Blackened Redfish
Keith W.

Stopped in while heading back to Jacksonville. To start, it was crazy busy, but our server (Joy) was super friendly and very good. I got the blackened redfish with Lima beans and very very good! My wife got beef tips and a ceasar salad. The only thing I would change is I'd put the tips over mashed potatoes instead of egg noodles, but that's knit-picking. It's a quaint little place, but for what it is, it does it well!!!

Great spot you must visit doe a great lunch. Had the Ribey Steak wrap, delicious.

Service was great. Food great! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A lot of food for the price! Great ribeye sandwich!

The food portions were plenty and the prices more than fair. We enjoyed the ribeye sandwich, the wings and the fried shrimp!

I'm sitting here reviewing instead of eating because I sent my food back. I always open my sandwich to deconstruct my food and take a look at what I get and boy what a surprise did I get tonight. What a beautiful sandwich on the outside only to reveal pretty much no contents on the inside. I mean no contents of chicken salad that is....my chicken salad must have sprouted feathers and flew off. What the heck happened to the chicken is there a shortage? Yes they took it off the bill but seriously when you get reports that this is the hot new place in town and the chef if excellent you really expect to have a delicious and amazing sandwich to write about and maybe something to even bring home and have something to snack on later. Nope, note this time. I did not even try the fries, but they looked like the standard frozen fries that maybe had some seasonings who knows. I also posted a picture of the skimpiest piece of flounder I have ever seen in my life. That looked like a child's portion. I was told it was good ....all 3 bites of it. I'm not sure how that was even a legal catch. It was so paper thin. The person that brought out that meal did not even bring out the salad that went with the meal and had no idea that a salad went with the meal. This really deserved 1 star, but the sweet tea was decent and I drank most of it so I gave them 2 stars, and the fish was consumed. I would have walked out completely.

Don't miss socializing; have a nice dinner with friends; the servers are following Covid protocols.

Had dinner with a friend Friday night. The fried redfish and succotash was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. What a great little place; homemade selections, great variety and the prices are the best deal on the south end. I love the daily specials he posts on Facebook, too. If you're in town, stop in for lunch or dinner, have a beer or glass of wine and enjoy! I bet you may even get a few gift cards for stocking stuffers!

KP's is back and the menu is better than ever! Your old favorites are available in addition to some amazing new additions. The new location is just south of Julia Street in the Berkshire Hathaway plaza. If you're ready for a fresh alternative on the island, I encourage you to stop in for an appetizer or dinner. Serving draft beer and wine as well.

Eggplant was great. Place lacks ambiance and friendliness. But for the price, can't beat it.

I think if the websites show everything on it, they should list that some items are not available at all locations. I then found the New Orleans Muffaletta that sounded wonderful, but it said it had prosciuttini on it; I'm familiar and LOVE prosciutto so I started my order and said that I had never had that before, but I assumed it was pretty similar to prosciutto. She told me that that it was a peppered ham, but was not on the sandwich. I said it clearly says it's on a sandwich and she looked at the menu board and said well it doesn't, it has capicola. I stepped away and looked up what prosciuttini was, and it was not described anything like a peppered ham or like she described. I was to the point of not wanting to order anything, but since my husband and son were with me and they wanted something, I asked her if I could see what it looked like so I can make a decision. She held it up and it didn't look anything different than regular ham. I decided to get it anyway, and I asked her if it could be made like the menu described. She stared at the menu board for a minute and thought about it and decided it was OK to do it that way. That seemed like the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard; if the menu shows what is on it and you seem to make it differently than what it's supposed to be, wouldn't you expect it to make it as it says on the menu without question - I'm not modifying anything! It turned out to be a very nice sandwich. The bread was fresh, the lunch meat was fresh, and even the muffaletta was good, albeit not drained much, so it was very oily. My husband had a Kong and thought it was very good as well. Just to clarify, she was not rude or anything like that, she was actually a nice person. I just think the whole thing was insane that I was being told I was wrong. I would go back again.

I have dined here with my parents on several occasions, for both lunch and dinner, over the years. You can choose from either the spacious and comfortable dining room, or the bar area which consists of multiple smaller tables surrounding a diamond-shaped bar. The service is consistently attentive, friendly, and caring. Aside from all those positive aspects, the food is what truly sets the restaurant apart. I highly recommend the oysters on the half shell, which you can tell are fresh and served at just the right temperature. I've also had a couple of very different beef dishes that have both absolutely hit the spot. The beef tenderloin, which can be ordered in multiple sizes, was one of the best that I've ever tasted. The beef stroganoff, only served as a special, was loaded with flavor and could easily be split between two people due to its hearty nature (although some of us like to keep the whole thing to ourselves, oops). If you're there for lunch, you'll find a wide variety of sandwich options, ranging from fresh deli meats to yummy Shrimp po'boys. All in all, Long Point is a special dining experience that does not disappoint, and I always look forward to coming back.

We called first, gave a name and they are so polite that they didn't even mention that she couldn't find our name. We almost made it to the table before she figured it out. Honestly, private clubs do not belong on Yelp - even the sweet (very embarrassed) hostesses agreed. Whoever first put this on Yelp should seriously be ashamed of themselves. Do you really need to advertise to others able to eat in a private club?!?!?

When we sat down with our kids, expecting the same--especially since the shuttle driver told us breakfast was being served--we were told no and that it wasn't available. The inconsistency made no sense. We arrived at the same time, yet were treated completely differently. Not to mention, the wait staff made no effort to help. Instead of coming to our table to speak with us, they stayed behind the bar and called out for me to go talk to the manager. It felt dismissive and honestly pretty disrespectful. Our server was very hard to hear and didn't communicate clearly, which made things frustrating from the start. Basic service was lacking--we had to ask multiple times for water and a chocolate milk, and it still didn't come until we followed up again. That shouldn't happen. On top of that, my daughter specifically asked for a plain burger, and it came out with cheese. It just felt like no one was paying attention. What made it worse was that the manager was clearly within earshot of the entire interaction and didn't step in to clarify anything or offer a solution. Overall, the experience was mediocre at best, but this situation left a really bad impression. For a golf course restaurant, the level of service was unacceptable. Consistency and basic hospitality should be the bare minimum.

First time here and it is ok. Not great, but ok, and pricey…read more One member of our party is in a walker, so it is good that it is accessible. Very casual, warehouse vibe with heated outside patio, that overlooks....you guessed it; a marsh. Menu is mostly typical roadhouse/pub offerings, but at a bit of an upscale price. Service was good, and food came quickly. The battered mushrooms were deffinately premade from frozen, and not overly generous with the serving size. The handhelds (burgers and sandwiches) were large, but came with no sides. Sides were available, for an upcharge. For 2 drinks, 2 fries, and one order of mushrooms (one of them being poutine), and 3 sandwiches, the bill (with tip) was $140. Pricey, in my opinion, and nothing special, but fine.
