I haven't walked into a Krispy Kream in about 4 years. Boy was I pleasantly surprised & impressed. I was also afforded outstanding customer service by a young man named Bobby who will eventually have his own store or business. He knows how to treat customers. I could tell when I walked in the door that Bobby had something bothering him. Now I may be wrong But he didn't allow what ever may have been bothering him to be put aside and treat me like I was the most important person in the room. The place was a lot cleaner than I remember and the selection of doughnuts was very impressive. I'm not done with Bobby yet. When it came time to check out he told me that they were having a promotion going and that he was going to apply it because I didn't ask and I wasn't aware of it. The discount with the promotion was $5 off. I would rate Krispy Kreme a 3.5 out of 5! I want to start off with the good-this location is INCREDIBLY clean (it was spotless) and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The downside was that I paid $15 for a half a dozen donuts-one of which was dried out. I just feel like that was a lot of money for a half a dozen donuts. I will say the original glazed is always fresh and delicious, and I tried the cookies and crème filled donut which was VERY good. Watching those golden rings ride the conveyor like sugary royalty on a victory lap was oddly therapeutic. I was given a fresh donut off the line and instantly understood why Homer Simpson risked everything for a donut--it melted in my mouth like sweet, buttery air. This location is always a hit or miss. We walked in on a Saturday night around 7:30 pm. There were a few people sitting inside and several in line. The drive thru was also busy. The employee was I believe shy so she didn't really interact with us. No hiiii no nada. We had a buy one get one deal for a dozen donuts. We opted for a dozen glazed and the other dozen were going to be mixed. The selection was very sad, (boo) and they barely had any donuts to pick from. When you ask for milk and sugar or Splenda , you get little of each and then told to fill it up yourself at the kiosk. I've encountered this every time I've gone.
