Feb 2026 review Came in on a Saturday at noon. It was completely empty! I stood at the register to be seated for about 5 mins. I called out several times and finally a server came out and sat me. He had his AirPods in so that's probably why he didn't hear me. I asked if they had Tsukemen style and he said yes. He dropped off a menu (seemed very annoyed) and I ordered. I went to order the Tsukemen and he said they don't have it. WTF!? I just asked before I sat down! So, quick pivot and I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. The chef delivered some chicken karage and my soup. Chef was super friendly. The chicken was fine. Nothing special. I noticed my ramen didn't have any pork chashu in it (menu pic shows meat!). I've been to the kosuke in Alhambra many times and was surprised to see one in Ontario. The ramen quality is the same, such rich and not too overwhelmingly heavy broth. The noodle is cooked to a nice slightly al dente texture. My favorite is the veggie ramen and spicy miso. Both are uniquely delicious! My coworkers and I like to come here during lunch time because of how quick the service is and how high quality the food is. The highlight of the menu is definitely the chicken katsu curry. Came here for dinner, which had a convenient location right next to the Ontario Mills, and there was no wait, though the inside area is small. I had the Tonkotsu ramen, and also split the chicken karaage and had a bit of the miso ramen as well. The tonkotsu is not bad, I like that there were four slice of meat, more than many other ramen places. I didnt like that the slab of ginger in there changing the flavor of the soup, or that the half egg's yolk was a bit overdone, but the flavor of the soup and the ramen noodles, and the pork is not bad. Same with the miso soup pork, and I liked how there was a lot of green onions in that one. I also liked how many pieces of chicken were in the chicken karaage. The generous portion of chicken was fried well and was juicy on the inside. The main problem is that the flavor is one note. The togarashi style seasoning was the only seasoning. The ramen looked great and the appearance reminded me of tantanmen. But like the chicken, the only flavor was togarashi. The noodles were bland and slightly overcooked and the broth had no depth of flavor, actually it tasted like it had no flavor at all as the heat from the one note spice choice overpowered any semblance of flavor. I used to drive to their Alhambra location just to have it & I was so happy when they opened a new location in Ontario, which is so much closer to the city I live in. I've dine in 2x & the place has been clean & the service has been superb. I mostly order to go & never have any complaints. The portions are very generous.
