We had the croquettes, they were great but nothing special you could get the same thing or better at just about any Cuban bakery in the area and for half the price. So we decided to venture out last moment and had recently read about the new restaurant KOW in my neck of the woods. We arrived and there was a line of people standing outside waiting to be seated. We gathered that on a Friday night this would be the case. However, to our delight the bar was available and we sat to eat there and forego the wait. We were greeted by Bettania, she was very friendly and gave us a introduction to the concept of the restaurant. The menu is designed to be a trip around the world with you exploring and partaking in different cuisines. She recommended a Cabernet and we ordered a bottle. It was very good. Bettania proceeded to explain the menu and with her help, we opted for the lasagna, hoisin wings, French onion soup, and the tequepops. The wings were brought out first and the flavor of the Asian sauce was on point. The Lasagna had bits of sweet plantains, with ragú beef and bechamel. This was my favorite plate. The tequepops were little round stuffed bread with cheese served warm with a guava sauce. (I particularly did not love the guava sauce) but this would be based on my preference). I will tell you the service was impeccable. Our server was attentive throughout the meal and we were impressed with her bright demeanor. On a side note, I was amused by the small water glasses. I thought it was a cute concept and there is a water bottle at reach for refills if needed. The highlight of the night was the tiramisu, served in a cafetera, with a side of ice cream and two señorita cookies which you pour espresso on top. It was delicious. My fiancé and I have been coming here for a few months. We've tried quite a few things in their menus and I have nothing bad to say about any of them. We absolutely loved the nachos, they actually put the meat in between the nachos. The happy hour is amazing and the service has always been wonderful and friendly. This place, from the same group as Boca's Grill/House is I think quite overrated. Went with a group of 6 so I was able to try a few different things. A lot of the food had basically the same taste. Pasta dishes were a bit overcooked and certainly not what I'd recommend ordering here. The hummus tasted like regular hummus despite the "Instagram friendly" presentation and the pita bread ended up tasting like smoke and not in a good way. Not great vegetarian or vegan options. Last night was our first time dining out after the Covid-19 lockdown was lifted. Our experience at KOW was amazing. Our waiter, Luis was very knowledgeable on the menu options and also maintained professional and used all safety measures. Even though seeing everyone with a mask feels strange, it did provide a sense of safety and we really enjoyed our dinner. The food was AMAZING!!!!! Amazing! We wanted to try a little bit of everything, and with a party of four it was easy! We started with the Burrata sampler and Tequenitos -- both delicious! You just can't go wrong with guava! For entrees, we had the bone-in ribeye (cooked perfectly), lasagna (with white sauce and maduros perfectly replacing more traditional ingredients), shrimp noodles (also yum) and ramen (with a light tomato base). So as I previously mentioned in my original review I wanted to give KOW another opportunity. I'm very glad I did so. We arrived and were greeted at the entrance. My son was given a sheet to draw on (anyone with a toddler can understand how important that is) once again their food is beyond words. My wife got the Churrasco which was better, in every sense regarding flavor and tenderness than some restaurants known for steaks so a definite plus right there. The Tequepops i mean what's not to love about fried dough filled with cheese served with a spicy guava marmalade delicious. I was in between 2 dishes and our server Andrea which was very attentive I must say, gave me her recommendation and I took it. I honestly did not expect what I received (in a great way). I got the short rib raviolis and HOLY KOW, see what I did there . One of the best raviolis I've had. They are not shy on their stuffing of the ravioli and the meat flavor was amazing, the sauce served with it may look watery in the picture however the picture does not do it justice. It's a cream based sauce, hearty, delicious, full of flavor and filling. KOW has won me over just as I thought they could. read more

I ordered the fettuccine with chicken tenders which was so yummy and my husband had the skirt steak with gallo pinto and truffle fries. wow..... this was probably the worst restaurant i have ever been to. when i say bad... bad. i'm a sucker for new restaurants so i was excited to see one open up around this area and rather than downtown or brickell. the restaurant has a cool concept of that makes you feel like you're in the airport waiting for your flight. the way the staff was dressed and the ambiance of it all makes it really feel like me and my friend were in MIA. now to the staff, the BEST thing of this play was the busboy Marc. he was the best thing that happened to us that night! he was so kind and sweet and tended to us as if he was our waiter. besides that, me and friend never saw our waitress, only twice. other staff were all talking by the front and anytime we needed something they wouldn't pay attention but Marc was there to save the day! now to the food.... i will pretty much eat anything but wow wow wow me and my friend couldn't finish our food. she had the salmon and i had the lasagna and us both had 3 bites each and that's it and because we never saw our waitress we couldn't ask to switch our items and by the time we saw her they were already closing so the kitchen was getting cleaned up. i didn't even want to pay for the meal, it was just a poor experience. read more

Our waiter William was very knowledgeable with the menu, very attentive, and provided great service. The coconut lemonade is a must try. The food came out quick and hot. Went to this place and I gotta say it's pretty good. I was originally looking for Korean or Japanese food but came upon this in an ad on FB.
