    Pastrami on rye is delicious

The most amazing sandwiches ever! They have so much yummy meat in them. No frills & order at the counter but quality is the key. We will be back!

    Corned Beef with Fries
    Mike N.

Laguna Hills, Ca. Upon entering I saw that the line to order was 6 customers. I just left but soon found the other two eateries in this shopping center had much longer waits so I came back after about 15 minutes and the line had not moved at all. I decided to be patient and stood in line. Eventually the line moved at a decent pace even if on the slow side. The two gentlemen doing all the prep and waiting on customers were very fastidious and professional. I ordered corned beef on rye which came to my table hot. It was an impressive one inch thick stack of corned beef. The only downsides to this sandwich was the physical size of the rye bread which was very small so the thick stack of corned beef rapidly tapered off to a minimum. The other downside was that the corned beef was much more chewy than what I like. It was thinly sliced to try to account for this imperfection but failed. Unless you have very sharp incisors, when you bite in, a large amount of meat comes dragging out. I really don't care for that, never have, never will. I was expecting the beef to have a bit more brine to the taste as well as a bit more cooked, but it was decent and I did indeed eat it all. The rye bread, while tiny was excellent with great flavor. I think overall it is not an $18 sandwich. The fries are awesome and you get a lot of them. They use large potatoes when cutting so some of the fries are 8 inches long. Not at all greasy or oily, very nice. Upon returning on another day, the wait time was well over 30 minutes. You will have to decide if the food is worth it. Today I tried the Rueben. It was very good. The corned beef today was tender and moist. The sour kraut was excellent, tasted home made but could have been out of a jar, I don't know. The rye bread is the same tiny size as used on the corned beef Sammy, making for an expensive sandwich. The amount of meat makes up for it a bit, for lunch it is a good portion. No fries today, the "Machine" is broken. The bag of chips was ok but not a perfect substitute. The gelato bar was totally meh. Almost no flavor at all. I'm not too keen on trying a different flavor. Upon opening the wrapper I found the bar covered in freezer ice, like it had been in there for a long time. Yuck. On a third visit I found the brisket on rye to be excellent. Very good flavor and plenty of meat. I tried another gelato bar and found the variety with chocolate had good flavor and not tasteless as the dolce leche was. However, this bar also had freezer frost. On yet another visit I had the pastrami. It was a generous heap of pastrami on the same small rye. I'm getting accustomed to that now. The pastrami was just a bit too fatty for my liking but it was delicious and surprisingly tender. Today's gelato bar will be my last one, I now know they all probably have freezer burn. The texture is altered also, the bars have been thawed and refrozen. Avoid.

    Pastrami on French roll

Was craving a pastrami sandwich so I looked for a place on Yelp and saw that Kosher Bite was nearby. Ordered a pastrami sandwich on a french roll with side of French fries. Costed about $15 total. It came out not too long after ordering and it looked delicious. Was a bit disappointed with the portion size but it is what it is. However, the sandwich did not disappoint - one of the better pastrami sandwiches in the OC. Will definitely come back in the future when I'm in the area and I need to satisfy my craving for a good pastrami sandwich.

My brother and sister in law as visiting from out of state for the holidays and felt like a good Depot pastrami sandwich. After searching Yelp we came across Kosher Bite and thought we would give it a try. We ordered the pastrami on rye, the KB special and the tuna salad. The sandwiches were very good and the pastrami ?!?!? We will definitely be back for more. The potato salad and macaroni salad were good as well. I only wish they gave you a little more of the sides. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is like your traditional Jewish deli.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was hoping for more pastries and desserts but today the display was fairly limited.

NOTE: This review is written by someone who spent 20 years living in Forest Hills, Queens. REVIEW: The knishes at this establishment are just as good, if not better, as those sold in NYC. The original owners, and the current owners. have maintained the Brooklyn essence in their servings.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Food is good, workers are very nice and I like the atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've come here a couple times for lunch and for work only thing I'd say they slack a little in is organization seems to be very hectic when they get busy so orders gets mixed up, it happens but this is the third time I ask for no tomatoes and I was given tomatoes, I'm also pretty sure they looked at the ticket and since it was already assembled just left it in:( [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm really sad cause I hate tomatoes and it upsets my stomach, I also wish they toasted the bread or at least I don't know if they do but overall the place is a nice spot for deli and the staff is very friendly[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Brisket on rye
    Sam C.

Not for me. I ordered a brisket sandwich on rye, and the counter guy pulled a heal of brisket out of the refrigerator and made my sandwich. It was not fresh, and dry as hell. The coleslaw and pickle were OK, but I don't think this place does the volume for enough turnover. 3 stars, ONLY because if you are looking for a kosher spot, it might be for you. I'll go to Benjie's in Tustin instead.

Kid-friendly with coloring books and available high chair.

Ordered the Gene sandwich and lox bagel. They source their lox straight from Brooklyn! This place is THE place for regulars and for those seeking a bite from New York. Service was quick and personable. A true hidden gem

Cornbeef is my favorite so far. Next visit will have to try the hotdog.

I give EMUNA my Biggest Thumbs zip and Gratitude ! I am so…read moreamazed by Edmuna and especially John ( who was do caring and understanding at my last moment nite call )! It rare during Passover to find anyone who sells food - not GRUMPY ! I want to share it with the world . Kosher catering is usually acceptable but not beautiful or extremely delicious but I was amazed by everything Emuna and John did for me . I usually do all the cooking on holidays for my family and rely on caterers for things I don't do ie. Defile fish , Matzoh balls etc. However this Passover I had not expect to be in LA, due to commitments in NY so I didn't make big plans for Passover . since my children ( grown and 2 out of 3 married )!!BH At the last minute the thought of not being with my children and granddaughter made me feel very sad . They also kept complaining they would not have my " famous" brisket . With so little time I relied on the kids her butchers I do business and also had to quickly kosher my house etc. A friend recommended Edmuna and I said what do I have to lose ..., the other caterers have been less than exciting and I really was in days of Passover . I called emuna and instantly I knew I was dealing with next level people . As an avid chef and coming from NYC we have so many great options. I found in LA that was not the case. John couldn't commit at first since he was basically done taking orders . I wanted his chef to come to my home and he laughed ( it's a NYC type of option). We spoke so many times over the next 24 hours - and my guest list was growing . At B the very last moment my younger daughter announced we need a birthday cake for her husband ! John I not only accommodated everything but he even did 4 beautiful Seder plates for me . I kept changing and adding things until the last moment . When the food arrived I expected and believed it would be good but to my utter shock IT WAS BEYOND AMAZING !!! It didn't present or taste like the kosher catering I have experienced over my life. Everything was beautiful, fresh beyond belief , done exactly to my requirement and tasted as if I had a secret Michelin starred chef in my kitchen !! I think EMUNA is exactly as definition !!! I will never use another caterer and I'm the future I will feel so comfortable putting more of the food load on Emuna and really enjoying my family! I can't recommend EMUNA enough and I am a very difficult customer to amaze when it comes to food ! I work with all the top chef's and restaurateurs plus I am a cook myself but Emuna went above and beyond and you see, taste and feel the love for what they do and the customer's enjoyment ! I give EMUNA a 6 STAR B review on a scale of 1-5 ! I am so lucky to have happened upon them and I know this is the beginning of a very long relationship . I love Emuna and if you like beautiful , delicious , "home cooked" food you will too! There are no words to say how amazing they are and I feel I was so blessed and from my last minutes panic and attention to detail this relationship was meant to be !!! Food !!! Care !!Attention to detail!!!
