While returning from a family visit in Washington in summer 2025, we took the coastal route and spent a few days in North Bend/Coos Bay where I lived and worked in 1972. Wildflour was recommended by our Air B & B host and it was a wonderful recommendation. The ambiance is casual but the food and service is 5 star plus. Ingredients are sourced locally and prepared in wonderfully unique combinations with tastes that don't just compliment one another but create that "Oh My God" flavor experience. We had heard so many positive comments about Wildflour. I really wanted to like this place, as there are so few good dining options in the Coos Bay/North Bend area. On a positive note we loved the setting, great vibe and wonderful service. We also had great cocktails, the Veneto was amazing. However, when the appetizers came out we were so very disappointed. We had the meatballs and fried burrata. It at first looked like the meatballs had this odd coating on it. But it was just that they were so overcooked and burnt. You literally needed a knife to cut them open and once open they were so dry I couldn't eat anymore. So I was hopeful that the fried burrata would be better. However, it was also over cooked on the outside. But once past the coating the burrata and bread was very good. Our main course came next. We both had the lasagna which came with a small salad that was very light and tasty. The pasta sauce was excellent and full of meat and the portions were very large. Lastly we had dessert and it was the star of the meal. We had a lemon pastry/cake that was delightful. Overall, we were disappointed with the appetizers. But the entrees were very good and dessert was just delightful. We will return to give it another go and hope that our first experience with the appetizers was just a one-off. read more

A hidden gem in North Bend. I've been trying to come to this location for the last two years when visiting family. Finally was able to come the day after Christmas and it didn't disappoint. The vegan options were amazing and plentiful. I was so surprised. I got the tofu dinner and a side vegan Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. Everyone in the party was very satisfied. The service was great and everyone was extremely helpful, especially me being vegan and gluten free and my child having an egg allergy. Great space that's open and pretty. Food.... Was not that great for the price we paid. I got the surf and turf. Steak didn't taste like it was seasoned, shrimp was salty, and the wild rice pilaf was mushy white rice with some flowers. The mushrooms and scallops were good. My husband's market fish cod catch was also salty and his sides were decent (fries could have been coated better). The calamari was good. Chowder was ok. For $170+ dollars it wasn't worth it. We probably will not be headed back to this place. read more

From the moment you walk in and realize the cute play on the word wildflour and then are greeted right away and sat down at a table with fresh flowers you know this is going to be a place you visit again. We had the margarita flight...amazing! And then we had ribeye steak done perfectly paired with frites and out of this world good Brussel sprouts. They make all their desserts in house but you'll probably be too full to eat it there so make sure you get one to go for later. We took German chocolate cake and had it a few hours later...so good. I wish I could give a 4.5. We were able to place a last minute reservation on a Thursday and their new Spring/Summer menu was released. We had steak bites caprese salad for an appetizer and then pasta & meatballs and their halibut dinner. All was delicious! The only complaint we had was timing. Our appetizer was delivered right before our entrees (even though entree order was placed after the appetizer order) and our second round of drinks didn't arrive until we were finished with our meal. My husband and I ate at Wildflour on Saturday, July 5th for my birthday dinner. We arrived early and ate at the bar. After a limoncello cocktail and a G & T, I had the steak frites and my husband had the brisket special. This had traditional slices as well as burnt ends, Mac and cheese, sautéed spinach and cornbread. His portion was big enough to share but it was so tasty he probably wouldn't have wanted to! My steak pieces were cooked perfectly and plated with chunks of goat cheese, radishes and a balsamic drizzle. The frites were on the side. Great food, great service (Lauren), and great atmosphere. We live up the coast a bit and have wanted to return here for a while. We will not take so long to enjoy Wildflour again. read more

