A small clean Kozo sushi located in moilili, this used to be my favorite sushi spot growing up. Moving away from town, I only visit this location when I'm in the area. The service was good, not long wait time as I was the only person, I love their cone sushi. The tuna roll was fishy smelling and the spicy poke bowl was nearly as good as the Kozo Windward city. Lots of selection to choose from this location unlike the one at Windward city.

Our got to hand roll sushi. My kids love this place. Great for snacks, air plane snacks, after workout snacks, lunch and takeouts. Our favorites: spam roll, California roll, and chicken Katz roll. They do have a great selection of sushi and sushi platters as well as takeout mini, bowls and regular plates lunch.

This was my first time at this location . The sushi was the standard Kozo fair. I'm taking off a star because of poor sevice. I entered the store, and there was a lady working. She looked up at me and continued doing what she was doing. I got closer to the register, and she glanced at me and continued to work, not saying anything to me. Anther customer came in, and she stopped and asked me what I wanted. The other customer that came in did not get any acknowledgment . A couple of minutes later, she finally took his order. Hope this was the exception Enjoy

Sushi my way fast! That's what my OG Kozo Sushi has always been. Gosh it takes me back to the days when I'd visit a family friend who'd always host the ultimate party gathering which was my dad's best friend and would always be so generously kind in every way. Mom would always make somethings that she knows they love but in addition pick up the platter from Kozo Sushi. Fast forward to their insane menu they have as it expanded to bowls, udon and even a make your own plate combo is quite mind boggling though I still do love their classic sushi as it's the nostalgia I've grown to love and is still the same in my opinion and knowing that I can walk in and get my order done the way I like is the best and they are very fast making it all to order. This location is in the Old Stadium Square so parking can be quite a challenge at times but I never really have problems finding a stall if any with a tiny bit of patience. The shop is quite small and nope no seating whatsoever though the vibe here is nice just a grab and go place is really what this locations is. Thank you!

Very respectable and polite sushi stop, as are all the Kozo Sushi's in town. For delivery they are very prompt.

Looking for a fast to go bite? Kozo Sushi is the perfect spot for a sushi delight! Waiting for my favorite local Pet Supply Store "Heart of Town" to open, I cruised down King Street looking for a bite to eat! Seeing the friendly Sushi Chef Logo Bowing gracefully over the entrance at 2334 King Street caught my eye and pulling into the parking lot, I decided to check out the menu. Of course The "Don" menu drew me in right away! I decided to go with aSweet Chili Chicken Don Bowl - Great crispy fried chicken with spicy sweet chili covered with green onion & seaweed strips over a bed of sticky rice. Very good (More rice than chicken though) The Udon noodles also looked like a great addition so O got the Udon noodle Sushi Platter with a delightfully arrangement of scrumptious sushi bites. Very good for a quick bite. Counter space seating is small but comfy if you want to dine in. Most orders are placed to go. Call ahead and you will be in and out quickly. Very friendly service. Visa Master Card accepted!

Best deals to order big platters of sushi for family gatherings or for individual indulgence. I had Kozo Sushi platters for two days straight. Oh my. The food tasted better when sharing with others but it was still great when I devoured the (almost) whole platter myself. I ordered this Junior Set plus two pieces of inari through Uber Eats.

I usually go to the one on Keeaumoku by Walmart. However, that one went out of business, so I had to come here. This location is across from Stadium Park, next to Home Sweet Cafe. We picked up one of the Aloha sets for a potluck. It contained 42 pieces of assorted sushi, mostly nigiri. The seafood was fresh. I liked the shrimp nigiri and the ahi nigiri. I called the order in. I got there 10 minutes later and the platter was ready to go.

We came during happy hour this time and I was able to try their Buffalo Fried Chicken Tenders. The buffalo sauce was on the side which was nice since some of us didn't enjoy spicy food/sauces. I of course ordered the specialty pork set which came with cabbage, rice, and miso soup. The cabbage is refillable and definitely a must with the sesame dressing. The staff was great and made sure to check on our table often for any refillables or condiments. Definitely coming back here every time we're in the area.

The service just felt off throughout the meal. They brought out the complementary cabbage to the other two tables, but didn't offer it to us until we were nearly finished with our entrees. Then, when we were ready to order dessert, they gave us the check. We felt like we were being shooed out of the restaurant even though it wasn't like we were lingering over a finished meal. The FOOD, though, was fantastic. The wagyu was absolutely amazing. The tonkatsu was very good, and I can see why so many people describe it as tender, juicy and perfectly crispy. I'm torn on this one. The food was excellent and the wagyu was a standout, but the service made the overall experience much less enjoyable than it should have been.

They release reservations about a month in advance, and I highly recommend booking if you're able to as soon as you can. Even with a reservation, there was still a wait. We arrived around 6:45 PM for our 7 PM reservation and they had already stopped accepting walk ins. We were seated around 7:10 PM, so definitely expect some extra waiting even with a reservation. Once we were seated, though, the food was absolutely worth it. We had the chicken katsu, sizzling miso, minced pork, shrimp and chicken, and a katsu sandwich to go. The chicken katsu was AMAZING and easily the best katsu we had on the island. The sizzling miso was also amazing, and the shrimp and chicken was great. The minced pork was probably our least favorite, but still decent. And the katsu sandwich we took to go was amazing as well. I also really enjoyed the sesame at the table. You grind it yourself and then mix in the sauce, so you get that fresh sesame flavor right before eating. It was a fun little part of the meal and made the whole experience feel more interactive. The only real downside was how cramped the table for two felt once all the dishes, side dishes, sauces, and everything else arrived. There is a lot going on at the table, so there isn't much room to spare. My only real complaint was actually how they handle the waiting area. The space is tiny and was absolutely packed with people waiting to be called. They told us to wait inside, but there was plenty of room outside where people could have waited instead. It would have made the tiny indoor area much less crowded and easier for everyone.

I was able to get in my order immediately. I had ordered kitsune udon with gyoza and tempura shrimp sides. The total is around $16 for anyone who is wondering what price to expect. The quality of the food has been consistent. It's a bit warm inside, but you'll find some good table areas that are cooler. I was disappointed by the service today, especially because there was less people between 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM when I went. The staff had automatically thrown in green onions and tempura flakes, which was not requested. They were just throwing in things without the usual ask they do. Especially, this hurt most when there was a rude lady staff passing out toppings. My family member had kindly requested for green onions a few times, and mind you again, we did not have a line when we entered in, but this lady snickered and ignored her request. I had to sternly request for green onions which eventually happened. The service should not be this way. This is an amazing restaurant, but the experience was utterly ruined from that service experience.

Since it was late, we noticed the back of house staff help the front. Everyone was so friendly and food comes out fast. I could also say portion of some items may not match price, but I understand inflation is increasing at an alarming rate. So I'll leave money out of this. Crushed cucumbers were interesting. We couldn't decide if eating it with chopsticks or spoon was better. With chopsticks, you might not get enough sauce. But you could taste the layers of flavor. With a spoon, you get too much saltiness. The spice hits at the end. The tako karaage were a little too chewy for us. Beef tongue was so tender. A definite must order. I dont think it needs rice though. We also ordered the late night nikumiso but it didn't come with an egg, which the menu said it should. We tried handful more items but we'll be back to try the oxtail items, as it sounds like that's their specialties, but takes extra time to prepare.
