    Chicken Katsu 3pc Bento

Don't think this place is subpar because it's in a mall. This place is delicious and the servers were wonderful! You get to grind your own sesame paste while you wait for your food. The chicken was crispy and juicy. The pieces were huge! Our server even offered us extra cabbage for our leftovers and extra of the delicious dressing! It's pretty small but you don't feel smushed which is nice!

Come for the pork loin curry. Place is pretty pricey and this feels like the best value. Pork is fatty. Curry is spicy. And you get unlimited cabbage. Teishoku was fine but the side veges weren't too good so might as well get curry instead

My nephew introduced me to Koromo for their delicious Tonkatsu. The Tonkatsu here at Koromo is crunchy and juicy. It comes with rice and cabbage. The service was mediocre and considering the prices are on the high end.

First time for me eating here. My son, his wife and my grandson wanted us to join them for dinner. I had the Pork katsu with choke cabbage. And btw Free refill oncabbage. Overpriced for one thing. 8oz what you see with the cabbage - Kim chi and miso soup is $32.00. I think little overpriced. 4 adults with a coupon of 50% off second meal. $125.00 total Oh and 1 drink which was $11.00 So again if you want to spend $$& on what I feel you can get elsewhere for half that cost. Then Koromo is for you. I think this is the first and last time for me. Food taste the same as L & L .

We walked in around 430pm on a weekday and were seated right away. I decided I wanted to eat here for my birthday and they didn't disappoint! The ambience is cozy and small but not uncomfortable by any means. The server/bartender was very efficient and friendly. You could tell he was working hard running around everywhere. We were joking with him that he was doing everything! I really enjoyed the ebi fry and Katsu. I actually enjoyed the Ebi Fry more than the Katsu with that tartar sauce! Love the different Katsu sauce and dressings they provide with the shredded cabbage. The quality of rice was also pretty good! We ordered the Kushi Katsu veggies but I think I will pass on that next time. For some reason, it tasted way greasier than the Katsu and ebi fry. The chicken and Negi Kushi Katsu was so good, though! I'll be back again, enjoyed coming here. I believe they take reservations which I would recommend because it started getting packed right around 530pm.

Been there about 4 times in 2 months! The food is excellent. The restaurant is small and quiet. Not busy at all. Reservations recommended. The servers are friendly. Prices are reasonable. Location is great! Going back again for Mother's Day!

Ebi fry and pork loin katsu

I really enjoy this place for a comforting meal! The two times I came here it was pretty early so didn't have to wait for a table. For my most recent visit, I ordered the ebi fry and pork loin katsu. Both the ebi fry and pork loin were crispy yet moist on the inside. I also like it with the sauce that you get to make by grinding the sesame seeds. The cabbage with the dressing is a nice addition for some freshness! We also ordered some kushi-katsu on the side such as zucchini, Maui onion, soft shell crab and a beef and chicken one. They were all pretty good but a bit pricey for one stick each. Overall, a filling meal with some leftovers if you order kushi-katsu in addition to your entree. Service was good and food comes out pretty fast. I do recommend Koromo for a nice meal out in the Aiea/Pearlridge area!

Lunch special curry with chicken & oysters

Been here 2 times and both times have enjoyed the food and service. The first time was during their happy hour so I tried a lot of the kushi katsu items. Most recent was during lunch time so I tried their lunch menu. I ordered the lunch special of curry w/ chicken & either 1 piece shrimp or 2 pieces of oyster. I ordered the oyster this time. The portion size was good for me since I wasn't super hungry but if you are hungry I recommend getting the regular size. I also ordered the shishito pepper kushikatsu which was ok. Expensive for the price. My meal did come with cabbage salad, there are 2 dressings. Our server gave us more cabbage too. My husband got the ebi curry and he really enjoyed it. The curry has a little bit of a kick but we loved it. The shrimp was better than the oysters. My in-laws really enjoyed their meal and were very happy to try this place.

Good food but very slow service. It took about 30 min from ordering to being served food. Be prepared to wait if you come during rush hour.

This place can get crowded, and the wait time can be long, but it's definitely worth it. The all-you-can-eat cabbage is ono, and the dressing goes perfectly with it. I usually substitute the cabbage for rice, and it never disappoints. You also get to pound your own sesame seeds for the katsu sauce, which makes the meal an experience in itself. The staff is courteous and keeps everything running smoothly.

Lunch special was a great deal! Each of our lunch specials was around $16 and we all left very happy and full. The curry was delicious and had a small hint of spice to it, which we thought was very tasty. The katsu was crispy and not too greasy and every order came with a nice crisp cabbage salad with unlimited refills. The tonkatsu set comes with sesame seeds for you to grind and mix with tonkatsu sauce; the curry sets do not (nor do they need it). They also brought us initial plates of cabbage salad while we were waiting for the food to come out of the kitchen. We came in on Saturday and service was very friendly! Located in pearlridge downtown with plenty of mall parking available.

    Lunch menu - tonkatsu

Catching up with the recent Kdramas on Netflix had me craving tonkatsu. Been wanting to try Koromo for a while now and this did satisfy the craving. Super convenient as it is at Pearlridge mall - phase 2 (they keep changing the name) parking entrance. We did get there around lunch time so we did have a 20-min wait which was fine as my sister had a few minutes to shop at the Korean skincare store. Before giving my phone number to get on the waitlist, we did notice there were tables outside and also counter seating but for some reason, those sections weren't open. And honestly, because of the Kdrama series I just finished, I wanted to sit at the counter. And so we waited 20-mins. Our server was super sweet and attentive and answered our questions. Even for the weekend, the lunch menu is available which is good because it is less expensive and it's a half portion. No leftovers to carry around while shopping. My pork katsu was cooked perfectly, moist and soft. Many other places will over cook it and just too hard to cut into and eat. My sister enjoyed her chicken and shrimp curry katsu. And the veggie katsu skewers also very good. It was fresh when it arrived. Not oily and not burning hot. But do be careful biting into the mushroom, it's juicy. The restaurant is super cute. Love the different woods used and resembles what one would see in Japan. All-in-all a satisfying experience.

Food is excellent! Service friendly and efficient. Only bummer? They close early! Pandemic has really thrown a wrench into many things and unfortunately restaurant hours are one of them. Lunch specials Tonkatsu pork loin it was. Crispy, juicy, moist, so good. That cabbage salad always so good and simple. No crowds and service attentive!

Our waitress seemed far more focused on celebrating her birthday than actually doing her job. It showed. Orders were inconsistent and poorly handled. I ordered mozzarella sticks and chicken wings, and someone else in my party who ordered wings after me received their food first. It got worse. When the mozzarella sticks finally came out, the waitress took them to a completely different table--people who arrived after us. At that point, I had to track down another waitress just to figure out what was going on. To her credit, she stepped up, apologized, and comped both the mozzarella sticks and the chicken wings. She was the only bright spot in the whole experience. Then came the bill. It was loaded with items I never ordered. I pointed it out, and the same helpful waitress said she would fix it. She brought back a corrected bill for around $7, then later returned again with another version around $8 or $9. It seemed resolved at the time. But the next morning, I checked my bank account and saw that I was charged the full amount anyway. Between the inattentive service, incorrect food delivery, billing errors, and now being overcharged, this was a complete miss. The only reason this isn't a one-line review is because one staff member actually tried to make things right--but unfortunately, that wasn't enough to fix everything else that went wrong. I'd recommend double-checking your bill here... and honestly, considering going somewhere else.
