We love going to the Rodeo 72 Public Market and grabbing a bite to eat. We hadn't been to Kra Pow yet, so we decided to take their garlic noodles for a test drive. There are levels to the spice, and we asked for 1 - 1.5, just to be on the safe side. The portion was easily enough for the two of us. The garlic really came through beautifully, without being overpowering. The noodles themselves were perfectly al-dente, buttery and flavorful. We chose shrimp for our protein, and we both figured we'd get four to six at best. Not so. They loaded 7-8 nice size shrimp (either 10 - 12's or 16 to 20's), all of which were perfectly cooked, plump, juicy and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, we got the mango sticky rice. It comes in a plastic cup, and is layered with ripe, delicious mango, sweet cream, & sticky rice with a sweet, crunchy topping which provides a really nice contrast and texture. It was good, but a little expen$$$ive for me. We really enjoy the atmosphere at Rodeo 72 Public Market / Food Hall. Lots of good places to eat, it's clean, with a lively vibe and friendly staff at every place we've tried so for. Will definitely be back to Kra Pow! Give 'em a try !! read more

This place is amazing. Everything is always fresh. Some of my favorite dishes have been the Pad see ew, pad Thai and what is great about this place is you can choose the spicy level. The skirt steak and garlic rice are also so delicious. You can't forget the dessert I love getting the mango sticky rice when it's available I believe it's seasonal due to the mangoes. Wait time just depends on how busy they are since they cook everything when ordered and always so fresh and warm. Service is good overall. read more

This place is great! Had the pad Thai with bbq pork, crab fried rice, tempura cauliflower and lychee lemonade. All of them were flavor packed and delicious. Potion size was good and the ingredients were all fresh tasting. For those with a sweet tooth we got the mango sticky rice and the mango sticky rice Sunday. I do have a biased opinion that because like mangos, and this did not disappoint. The mango sticky rice was a good staple thai dessert and exactly what I'd expect when looking for one. The Sunday was a for sure a treat and creative. It had crispy rice on top for great texture with stick rice on the bottom, with ice cream in between. I would 100% be a regular here if I lived closer. This small business takes great care and precision in providing quality food, which comes at a price of a longer wait. It's worth it, though, unless you're someone who gets hangry. I ordered the tomyum fried rice with grilled chicken because I've only ever tried it as a soup and I wasn't disappointed by this creative twist. It retained the original aromatic ingredients and the rice was piping hot and fluffy.  I also loved the green curry with skirt steak. It's a hefty portion that will leave you stuffed afterwards, in a good way. There's plenty of vegetables in there and the balance of curry and rice is accurate. There's plenty of tables in the food hall to enjoy your food fres, which I recommend, but you can also easily take it to go. read more

