Friends grabbed a drink at the bar, said Scott the bartender was awesome, chatted them up and his service set the tone for our meal. See Scott, hang out, chill before seating. Then Christo our server took great care of us. Attentive, refilled drinks, changed out our grill, checked in frequently. Once you sit, you can order through the iPad, makes it easy w/well organized photos of items to navigate. On weekends the dinner menu is served all day, add $5 and you can get AYCE Korean BBQ and hotpot. The entire table must order the same deal. The sauces, banchan and desserts were available for you to grab on your own at anytime. 2hr time limit, and they have an ice cream chest option for dessert (vanilla cups and chocolate fudge bars). The selection of meats, seafood and veges were standard, came out fast and were presented well. No complaints there. They give you whole kalbi ribs and cuts of steak options besides the normal shaved meats. Snow crab legs are an option too. Drunk menu offers at an extra charge a full bar, soft drinks, flavored lemonades and boba milk teas. Best part was the birthday bonus, if you go within 3 days of your actual birthdate you'll get your meal free. So we had to show our IDs (2 birthdays) and notify our server, then the crew came out with a sign and sang, delivered cheesecake w/candles and all! Great experience. Yay K Pot is finally open! It is in the same plaza as Mensho Ramen and Xin Fu Tang. I go to the Foundry Yoga next to it and have been patiently waiting for K Pot to open since last year! I am familiar with K Pot I tried it at the Orlando location before. It is a AYCE Korean BBQ and Shabu place. Our server was attentive and sweet! The restaurant is huge, plenty of seating and there was a buffet and sauce bar session for your dipping sauces, different types of Kimchi, appetizers and desserts. For dinner, it was $32 person for one option and only $5 extra to have both Shabu and KBBQ. Of course we had to try both! Ok let's talk about the Shabu part first. I am a huge hot pot fan! I would say this is now the best Shabu place in Phoenix! We lacked a great hot pot place before in my opinion. K Pot offers great option of broths. I tried the Szechuan Spicy broth. It was very flavorful. The meat quality was good. It has great variety of meat, and veggies selection! I love my Asian veggies like Tong Ho and Watercress for hot pot. The lamb and beef belly were delish! They even offer snow crab legs and oysters! Snow crab legs were super sweet and oysters were fresh too! I worked hard for the crab legs but it was worth it! For the KBBQ, it was ok.. not great. The Galbi marinate was too sweet for my liking and it did not have the authentic Korean taste. $5 extra to have both is a good deal. Visited on a Thursday at lunchtime for KBBQ only. The restaurant is very clean and spacious inside, which made for a comfortable dining experience. The lunch menu is a bit limited, but still offers some solid options. The meat quality was good -- I just wish they included galbi on the lunch menu as well. Our favorite was the Kpot pork belly. We grilled it until it was nice and crispy -- it had a delicious sweet flavor that really stood out. There's a sauce bar and an appetizer bar with plenty of choices. The chicken wings were a standout -- crispy and flavorful. Unfortunately, the fries were cold, even though we arrived right when they opened. I ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri, but it was a bit too sour for my taste, so I wouldn't recommend that one. However, the strawberry lemonade was fantastic -- I highly recommend it. Service was outstanding. Our server, Kris, and their partner, Priscilla, were both amazing -- super attentive and proactive. They even changed the grill at just the right times without us having to ask. Five stars for them alone! She gave us a rundown of how to use the tablet which I thought was very nice and shows professionalism! She constantly checked up on us and refilled our soup and changed our grill!! Great service!! AMAZING!!! Found KPot under construction, a while back, upon visiting one of the best Japanese ramen joints in the Valley. Having experienced both Shabu Shabu and Korean BBQ, I was excited to try KPot. I was not disappointed. Both Shabu Shabu and Korean BBQ (grill your own protein) is available and both are awesome. And, you can combine both experiences at KPot. For the Shabu Shabu, you choose the broth for your hot pot (each person, up to 4, can order their own broth as the table has 4 convection stovetops available) and then you can add any and all protein that is on the menu. Flip the menu over to the BBQ menu and you can choose a multitude of proteins with any seasoning listed. Both experiences can be ordered with a variety of vegetables, from squash, mushrooms to bok choy. The sauce