Making this one of my go-to places! Amazing soup, the best gyro meat in town, and love the baklava !

we haven't had lunch here in gosh I don't know how long. But we won't wait that long to come again. Food was very good and service was beyond excellence. Our server, whose name unfortunately I did not get, could not have been nicer and more accommodating for a few extras we asked for. Definitely recommend.

Went for an early dinner and was not disappointed!! First time here and Donna gave us great suggestions, best Gyro i've ever had. Will be back!

Local favorite this side of Athens. Server had been there a minute. Highly recommend the Saganaki ( cheese they light on fire), spanikopita, dolmas, any of the dips, or Avgolemeno to start. Entree is up to you! Plenty of seafood (see the sign by the host's station), chicken, and meat options. We enjoyed the baklava for dessert. The music ranged from 2010's pop to Greek dance standards. Plenty of parking around the resto. It's an intimate place. Pending the time, you might want to call ahead and make reservations. Opa!

Delicious Greek / Mediterranean food off Greenville. I live pretty close to Kostas' and have actually been once years ago. I always forget about this spot as it is an unassuming standalone blue building off Greenville. Upon entering, you quickly realize that the exterior scene does not match the interior! On the outside the building appears a little run down. But on the inside, diners are treated to a small piece of Greece! Blues and whites along with very well appointed tables. The hosts are super friendly. I came for lunch with a friend and we had a great time. We started with the calamari. It was super tasty and not overcooked / rubbery like a lot of places. One unique thing is it was served with some kind of butter sauce instead of the usual marinara. We then each got gyro dishes. I got the gyro platter with a side salad and my friend got the gyro salad. Both were served with thinly sliced gyro meat. The meat itself was flavorful and super tasty. Not like the thicker, almost crispy stuff you get at other more casual Greek style spots. The salads were also delicious. Doused in some kind of house dressy they were not creamy so still tasted healthy! All in all Kostas is a great spot in the area that I need to stop passing over!

This food is amazing! Some of the best greek food around. Service is great, makes you feel right at home. The vibe of this restaurant is great and you feel cozy knowing it's family owned. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting authentic greek food!

If you want traditional Greek food, then go to Kostas Cafe! This long standing restaurant brings authentic Greek culture and cuisine all the way from Greece to Dallas. The food tastes mouthwateringly good with bold flavors and the chefs cook everything to perfection! Our group ordered take out but upon going to the restaurant to pick up our order, we enjoyed fast and friendly service as well as a lovely traditional Greek dance performance. I did not take a picture of everything we ordered but, it all looked and tasted wonderful!

Found out about Kostas via TIKTOK and wow. To start Donna is so sweet and immediately sat us. We ended up ordering the Kostas for two, and the soup was my FAVORITE. So thankful I tried it. The sagnaki and tzatziki was delicious. Now for the main course, the shrimp was cooked perfectly! The lamb lollipops were DELICIOUS. Along with the chicken and beef! Nothing missed, all the flavor was here. We Will absolutely be back!

Two Stars. Both from the Truffle Fries…read more This place really broke my heart. I love this area and the beautiful Crescent complex. Word of mouth and Yelp have sang praises so we finally made it happen. The lead up is insane. Park under the building, take an elevator up, walk through the beautiful alcove and there it is - Sixty Vines. Swanky, dark, and sultry - a bit much for my taste, but I get the idea. Our waiter was nice, but could not get wine to our table. Like - acted as if there was some Harry Potter issue going on, just could not get wine to our table. And I know that's a lot to ask, but also shouldn't be, considering it's a wine bar. The place was dead - 5 PM on a Monday and he even prefaced by saying as much, and suggesting we try a few, but every time we'd order a glass, or heaven-forbid a flight, he'd disappear for literally a half hour. I get that people get busy, but wine at a wine bar just feels easy. We had the zucchini and the truffle fries - they genuinely banged. Zucchini could've used a little more love and care, but the fries were crazy. I could've eaten them all night. Had a few great wines too, but again, crazy how long it took to get to my table - and I could see the taps! No one was busy. Real Bummer. I told him several times to bring some red before my main so I could enjoy something dark with the red sauce, and low-and-be-freaking-hold, I finished my BRAISED PORK with a Sauvignon Blanc. Did I do something to offend? Was I being punished? IDK. The Braised Pork Pappardelle and the shrimp-garlic pasta thing was fine. The shrimp one being really garlicky - probably a bit too much. For some fu**a** reason, they both came to our table on the colder side, again, why? We literally had plans to go through a few reds and bubbles, but after two hours of this, we said "let's leave". So we paid and bounced. It's a fine place, I guess, it just really flopped for us. James T. put it nicely, "So middle of the road, absolutely and unmistakably average." Just hurts after months of this place being talked up, getting a baby sitter, driving an hour, and dropping $150 for this place to miss the mark. If service was better this could've been a 3-4 star review. Really makes a difference. I'll be at Hudson House & Barcelona Wine Bar if you need me. MGMT: Figure the service out - please. I'd be happy to try again, but I need to know my food will be hot and the wine will flow - again, it is a wine bar after all.

