I've loved their glazed donuts and cream filled chocolate donuts since I was a little girl. So I was excited to see the Krispy Kreme sign from the highway. Bought a half dozen and couldn't believe what I was tasting. Sure it was about 3:30/4:00 in the afternoon, so the donuts weren't fresh but even slightly stale Krispy Kremes used to taste great. I feel like these doughnuts are getting smaller? Maybe it's just me but I do think Krispy has downsized a lot over the years. I remember as a child selling a dozen for a fundraiser and they were much larger. There is literally sugar, glee, and pure joy piping out of this place. Walk in - holiday music and smiling children. I hadn't visited a Krispy in YEARS. I actual love the glaze on these doughnuts. I may prefer the glaze to the doughnut, but the maple glaze had an off taste. Price: Compared to mom and pop shops, these things are small. Stopped by this place early in the morning because I was in the mood for some donuts and coffee for breakfast. When you go anywhere early in the morning, you'd hope to be greeted with nice and friendly people; that's how you get a good start in your day. The girl helping me was the complete opposite. She was rude, gave me such a nasty attitude, and rolled her eyes at me. Like uh, oh hi good morning to you too. After boxing up my dozen of donuts, she didn't bag it for me and when I tried to ask her for a bag she said she's trying to help these other customers WHEN the other customers were still deciding on what to order. I mean, how long does it take for you to just grab me a bag? Honestly, I've had friendlier service at a different Krispy Kreme. This one needs to get their sh*t together. I haven't tried this one before but I like blueberries and I like old-fashioned doughnuts so I figured why not? It's super flavorful and isn't overly sweet like some of the other ones. I might be the only person in the US going into Krispy Kreme to get coffee. honestly if it's not straight out of the fryer it's no good. I think the half life is like 3 min or something. So every 3 min it's only as half as good as it was out of the fryer. Surprisingly their coffee is pretty decent. I guess they're going after the Dunkin Donuts model of captive audience. I wish I can give them more stars than 5. This is absolutely the most friendly location I have ever been to. We come here with our kids here to get some donuts and the staff is always so nice to them. The location is always busy as it is in a busy location with the movie theatre but they manage to take time to give out some balloons and coloring pages to all the kids that come by. I tried to leave a tip because of the wonderful service but there was no tip jar and they told me to just write them a wonderful review. Visiting this location always makes my day a little brighter.
