We were told they were "out" of the baba ganoush & sambousas cuz they would have to make them and it would take like an hr...this sounded odd cuz umm, don't you make all your food to order?? This immediately put both my stepmom (who is Moroccan) and myself off and we were actually going to leave, but we were introducing my brother's GF to this ethnic food style & him + my dad convinced us to stay, so we just added salad and lentil bean soups). We ordered drinks (the GF & I were the only ones that didn't order sodas; she ordered a pot of Karak tea for her + I to share & I ordered a sparkling water). What a fantastic spot for authentic, flavorful Indian food! Their spice levels are on point--perfectly spicy without overwhelming the flavors. But a word of caution: don't ask for it too hot unless you're ready for some serious heat! We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, and it was delicious! The sauce was creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. The Chicken Vindaloo was also amazing, with a nice tangy heat that made every bite exciting. We started with samosas, which were crispy and filled with a tasty, well-seasoned potato filling. Although I felt the food was slightly overpriced, the quality of the food, ambience, and service made it worth every penny. It was then 11:50 and there was no sign of readiness. I had to go ask the staff member why there is a delay and reiterate that it beats the purpose of quick buffet on a weekday lunch if they are taking so long to just get ready! Staff advised us to get started while they are still placing some of their dishes (such a naan/bread). Again - the experience was bad. Food was okay again. Stink of floor cleaner was very much there.