I visited Waters Edge with my family this past weekend before we went to a movie at the Drafthouse…read more(just across the parking lot), and we had a good time! Waters Edge is a winery and a bistro - so you can come for drinks or a meal or both. We were told that they make all of the wines on their menu, of which there are dozens of wines on their menu. I've been to a few urban wineries before, and it's an interesting concept. Waters Edge buys grape must (crushed grapes) from around the world and then craft and bottle wines made from that must at their locations (this Dallas location is one of 15 across the country). Wanting to try a few of their wines, the four of us shared two flights of five wines each. We tried the Tour of Armenia and Alec's Flight (a rotating selection of wines by their winemaker). Did I like every wine? No. But I thought most of them were pretty good. Personally, I'm not sure they need to make this many wines; I'll always prefer a business that does ten things well than fifty things fine (the Cheesecake Factory rule). But most of the wines were pretty nice (of the 10 I tried, I wouldn't drink 3 or 4 but wouldn't mind drinking the rest again). I appreciated that many of their wines are Armenian style, because I haven't had much opportunity to try Armenian wines. We also ordered a few snacks - they have a full food menu. We shared their Deviled Egg of the Month (2 eggs - 4 halves) and their Cheese is Life Board (two cheeses, hot honey, giardiniera, and crispy flatbread), which were both good snacks. They've been open just under a year, but the place doesn't feel quite lived in yet. The dining room has a large room divider in it, set up like a bookshelf. It has books and card/trivia games about wine and more. But many of these items were still wrapped in plastic, making it feel a little impersonal. The service was good, and it's a comfortable place to spend a couple of hours! The food we had was pretty good. The wines in my opinion are just okay - probably not the spot to take a wine snob on a date. But they have a large variety of wines, so you're likely to find one or many that you like. Not a bad place to spend some time if you're in the neighborhood!

I have driven by this place no less than a thousand times and have lived in Dallas over the course…read moreof probably about 15 years. Ironically, I've actually never been inside. Until this past weekend. We went in for my partner's birthday, and I'm sure glad we did. They normally don't like rich desserts or cakes, but they love pretty nice, high end dark chocolates. Chocolate Secrets did not disappoint. We arrived with our family, including two little ones in tow. They actually treated our kids with such love and care. It was slightly understaffed, but even then the service was excellent. We ended up taking a box of nine chocolates to go. Pro tip: they also host jazz nights on most nights. It also seems like a really cool spot for hosting events. My favorite so far was the Yes Yes Yes Truffle. It has milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate. All in all, a Dallas institution that I'm so glad I went to.

I had a craving for ice cream and was surprised when this place came up in my Google search…read more I had already bookmarked it for jazz night / poetry night, and I knew that they sold chocolate, but I had no idea they had ice cream as well. So I decided to swing by. It was a great decision because their house made pistachio ice cream is the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had anywhere in the world. Pistachio is one of my favorite flavors, and this was simply the best. Chock full of pistachios. The perfect balance of sweet with just a pinch of saltiness. Creamy and delicious and just the absolute perfect treat for a 105° day. Unfortunately, I didn't stay as long as I would have liked because when I first walked in I was greeted with the stench of mildew. I'm not sure if they had some sort of water intrusion event recently, but but there was a strong musty mildew smell soon as I walked through the door. In addition to the ice cream, I also bought some chocolate covered mango and apricot but I ended up taking that to go because I couldn't deal with the smell any longer. I tried my chocolate covered treats when I got home but unfortunately the chocolate just didn't have any taste. None whatsoever. It was rather disappointing. The staff was kind and friendly and welcoming so I appreciated that, and while my visit was much shorter than I anticipated, I would come back for a (quick!) couple scoops of that pistachio ice cream.
