taste like. Their dinner price was $20.99, which is the same as Wang Cho's dinner price. For the same money, I rather go to Wang Cho. read more

Food is a amazing and staff is incredibly sweet. Our first time here and we were very comfortable. My boyfriend and I came here tonight and will be back for sure! All you can eat is such a great price, we ended up paying $97 ($45 for two all you can eat, $7 for each Sapporo beer which is awesome because they were HUGE! You would have paid 14 for each at most places, and the rest was a tip). they came by to check on drinks and to change out grill very often. Amazing service and everything tastes great. There are plenty of options even at lunch (14.99) which ends at 3:30. The staff is great and very accommodating! Our waters were never empty for too long and our grills got changed frequently. We came like half an hour before the lunch special ended and we were reassured that we would have plenty of time to eat and be comfortable. They switch out the food for dinner but the waitress was so nice, she offered to get our food for us so we wouldn't get mixed up with the dinner rush and have to pay dinner prices. I sit here in the booth completely satisfied and utterly amazed. The service, quality, quantity, and price are all totally worth the visit here. This is my first Korean barbecue buffet, but I know it's the best without comparison. Every other buffet I've been to has been above $20 and I barely try those ones because I know I won't even eat that much to make it worthwhile. This place, though, makes it hard to quit eating after one helping. Even after two helpings, I found myself hungry for more. The amount of different meats, sides, and sauces was superb. All the food was well marinated and seasoned to perfection; they probably don't even need the sauces. But the sauces were equally delicious. Try them all. What makes it even better is the service. Never have I ever--even in sit-down and order restaurants--been served with such attention. A couple of employees visited my table multiple times to keep our grill fresh and check on how we're doing. The meat quality is fair but not high end like Los Angeles. Things I like were the variety of meat selection from non marinated chicken, beef and pork belly to marinated bulgogi and spicy pork. Great selection of ban chan. For all those who like Korean side dishes they have it all. Also they have plenty of lettuce to make lettuce wraps and sliced scallions. =) The have small station of miscellaneous food items like tempura, calamari, pot stickers and California rolls.
