Quick & friendly staff but sad to say that high crime at newly renovated location caused my family to stop frequenting Krispy Kreme in Baton Rouge. Love love love their donuts but not worth risking our lives. Shooting at drive thru window was end of our lifetime tradition with their delicious fresh hot glazed donuts (best in the world)! Wish they would open in a safer area. Ambiance in lobby very nice. Sure wish I could recommend this location to others but can no longer do so due to safety reasons. read more

I been livin round here 30 years. This place look nice and new but dey got hearing problems!!!!, messing my order up, adding donuts and taking away drinks and shxt!!!! The customer service here is 0/5 stars. I have never been treated so badly at a fast food chain as I was here. The employee told us they were out of all donuts except glazed and we would have to wait 10 minutes. We said that is fine! We pull up to the window and they actually had glazed donuts the whole time. Great news! So I got my donuts. But the employee who took my order and who handed me my donuts at the window could have actually cared less and treated me with 0 respect or care. The line was extremely long which I hope gets better as enthusiasm levels but they try to move customers through as quickly as possible without sacrificing service. There is a five dozen limit per vehicle and after waiting so long, it seemed most were buying at least 2 dozen. The donuts are as good as I remembered and very addictive. The experience I had today with this Krispy Kreme was the worst experience I have EVER had with any service establishment my whole life. Now I'll preface this by saying I work in the service industry, I know what it's like to have bad days and how hard it is to deal with rude customers in a friendly fashion, but me and my friend were NOTHING but nice. We placed an order online, a custom dozen of donuts, almost all glazed, but 3 specialty donuts, and I ordered myself a large hot latte. We go through the drive thru to pick it up because we're on a bit of a time crunch. It takes us FOREVER (a solid 10-15 minutes) just to get to the window. That's fine. Whatever. But we get up to the window and the cashier opens the window and tells us a total. We let her know we have an online order we're picking up, just like we did at the ordering speaker. Honest mistake. She goes to close the window and all we hear is "Y'all got an order for ******?" Okay.. a little concerning that we placed it 45 minutes before and it's not ready yet but okay that's fine. No big deal. Then she comes and opens the window and says that 2 of the 3 specialty donuts I ordered they didn't have. I replaced them with glazed, but was a little upset that I paid an extra $3 just for ONE specialty donut, but it's fine. I understand it happens sometimes. When she gets the donuts, she practically throws them into my friend's hands and then closes the door, without another word after my friend said thank you. We think she's just going to get my coffee at this point since we still haven't gotten it yet, but sure enough a minute later she throws open the window again and says, very rudely, "What y'all waiting on?" I very nicely leaned over my friend and told her that we had a coffee with our order. She slams the door in our faces again. By this point I'm getting pretty upset. I placed the whole order online to make it easier on the workers and yet nothing seems to be coming out right. A minute after she slammed the door, she comes back and asks what kind of latte it was. I very calmly told her that it was a glazed donut flavored one. She slammed the door again and I told my friend that if she came back and asked another question, I was just gonna show her my phone. Sure enough, she comes back again and asks if it's hot, cold, or frozen. I responded that I was just gonna show her my phone and my friend went to hand it to her and she very rudely said "I know what it is. I just need to know if it's hot, cold, or frozen." I had to stop myself from telling her that obviously if she keeps having to come back and ask me about my order that she didn't know and I instead very flatly told her that it was hot. She slams the door shut AGAIN and walks away. Comes back 5 minutes later with my coffee and practically throws that into my friend's hands again, and my friend gave her a very nice "Thank you" even after everything that had transpired during that interaction and she slammed the window shut in his face without another word and we pulled off, incredibly upset about all that had happened. My coffee doesn't even taste right either, and I had paid an extra $2 for add-ins AND it wasn't filled up all the way. Needless to say I don't think we'll be going back to that Krispy Kreme anytime soon. read more

