If you're going to go by yourself, don't waste your time they will seat you and never come help you. I waited 20 minutes before I walked out I have a five minute rule thought I would give it 20 minutes still nothing foods good but you have to be willing to wait forever. Typical El Paso restaurant. Really great food. Compared to Hayashai this place is way better! The NY steak and chicken are my favorite. I've been searching for good Japanese food since moving to EP and this place is it. I've had better Japanese food in other parts of the world but for EP this place is really good. read more

we went there with friends from work for a double date night. Its pretty standard Teppan. The chef did a great job and was very interactive and fun. The food was good and i have no complaints on it. I got scallops and chicken, my husband got shrimp and chicken. The only downside to me was the size of the sushi rolls. For the price they are way to small, i guess that's what happens when you order sushi from a mostly teppan restaurant. read more

I love this place and come here weekly. Food is good and wait staff is attentive. But don't think you can get a grill seat without a reservation even though the place is empty. On the weekends you definitely need a reservation, obviously, because the place is packed. But I was extremely disappointed to walk in on week night only to hear I would have to wait forty five minutes for a grill seat, even though the place was empty and they acknowledged having two grill chefs on duty. They wouldn't sit my family and I apparently because they didn't think they would fill the grill. Profits over patrons, not a good method to keep the latter. read more

Our server was polite and professional. Kept the drinks full and attended us regularly. Our cook was very entertaining. He ensured our food was correct and cooked to the way we liked it. Over all the food is a little pricy, but if your entertaining guests or trying to set up a special date than this is the place to be. The quantity of food is enormous. I barely finished mine and my date didn't finish but half of hers. I wanted dessert but didn't have room. We didn't order any appetizers. Over all there is not much to improve on. The food was good, but that's about where the positive ends. The front door is small and awkward with hardly any indication that it is the entrance. It was a friends birthday and we brought a cake secretly for her, they were nice enough to keep it refrigerated for us but they blew the surprise by asking us a question about it right in front of the birthday girl. When they brought it out, they didn't supply enough forks or plates and completely forgot a knife. Then there was a long awkward wait for our bills. It's quite common these days to split bills so hey should be prepared for that sort of thing. They had 3 different people come out to try to sort out the order, basically taking our orders again AFTER we ate it. We could have told them anything. 50 minutes after eating we finally paid our bills and ran out of there. I may give the west side sunland park location a try but will avoid this one at all costs. read more

To me nothing beats the quality and quantity of this amazing place. The show the cooks give you plus the experience of good Japanese beer and sake served warm or cold. Great place to take your family but probably not for todlers. It's a little pricy yes but with this place you truly get what you pay for. I'll recommend this place a thousand times over . Was on a business trip to El Paso, and found this place on yelp. Dropped in for dinner. The Yakatori was simply amazing as was the sushi and Green Tea ice ream. Good ambience. I sat at the bar. I hate this place. Because now that I've found it I see myself spending way too much money here! A friend and I decided to try it randomly and were SO pleasantly surprised. We were scared when we saw some of the menu prices but decided to try for a few smaller things and sample several things since we'd never been here. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and it was EXCELLENT. Not a huge portion but just enough for myself especially since I also ordered the gyoza. The shrimp were on the side and had been cooked with lots of lemon which I LOVE and the rice was cooked perfectly. The gyoza was a little different because it is covered in mozzarella cheese! But they were very tasty! My friend ordered the chicken skewer, a California roll and the calamari fritters. The California roll tasted SO FRESH! It was absolutely perfect. The calamari fritters were cooked perfectly and not tough at all. Her chicken skewer was also delicious and the chicken was wonderfully moist! The service here was also really good, very attentive, never had an empty water glass. We will DEFINITELY be back. read more

Fantastic service, great drinks, delicious sushi and teppan entrees. Koze East is the go- to sushi restaurant for my fiancé and I. We have definitely become regulars here. The servers are prompt and friendly. I like to drink mojitos, but don't like them too sweet; the bartenders here take this into account when I order and adjust the proportions of the drink accordingly. There is a large variety of sushi here-- everything from traditional sashimi and nigiri to fun, modern rolls. I find that this means that Koze is able to effectively cater to a large variety of tastes (I have brought groups of 8 or more friends here, all with very different dining preferences, and they have all been very satisfied with their experiences). The teppan entrees are delicious and very large. You definitely get a good deal on the food, price-wise. I have never left from a dinner at the teppan without a box of leftovers. One note, though, is that when they "spicy" they really do mean it. Specifically, I am thinking of the Hot Mama Roll, which was too spicy for my fiancé and I. However, as soon as we indicated that it wasn't quite to our taste, the server apologized and replaced the roll with something more along the lines of the rest of the rolls we ordered (all of which we LOVED!). All in all, I would recommend Koze East over almost any other sushi joint in El Paso, and I would DEFINITELY recommend them over any other hibachi or teppan style restaurant. read more

No parking ended up parking on the other side of the building. Made a reservation and still waited 35 min to be seated. This restaurant is so cramped you pretty much have to squeeze yourself to try to get out. A table on the grill will seat about 8 persons comfortably but they will squeeze12 people on one table if they have too which you will not be comfortable or happy . Had to hunt for our waitress 3 times to get us refills. The soup and salad were just ok not my favorite. Sushi was pretty good. Food was good too except they need to work on their fried rice. They brought me half a spoon of ice cream on an enormous platter for my birthday day which i thought was pretty weird places like this should do a full dessert i mean my check was only $265. It upset me that there was no diaper changer in the womens restroom had to go change my baby in my car. Other than that we did enjoy ourselves. Its not a bad place at all just letting u guy's know what to expect. read more
