Shout out to the employee who helped me via the drive-thru at 3:20 AM in the morning today. I wanted a hot chocolate with some donuts as I ended my ten hour shift. I was told that the hot chocolate machine was not available for another 30-40 minutes. I let out a whistle of surprise and he said he would check again. As I drove up to the window he explained to me the steamer was being sanitized at the moment and therefore why the hot chocolate was not available. As I paid for my donuts he asked me if I wanted something else and I said not really. He then proceeded to ask me if I would like my hot chocolate made the old fashioned way. My sister and I were heading to the Ontario Mills Outlets and happened to be in the area when she decided she was desperate need of Krispy Kreme doughnut. I drove and we found parking right away which is always nice! We both walked in instead of driving through--it was not crowded inside at all granted the time we arrived was fairly early. All the employees were super friendly. I was being good as my cheat day is usually the weekend and or one day a week. She got a few glazed and sampled the birthday cake. After finding parking in the congested parking lot, we entered and became hypnotized with the smell of fresh donuts. While waiting in line, I watched the fresh donuts being covered in glaze. The longer I waited, the more I fantasized about eating them right off of conveyer belt! By the time we reached the front to place our order, we went with the Double Dozen special; two dozen assorted donuts with milk for $20.99 instead of the "one" we came for. I'm no stranger to Krispy Kreme. I pledged my allegiance years ago. Some of my fondest memories are going to Krispy Kreme with my family growing up. We even came here after my college graduation to celebrate with fried sugary goodness. What a great way to reward yourself for achieving one of your accomplishments. I've also been a pretty consistent participant in their special events. Once a year they give away a dozen donuts for "dress like a pirate day." And if you have at least 3 pieces of a pirate costume you get free donies. I've done this a few times with my family, and it's a blast! You can also just talk like a pirate and get one free donut if you don't like dressing up. Still it's a lot of fun! On international donut day they give away a free donut as well. I had never been to a Krispy Kreme until this past Friday - some call me inexperienced, others say this was the day my life truly began. Don't get me wrong, I've had a classic Krispy Kreme glazed donut before.. but I've never had one fresh. My first trip to Krispy Kreme in Ontario was an eye opening experience. My friend and I ended up here after I lost a game of rock-paper-scissors to decide the nights dessert. I'm glad fate brought me face-to-face with their lit 'Fresh Donuts in the making' sign! The drive-through line was about 30 cars deep, so we decided to ditch the car and go inside. I'm guessing everyone made the same Friday night plans because the line inside was just as chaotic. Oh well, we were already committed! The hour wait went by pretty fast watching the donuts being made. I found this incredibly enthralling, and felt like a kid in a candy store with my face pressed against the glass. Once we got to the front, our order of 1 or 2 donuts easily turned into a dozen. My favorite was the chocolate donut with the whip custard on the inside. I find glaze to be a little too sweet, so this was the perfect balance! I also ordered a side of milk to combat the sweetness. This is a great spot for the end of a date night, or even while out with the family. My daughter seen an advertisement showing Krispy Kreme offering special patriotic doughnuts for the 4th of July. We drove out here from Grand Terrace and when we got here they had none of the advertised patriotic doughnuts. It is very disappointing that they advertise them so heavily, but yet when you go to their store they do not have any instead they have glaze doughnuts in the spots where they should have the "patriotic ones". This Krispy Kreme is the closest in the area and it's usually fine. We normally only go through the drive thru but tonight we decided to get off and spend time inside. Everything was fine at the table until a roach caught our eye. It was scurrying across the blinds next to our table. In our attempt to not make a scene, I quietly got up and asked one of the workers if i could show him something. He seemed weirded out and hesitant to follow me to the table. While I am desperate to lose weight, I have still been here a few times this year- but mostly to make other people happy! I'm helping a family with three generations and the oldest is 101 years old! Really enjoy their donuts when fresh, it's the best time to eat them but also the worst time to purchase them - you can expect a long line, and a good twenty plus overall minutes to obtain the goods. Drive-thru available if you're up for the mission. Staff here have been friendly on the multiple visits, however, I truly think they need more staff, especially when pumping out the fresh donuts, they tend to do that later in the evening both for customers, but I believe they also do this for local grocery stores who resell their products, so the demand is heavy at the time. It is "coffee bean" which sadly am not a fan of, for example if you're a coffee guru you know that whole beans are the best to purchase and grind, for the utmost freshest tastiest coffe, but the coffee beans do not have brew dates on them, just "best by" dates, so that alone is disappointing and explains the quality of their beans. read more

Which is GROSS! And unsanitary! I could've licked them, touched all of them, who knows! Luckily I didn't, I just wanted to see if they were warm but the fact that he didn't bother to think of food being touched and put it back to resell it is just gross. I always enjoy Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Not only are they always hot and fresh, but they are equally delicious. My only complaint is that they are so much smaller than regular doughnuts that you have to eat like 3 of them at 1 sitting. My personal favorite is the chocolate iced kreme filled. It's so good, with it's Twinkie like filling...YUMMY! The team members are always friendly, and they keep the restaurant in tip top shape. My only other complaint (not taking any stars away) is the drive is always so packed and moves so slow. The line usually backs up into the street causing a bit a traffic congestion.