The Service: Service was nice, the person taking my order was able to answer any questions I had. Food came out in about 10 minutes. Would be nice if there was a buzzer since I had seating further away so I would have to walk back to check on if my food was ready. The Food: Pad Thai w/ BBQ pork - Level 1 spice. I appreciate that they have different spice levels. The Pad Thai seemed overly sauced and too sweet for my taste. It was hard to eat because it felt like too much. The BBQ pork was nice and fatty and complemented the noodles well. Tom Yum Soup - Portion size was rather large - I was a bit thrown off since they asked if I wanted a protein so I chose Tofu and it added an extra $3 to the cost of the soup...The menu wasn't very clear that it was an extra charge. Soup was alright, I wish the tom yum flavor was stronger! Price: Pretty expensive - for the two items I ordered, it came out to be almost $40! The Atmosphere: Locate in Rodeo 72 so it is very busy and bustling. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors so would be good for large groups. First time at Kra Pow Thai @ Rodeo 72, and wow -- what a flavorful adventure! I went with the shrimp Pad Thai (medium spicy), and it did not disappoint. The noodles were perfectly cooked, super fragrant, and had that signature tangy-sweet balance that makes your taste buds do a little happy dance. The shrimp? Huge, crispy, and fresh -- generous portion too, so points for that! Now, the garlic rice... eh, not my favorite of the night. A bit underwhelming compared to the star power of everything else on the plate. But the Thai spicy tater tots totally stole the spotlight -- crispy, crunchy, and with just the right amount of heat. That aioli dipping sauce? Chef's kiss. The menu is calling me back already -- next round, I've got my eye on the garlic skirt steak bowl, a comforting green curry, and maybe a plate of Pad See Ew. Soft shell crab adorned the fried rice that is perfectly seasoned with a solid amount of crab meat cooked in with it. I could eat this all day. We absolutely love Krapow! The Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) is an absolute must!! I get mine with the barbecue pork, and it's so good that I almost can't imagine coming here and not ordering it. I reached out to her during after hours, and she responded quickly when I had an inquiry about placing an order for an upcoming family gathering. After going over the menu, I decided to order party trays of chicken pad see ew and chicken basil fried rice. I let her know that one of my family members has a seafood allergy, and while I was initially nervous about cross-contamination, my concerns disappeared when I saw Rusty at pickup. It made me feel like she was there to ensure that everything was done properly and on time. Our interaction was brief since I was running late, but it was such a pleasure to meet her. She even went out of her way to lend me her reusable tote to carry the party trays. Literally the best service! As for the food, everyone enjoyed it which says a lot given my family's Thai background. Everything tasted good. This is the latest Thai food addition to the West Whittier in 2025 nestled inside the extremely popular Rodeo72. I visited on the day of "Luau and Low Riders" where the management of the establishment showcased local lowrider cars and artists from noon to 10pm, and my favorite go to at Rodeo is definitely the Kra Pow, Karai, and the Spring Roll place across the hall. Thai food is prepared at order, the ingredients are true to origins and the taste is great. Protion is appropriate too, imo. Now finding a seat was probably the hard part today due to the event taking place all day, same goes for parking, but I'm happy to see that a venue that support local businesses is doing well. Kra Pow is definitely a spot to check out for all foodies. Pad Thai is my other favorite here. Noodles are chewy and never crumbled together, flavored to perfection not too heavily oiled. read more

With so many choices at Rodeo 72, it was hard to decide what I wanted to try first. I went with Thai and chose the chicken the pad Thai since I feel like that's a solid choice at any Thai place. The cashier was rushed, but friendly when taking my order. I kinda got the sense that they might have been short staffed, because the other person working was super busy and rushing around too. My food was ready about 15 minutes after ordering. The pad Thai was super sweet, but overall I enjoyed it. I ended up mixing the garlic rice with the pad Thai to help absorb some of the sweetness and sauce, which ended up being perfect. Overall it was a good experience and I'd order from here again, but I'd probably try a different dish. read more

I've had the papaya salad, BBQ chicken, and BBQ pork more than once and they're all delicious! Great flavors and tastes fresh. Reminder, Thai spice is SPICY! I got a 3/5 on the spice and it was borderline too spicy for me. LOL. My second time around I got spice level of 1 and it was good! Looking forward to coming back despite the service being slow. So I've been going here for a while and today I experienced what I call price gouging. The menu says one thing and I was charged something else..... I asked about the price and was told a new menu was coming food is good but ..... a 32 oz bowl for 32$ is crazy.... That's a 10$ jump in the last 6 months..... The staff was kind and helpful with everything needed for a take out order. I got home half an hour later, and my meal was still warm! Thai inspired rice and/or noodle bowls that are impressive in terms of quantity and freshness. I ordered the krapow bowl with the BBQ pork, medium spicy, with noodles instead of rice (+$2). The pork had a very nice grilled char to them and the spiciness level was no joke, which I enjoyed. Big fan of the food at Kra Pow! Been eating their food since they opened up in Chino, where the owners Rusty and Cliff packed up and moved to the new, SUPER busy Rodeo 72. Some of my favorite things here are the Pad See Ewe and pad kee mao, the bkk and crab fried rice, crispy pork belly...even the humble grilled chicken is a charred delight that just hits the spot when I want something light (or something that fits my protein macros). Also try the tots, they are seasoned with a proprietary blend of spices with some slight sour notes that makes me want to eat a tray of them (which I have at an event they catered). It's very busy here, but they get the food out as fast as they can. It's definitely worth the wait if you're visiting the food hall! read more
