    "stir-fried rice cake," tteokbokki () - delicious!!!
    Erika G.

Best Korean food in town, wonderful staff that whipped up fresh "stir-fried rice cake," tteokbokki ()! Yummmm!

First things first, the food is phenomenal--not to mention the huge portions ( I always leave with leftovers). The woman that runs Seoul Kitchen is so sweet, her prices are unbeatable, and her food is truly authentic. Nothing makes me happier than eating at an authentic place in Boulder, there's not enough of them. Although this restaurant is in a dining hall, it's a great place to get to go, or eat in. I go here at least once a month.

    Soon Tofu

I have passed this place hundreds of times, and have always opted to eat Thai Avenue or Gurkhas. After having heard some rave reviews about the place I decided to try it and it was absolutely fantastic. You don't have too many option in Boulder when it comes to Korean food, so this place can help you fill that craving. I've had the Soon Tofu dish twice this week and it is pretty tasty. They give you a large helping of rice and there is a ton of seafood inside the dish. I think it's worth a taste, but if you are on a budget you may be better off going to Thai Avenue

We saw this review on our way to RMNP and stopped by on the way. Loved the bibim nengmyun (legit, we're Koreans from Texas) and the Korean lady there was super sweet and kind. Totally recommend, hands down.

Food is good, but they charge 4 dollars for one bottle of soda. Wish they put the price on the menu.

"Korean-ish". Nice staff, easy place to grab some quick eats. Part of a food court, not full service. Udon was good too.

Food was just ok- they use a sauce packet for the soondubu. Nonetheless the price was ok for the quality. Workers were nice.

We finally made it in on a Saturday for lunch this past weekend and I can honestly say I'm glad we did! A cup of peace is marketed as a Korean place; I'm not overly familiar with Korean food, but their menu seemed to have a fairly diverse selection of items that aren't necessarily specific to Korea - like the curry, burrito, and other items. It seems they all have some type of Korean flair or flavor profile, though. Totally not discounting that. I may be overthinking things lol. Anyway, there was only one other table occupied in the small dining area, but we did see a couple people stop in to pick up to-go orders. The decor is simple, but cute and the ambiance of the place is laid back. It's a perfect spot to grab a quick lunch, and is very easily accessible off of Arapahoe. There's a decent amount of parking out front, but it may get a little crowded if multiple cars are maneuvering to get out of the lot at the same time. I decided on the curry and my friend went with the bulgogi, which seemed like two solid choices for a cool afternoon. It didn't take much time at all for our meals to get to the counter, and the presentation was so nice! There was steam coming from both dishes, and they both looked super tasty. We sat at a table by the window and dug in immediately. The flavors were excellent, and the spice level was perfect; my friend ended up getting his on the spicier side too, and he said it tasted great; not too spicy and all the flavors of the meal came through. For the two of us, lunch was about $35 (with no drinks), which wasn't too bad considering portion sizes. The quality of the food is very good, and the ingredients all looked and tasted very fresh. I'd definitely stop in again sometime soon to check out the other dishes they have available! There is also a list of specialty drinks that would be cool to try out. If you find yourself in the area, I would recommend!

When you first walk in, there are two kiosks where you can place your order and you may walk up to the cash register and order with a live person. We chose to order at the register and the employee was very friendly and explained the whole Motomaki process, which we appreciated. The process on how-it-works is located on the wall, but we both prefer in-person customer service. We ordered three rolls and one fountain drink for a total of $57 with tax.... I thought that was high for what we got. The service was fast and the ingredients were fresh. I'm glad I got the sauce on the side. My husband didn't care for the rolls because he said the seaweed was too fishy and he described them as "seaweed burritos". The rolls fell apart after we took off the aluminum foil. Also, just an FYI: three rolls were too many and we both would have been fine with one each but now we know for next time. Overall, I thought the food tasted good, the service was great, the price was high, and we would opt for bowls next time.

They have a roasted barley tea I love that has no caffeine as made without a decaffeinating process and so different than herbals common in Boulder. It has real substance. As we started to eat our pork gyoza and Ebi shumai we saw a lit candle in some food being carried across the room. Having eaten here baby times over the year, we were surprised as we had never seen this here. The entire restaurant broke in singing happy birthday to someone too far for us to see. As a server was passing our table, I mentioned we were celebrating my husband's birthday too. He said meh!d let someone know. As we were waiting for our dessert later, the owner who we've met before , with one of the servers who was carrying an ice cream mochi with a flaming birthday candle arrived and placed it in front of my husband and all the patrons broke out in sing again! Who knew this was a tradition here? The owner, who is almost always on the floor had an instant camera and too a picture of our table with the candle celebration. He made a copy for us to take home and one for nh husband to sign which will go up on some wall I had never noticed. We'll be sure to check in the walk the next time we are in.
