Was very happy to find this wonderful KBBQ , food was out standing. We enjoyed the staff and how helpful and caring they all were. Environment was welcoming and comfortable. Highly recommend giving them a try !

Spacious location with plenty of tables that has wonderful and traditional Korean BBQ. Our server was nice and professional. We ordered only beef bulgogi because that's what my group enjoy eating at KBBQ. We also got the beef tartar and it was delicious. All the sides were great. Definitely recommend this place for Korean BBQ in the suburbs.

It's good for Korean bbq! Very authentic and traditional meat and side dishes. All the meats were good and service was solid. Portions were big and even though it's not AYCE, it still left me very full. The owners are an old Korean couple it seems. I really liked the kimchi fried rice that they made at the end using the clay pot. Great spot for Korean bbq!

everything amazing at koreana! the side dishes, food& meats! been coming here last 2 years and the quality and taste always the same!

As a Korean girly who grew up in Korea for half my life, Imma say this is the BEST K-BBQ spot I've ever tried in IL! The portions are huge, the meat is super fresh, and the service was amazing. But the jjigae (soup) was literally the best I've ever had

10 Stars!! OMG! I heard angels sing after every bite. Cute little place with friendly owners and delicious food. Our new favorite place either an interesting concept of cooking your own food with the grill in the center of the table. We chose the $65 combo platter that included shrimp, beef bulgori, Chicken, pork, and short ribs. The meal comes with a soup, rice, and tons of sides. We will for sure be back and is a must try for others.

I would like this to be kept as secret honestly. The unmarinated kalbi is our favourite...well marbled and good quality! They use diff grills for diff meats and depends on what you order, there would be kimchi fried rice at the end :D They always have this super yummy kalbijjim kinda side dish...i had to exercise a lot of self control so not to overeat this side dish! LOL I also love their kitchen food...the only place i can find the bulgogi soup (i can never remember its korean name) that tasted similar to what I had in Seoul...i was sad that they discountined kitchen food and focused on bbq....

    Nice spread

We came on a Saturday night and had a reservation. The restaurant became quite busy but was a lot of fun and the food was excellent. The ribeye and the bulgogi were excellent and enjoyed our sake with dinner. I would definitely come here when in the mood for Korean BBQ.

Definitely the best Korean barbecue grill I've ever tried! I would recommend to everyone looking for good quality meat, friendly and accommodating staff, and unlimited side dishes! We have been coming here with family, friends, and coworkers and always a good time. We love this place and the staff who are always helpful and make sure our dinner is great! Super delicious food and worth it!

Korean grill that is the most similar to what you can get in Korea. Meat is super fresh and hand selected by the owners from local butcher shop(s). Don't get marinated meat, not because it is bad, but because their unmarinated kalbi is a must get. Also the only Korean bbq that knows how to really treat mountain tripe. Free rib tip side dishes between Friday to Sunday. The place is not fancy, but what kbbq should actually be. The service? It's Korean owned, you ask if you need something instead of asking them to come to you.

This restaurant definitely hits the spot when craving for Korean bbq. I even love the soup as well. We ordered a few different meats and when everything came out along with our side dishes, we weren't sure if it was too much...our table was filled!! Everything from the side dishes, appetizers, grilling our meats, the soup was so good!! I left there with a happy and full stomach. I was definitely satisfied with everything that we ordered.

Will they host a party of 20-30 people?

During this time only half the restaurant is open due to construction so there is limited seating. Once the construction is over then should be able to accommodate larger parties.

    Are the side dishes unlimited?

    Yes

Is this all you can eat?

No. Order your meal from the menu.

Is there anything served here which has no meat, or fish, or animal broth/sauce for those who are vegans?

Yes. Lots of veggies and tofu

For the hand-cut meats, we tried the brisket and pulled pork. Both were incredibly tender, smoky, and practically melted in your mouth. We also ordered the cornbread and mac and cheese, and both were standout sides. The cornbread was huge, dense, and still perfectly moist. I was a little worried the mac and cheese would be too spicy because of the Hot Cheetos, but it actually had just the right amount of kick. The combination of creamy mac and crunchy Cheetos made it extra flavorful. To finish the meal, we shared a burger, and wow , it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You do have to order at the counter, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations on which meats to try, which made the experience even better.

The catering came on time as expected, and the food was wrapped up tight and neat. We got to try both the sweet and spicy sauce, but I only got the sweet. It was perfectly sweet with a depth of spice that went well with all the meats. The meats we got to enjoy were the smoked slice brisket, smoked ribs, and smoked chicken drumsticks. While the smokiness wasn't Texas level, the brisket was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. The ribs were fine, nothing to complain about. Sadly, I didn't really like the chicken, and even though it was dark meat, it was dry. There were also plenty of sides, salad, and veggies. The sweet potatoes were pretty soggy by the time we enjoyed them, unfortunately. However, the mashed potatoes were crazy buttery which meant it was crazy good. I kept going back for seconds and thirds, eating to my heart's content. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of BBQ at Porky's. Some things were just alright, but I'd definitely recommend the smoked beef brisket and mashed potatoes.

I wanted a brisket sandwich, but they only sell sliders. I'm not a fan of sliders, but it was served as one regular sandwich. I also ordered mac n cheese and cole slaw. The total was $23. After paying, the nice lady said that she could bring my order when it is ready because it was a little chilly outside. Lest than 10 minutes later my order was brought out to my car. The bag had some weight to it. I dug right in and ate right there in my car. I didn't care for the flavor of the brisket sandwich bread. However, the brisket flavor was phenomenal, so savory, and was tender as well. There was more salt than I preferred but not too much to ruin it. It's hard to find good bbq in this area, especially with me being from Texas. In contrast the mac n cheese needed a little help with some salt. Otherwise it hit the spot. The cole slaw tasted good and was more on the sweet side. The meal was far from perfect but I was satisfied.

Seriously! So, imagine my surprise when I found out they had a restaurant on Irving Park Road in Wooddale - and I would occasionally pass it going to and from work! Well, it was time to try it for lunch today. There wasn't a big line of people, but boy did the food smell like barbecue when I walked in! I quickly ordered the two meat combo with chopped brisket and pulled pork. I got the green chili, Mac and cheese as a side, as well as the classic coleslaw. All right - the ambience was just perfect for a small barbecue place. The food came quickly, but I noted it wasn't quite right. I had asked for chopped brisket not sliced brisket. Not a crime against humanity, true, but still I didn't complain and I decided to go ahead and eat it anyway. So how was it? Well, I slathered on sweet rays barbecue sauce, and ate like crazy. The meat was pretty darn good! The green chili mac & cheese was delicious- can't say that the coleslaw was to my taste, but there was nothing wrong with it. The cornbread was fantastic. The only reason for the demerit? Was that I ordered chopped brisket and got sliced. Will I come here again? Yes, yes I think I shall! And I think you should try it too if you like barbecue.