Bad service and almost a total wait time of one hour for a few doughnuts. We sat in the rain in the DT waiting to order and we weren't even greeted. After a few minutes we said hello to make sure it was working. All the person working the DT said was "can you hold on". After a few more minutes of waiting we were able to order. They were out of half of what is shown on the screen. We then waited behind only one car for over half an hour. I wanted to leave but it's a 30 minute drive to get here and it would have made me feel even more sour about the experience. I grew up in Metairie going to Krispie Kreme often and this location seems to fall very short. At this point it might be fast to drive across the causeway than to go to this location. read more

Absolutely terrible. I got there at 5:00 in the morning for hot donuts and I got cold donuts there was no regular coffee at 5:00 a.m.!!!!??? This location did not have the vegan donuts that they advertised on TV. This location does not have powdered creamer for people who do not drink milk. I haven't been to Krispy Kreme in years and now I know why! Disappointment all the way around. read more

Melt in your mouth, light as a feather, glazed to perfection. This is by far my favorite doughnut in the whole wide world...the whole wide world dude! When that hot sign is on, I will cross six lanes of traffice to get a dozen (bakers dozen hopefull) of the glazed. Not only are the glazed smack tastic the others are as well. That glazed sour cream, eclair, kreme filled are all so delicious. I'm still not sure where the Krispy comes from but these are not crispy in the least! read more

To paint you a picture. The workers work here because they want a job where they can sit on their ass and do absolutely nothing. They HATE their lives and HATE everyone else. They gave me 2 dozen chocolate stuffed donuts one time when they said they only had one flavor in store (we could see the other ones, they were lying) it and we only asked for one dozen glazed. They Charged us before we noticed they were giving us two dozen and when we said that was not close to what we asked for, they acted like we were stupid. We were honestly kind of scared for our wellbeing to argue with them so we just left. Losers. I was extremely mad and upset after the experience, it wasn't about the food it was about the people and how hateful they seemed. Never going back. read more

I would simply advise you that if you, your kids, your family, or anyone loves donuts stop in when you see the red Hot Now light on. You can't hear the hot, fresh, original glazed donuts that are just coming off the conveyer belt getting glazed. The donuts literally melt in your mouth, chewing is optional! It's embarrassing how many donuts you an wolf down when they are hot and stop by to get a box. My out if family loves stopping here on their way back home. My daughter loves the hot donuts, too. On some days they have specials like buy one box, get one box for 79 cents. Or buy one box, get one box free. Please note, the lines will wrap around the entire building and parking is a nightmare. Was in line for over 30 minutes with only about 5 cars ahead of me they are extremely slow and inefficient

Went today because I noticed the light was on at 11am for the last time, I've been checking the app all day and the light never came back on again. So I kept calling before I wasted my time and gas going over there, well no one ever answered because I needed my ordered corrected from when they never answered the phone to get it right. Totally disappointed in the service and the facility. Ordered donuts online at 1:16pm. Told they would be ready at 1:31pm. Got to the store, no glazed available. Told I had to wait 30 minutes. Ran an errand and made it back at 2:13pm. Told there was no more glazed again until someone suggested to give us the donuts in the display. Flies were EVERYWHERE!!! A friend told me that you could go inside Krispy Kreme on Plank Road and watch the donuts being made and that it was pretty cool, so we took a 35 minute drive at 5:30 am from Prairieville because it's quarantine and we are THAT bored. We got there and got out of the car and had to be careful to avoid stepping on fast food smashed in the parking lot. I looked around and saw a lot of trash in the parking lot. A few employees were smoking outside & one of them saw us and informed me that the lobby was closed, and I could order through the app and pick up at the window. We got back in the car and I spent 10 minutes trying to check out on the app but even though I was checking out quickly, it kept telling me that it timed out after I put in my payment info, so after 3 attempts I gave up. In the meantime, I got into the drive-thru line, which hadn't moved much since we got there. I waited in line for another 10 mins or so and it NEVER MOVED!!! One truck was sitting waiting to order and stayed there the whole time. Meanwhile the line was backed up down the side street. Thankfully I wasn't blocked in so I ended up backing up and driving out of the other entrance that was clearly labeled "not an exit" but the other entrance was blocked with incoming cars on one side and orange cones on the exit side that no one moved. We ended up going to Mary Lee donuts in Prairieville which is our favorite place, anyway, and we won't be going back to Krispy Kreme. It's obviously one of those places where the employees don't care and you might get your donuts but you're going to wait for them. A loooong time. read more