bar is very well stocked and you can either choose an already made sauce, or develop / experiment with your own concoction. Included in buffet style bars is all the Korean side dishes you could want (Kim Chee, pickled radishes, and squid salad). Finally, KPot's dessert bar is substantial, but alas, ordering the Shabu Shabu and Korean BBQ for lunch was an enormous amount of food. So more on the desserts on our next visit. KPot also offers a great variety for adult beverages, including soju, sake, mixed drinks, and a good selection of beers both Asian and domestic. The restaurant is very visually appealing, and laid out very well. Lots of neon and very upbeat. (Pardon me for saying but I like the decorum, it has an 80's vibe, but I am a Gen X'er) And the music in the background was also to my taste too. Trinity was our server, she was very well attentive, and all the staff were helpful and communicative. But, a word of advice... Have a plan, KPot offers an all you can eat, but with a 2-hour time limit. So, if you never have had Shabu Shabu, do one or the other. KPot will be here for a long time. We ordered one serving vs 4 and it looked like the same amount so I'm not sure how that works. They accidentally gave us Korean bbq pork belly which was wayyy too thick and when we asked our server for the hotpot one she seemed annoyed like it was our fault. They never refilled our broth and getting refills ok water or any food was slow. read more

You get to pick your own broth, and if you want to try a different one, they'll even bring you a new one. They have a great selection of meats and sides. The chicken gyoza and popcorn chicken are both super good, and the eggrolls hit the spot too. There's also a bunch of sauces and sides like kimchi cabbage, cucumbers, and ginger. If you're doing hotpot, they have tons of options from veggies, seafood, noodles, you name it. Everything comes out fresh, and the staff is really nice and quick to help. And don't skip dessert! Trying this new place that just opened up about a month ago. It is a very large space with lots of seating. Simple decor and nice lighting. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by a nice hostess that offered to explain their dining options. I chose to only do the hot pot, you have the option to do a combo (Hot Pot & Korean BBQ) or just one or the other. Whatever your option, it comes with the sauce bar, bon chon bar & hot foods. Upon being seated, I was immediately greeted by waiter (Aryen Z) that took the time to explain things (ordering process via their tablets), answer all my questions and take my first order and drink order. He checked on me regularly and offered refills on my soup. The nice thing about this place they do not charge to change/try different soups that they offer. They have a good selection of meats, seafood, veggies & noodles that are a good quality. The only item I don't recommend is the shrimp dumpling/har gow. The dumpling wrap is way too thick to be a quality dumpling. I chose the Lamb & Pork belly for my meats, then I chose squid, scallops, muscles, lobster balls and various vegetables and my soup base was Japanese miso. We came here for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our party had 7 people, and they don't seat you until your entire group has arrived. First impressions: the restaurant is large and spacious, which was nice. Our group decided to try both Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. Our server was really friendly and gave us a helpful rundown on how to order -- everything is done through a tablet, which was convenient. We started by choosing our soup bases. A few of us went with the Tom Yum, but it ended up tasting pretty bland and not at all like what we expected. Thankfully, our server let us choose different soup bases, which we appreciated. The vegetables were fresh, but I wish there was a self-serve vegetable bar. Instead, we had to wait for everything to be brought out on one large shared plate. The meat was good, but not particularly memorable. Since it was our friend's birthday, the staff brought out a cute little bear mascot and sang Happy Birthday -- a fun and thoughtful touch. Overall, the food was decent. Next time, I think I'll just choose either Korean BBQ or Hot Pot. Went to try out kpot today and it lived up to the hype. First the service was fantastic. My waitress was welcoming, explained the process thoroughly and was checking in on me regularly. I had some questions about ingredients due to allergies and she went and got me an answer. You order all the meats on an ipad and then its brought to the table fairly quickly. Restaurant is clean with a very modern decor. Booths were spacious and comfortable The buffet lineup for food is small, but all good quality. The banchan and sauces can all be made there.