Homemade pappardelle(not GF) is dope, and the chicken Parmesan is perfect if only a little on the small side. The chef delivers the meal to your table, which I think is a nice show of ownership. I ordered the choose-your-own-adventure pasta: fresh papardelle with prawns in Alfredo sauce. We ate there for the first time last night. It was excellent! The ribeye steak, steak frites, seafood pasta, and seafood chowder were all outstanding. The menu is incredibly varied, everything from burgers to things I can't pronounce. Service was timely, pleasant, and accurate. Seating was comfortable. Ambiance was pleasant--not too noisy but not stuffy. We were dressed in tee shirts, a sweatshirt, shorts, and we felt appropriately attired. Visiting from Fl to play golf in Bandon and we ate at the bar one night - it was amazing. They have THE BEST French fry flight on the happy hour menu. Really appreciate the time and effort that goes into making those homemade fries. The drinks, other food, and service were amazing too, but I'm smitten with the fries. We really enjoyed this -- it was a great place to have a nice meal to splurge on our vacation. In particular, I was impressed with the halibut fish and chips -- the breading was excellent, and overall flavor and preparation were great. They also had excellent cocktails. And our server was friendly, knowledgable, and generally enthusiastic about the restaurant and her service. If you are looking for a dining experience that is really entertaining with fun ambiance , food that is locally sourced, outstanding service, and really tasty and inventive cocktails, you found your place! We tried several things on the menu and honestly had a hard time deciding what to order. We went with the Steak Frites, the Burrata Board, and a side of candied bacon. Our waitress Joslynn was very helpful in guiding us through our selections, always smiling and made our experience lots of fun. You won't be disappointed with the cocktails either. They were offering a species of fish on the menu that is not available from the local waters by local fishermen. I have fished these waters for years and I nor anyone else I know has caught a red snapper. The only thing even close is some people call yelloweye rockfish red snapper but they are endangered. So the question is, are they selling ground fish and calling it red snapper or are the killing an endangered species? Either way I really don't think the owner's husband did her any favors by coming to our table and getting VERY CLOSE and VERY mad that we wanted to know what we were really eating. He was very angry and acting like a two bit bully. I can't imagine this will last long unless they start being honest about what they are selling and keep the angry husband out of sight. I stand by my previous review. I have eaten at this restaurant twice, and both times my order was wrong and the food was cold and the vegetables were reheated and overcooked. My other experience was a catering order and, unsurprisingly, it was also wrong. The only reason I went back a second time was because it is where the people we were with wanted to go. They are entitled to their opinions, even if it differs from that of my husband's and mine. I do apologize for the comment about the owner's husband. I had no idea who he was. In my view, after the owner unnecessarily caused a scene, some random man with disheveled hair wearing work clothes involved himself in a threatening manner. I had no way of knowing who he was or why he was involving himself in the matter. They have no need to concern themselves with my husband and I wasting our money t this establishment again. The mushroom side was excellent, and the baked potato well cooked. The amazing flavors from the entree rates this restaurant 5 stars. However, if rating on the dessert the restaurant would barely deserve 2 stars. We had the German chocolate cate and the carrot cake. Both cakes were not worth the money we spent. Either the cakes were days old, or they were cooked way too long. Dry does not begin to describe them. We will be going back, but probably not for dessert. read more

I have to be honest. I got an order to go last week and it was so good I had to come sit down and enjoy a meal. I was not disappointed. The staff are pleasant, gracious, welcoming, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for better service. The restaurant is open with high ceilings and awesome mason jar chandeliers. The menu has so many varieties on the dishes for different proteins, and vegan and gluten free options. The food, oh my gosh the food. Highly skilled preparation and presentation. I think everything I have had some far was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My plate was totally clean when I was done. The pork belly was fork tender and pleasantly not greasy. The baked potato and vegetables were absolutely enjoyable. With the fish and chips the halibut was moist, tender yet firm and flaky. Let me do you a favor. I am old, and I eat so much seafood. Every time I go out, I get seafood. Scallops in particular are my favorite. Tonight I ate the best scallops I've ever had in my entire life. "No cap" as the kids say. The build your own pasta bowl allows for customizations to your own liking, but the lemon caper sauce with the scallops was an entire life altering experience. I was in a recent trip along the Oregon coast and found myself in North Bend. After searching via Yelp! For dinner spots, I decided to come here based on the reviews. I was not disappointed. North Bend is a lumber town so I was expecting diners and such, I was NOT expecting a place with such rustic sophistication but sophistication nonetheless. They renovated an old hall and it still has that cavernous look and feel, it's going to take time to fill it up and give it a more lived-in feel but they're off to a great start. With Mason jar chandeliers, interesting antiques and vintage pieces, it's pretty eclectic but it somehow works. I sat at the bar and my waitress was really friendly, I had a Watermelon and Basil martini drink which was just perfect to start with. For dinner, I ended up ordering a steak which came with an all dressed baked potato and succotash, a medley of zucchini, beans and peas. My steak was perfect and I had a hard time finishing my plate. Even though I would have loved to try one of their desserts, I just simply couldn't.. This was really a nice surprise to find during my trip. read more

Okay, so first impressions matter and I was super delighted with its open and clean ambiance & decor. These guys know their stuff. Incredibly refreshing bright happy atmosphere with Actual live music piano tunes. We had booked online and been wanting to come here for a long time. The serving staff were all so sweet and am glad they have broken away from the rigid notion of "oh I'll get your waiter for you". We felt comfortable asking help from different staff and noone minded. Jocelynn's service left us extremely impressed with her sharp attentiveness, down to earth warmth and friendliness. We enjoyed much of the food we ordered. Looking forward to trying different things on the menu other times. Their wings were some of the best I ever had. I'm wishing hard tho that I could find ONE place in this town that doesn't have the same homogenized Fries from the same supplier that every single restaurant in town uses. Pre-frozen manufactured Fries are so blah. Also consider some lighter tempura style batter on the fish. lol Will be coming back to try more delicious items on their menu soon. read more