2nd time ive been to this location since it opened. Waited in line Atleast 30 min (which im ok with for a premium product) ... save yourself the time and just go to a gas station. Same quality. Not fresh. Not even warm. I remember the other location off siegan years ago and every time they were fresh hot donuts that would melt in your mouth. Thats the kind if donuts i would drive 30 min out the way for and wait in line. These here are just the same as you would buy at your local gas station. Very disappointing read more

When the hot light is on, it leaves you with no choice but to stop in for a fresh dozen of the best doughnuts in town. They simply melt in your mouth and eating just one is never enough. Went across town to the newly remodeled Krispy Kreme anticipating the same hot, soft and delicious donuts they are known for. SO, SO disappointed!! The line was barely in the road and it was extremely slow moving but that was ok we were prepared for a wait for the delicious donuts. Donuts were not hot when we got them but no problem. Took a bite and the oil used to fry them was RANCID! What a disappointment!! Surely for a donut shop there is specific protocol on how long to use oil to keep this from happening. I have been searching to try a HOT Krispy Kreme on my journey cross contry because I had never had one before. This is the original Krispy Kreme I am told.. The donuts are good but I would recommend trying to get them while they are hot. They have an app you can download to check when they turn the "HOT" sign on. I'm from Baton Rouge but we moved to Lafayette a few years ago. And every time we're in town we stop. It's the best place. My absolute favorite donut shop. I mean it's KRISPY CREAM!! I do however feel that some things can be improved with this exact location. We went a few days ago and the glass wasn't screwed in all the way. If you were to lean on it you'd fall through, which is a hazard, secondly, we asked for frozen latte's and the cashier immediately said she didn't know how to make them, and seemed sort of bothered about it, then she told the other cashier who also didn't know how to make it so they grabbed someone from the back who ALSO didn't know how to make it, but was smart enough to know there was a recipe book for the drinks so she read it and made them. The two cashiers clearly didn't want to take time to do their job and read the recipe book to make it which sort of bothered me. I feel that the employees need more training on how to make certain items that THEY SELL. It shouldn't take three people to figure out how to make an item on the menu. And maybe a lesson on professionalism. I think if I'd known the hassle it caused the employees to make a latte' I would have just gotten my donuts and went for a latte' at Starbucks because at least they know what they are doing, when it comes to coffee.Still though, ITS KRISPY CREAM!! Y'all know I'm a southern gal, Krispy Kreme can never go wrong with me. Always the same, the donuts are always fluffy, light and melt in your mouth, you can't eat just one. I stick to the true and orignal donuts, I don't try the new stuff. Keep it simple just the plain glazed doughnuts you can never go wrong with those. This location is terrible, and not very transparent about their hours of operation. When you have "Open 24 hours" and every one of your services listed as such, you're kind of expected to be truthful about that. I shouldn't be disappointed to drive over there after my shift at 1 AM (I've been trying to get at least ONE box of donuts after work for weeks now) only to see the drive thru coned off and all doors locked, and staring at the lie on my phone saying "Open 24 hours." And when I try to online order, the app tells me the location isn't taking pickup orders. If you're not open at a certain time at night, SAY SO. Update the time for your location specifically or something. It doesn't help that prior to this, service was generally pretty horrible when entering the shop. The employees are extremely short with you, and they're treating you like YOU'RE the inconvenience. Definitely needs a staff overhaul or something. read more

Krispy Kremes has the best donuts hands down. I've been to many Krispy Kremes through out the years and this locations seems to be in need of a renovation haha. Not a big deal though. My problem with this location is the staff, I always feel very rush when I go in. read more
