Customer service is absolutely awful here. We've came 3 times and all 3 times I've been so disappointed. The place is clean, the donuts are great but the service will stun you! We come to this one because it's closest to us, but every time I promise myself I will not be coming back and today's visit made it 100% this time. My sister and I went to check out Krispy Kreme on a Sunday morning in June. Beforehand. We read in SGV eats, they make donuts offsite so it is not hot in temperature. I parked on the street and waited in line to order. The long wait is that everyone in front of us ordered mix donuts by the dozen. Only 2 cashiers and rest of staff was helping people pick donuts. I ordered a cinnamon roll. It was soft not hot. The security guard limit amount of people waiting in line inside. So I seen people left after waiting in line or seen the line. Donuts are always nice and warm when I come in. Today the manager really made our day! We were trying to take a few boxes to school for teachers appreciation week and she let us get the promotion. The first guy told me no and I think he might have not know or just didn't want to deal with it but I'm glad the manager stepped in and happily gave it to us. This is the only location I like going to. Today was a trial run and they were giving out donuts by the dozen to anybody that lined up. People were walking out with 1-2 dozen donut boxes each and hoarding bottles of soft drinks since it was free for all. They were also handing out vouchers for another free dozen box donuts that's good for June 14th grand opening and another that's good for any Krispy Kreme location until the end of the year. I'm unsure if they actually make the donuts there because I didn't see the conveyor belt system and this location is really small compared to other Krispy Kreme's. Service was poor at this location. Not sure if the staff was just burnt out or if they are always this depressing and impatient when you are choosing your dozen. I can handle poor service if the food is good but these donuts were not as fresh as the stores that make them in house. Coming to this KK is the same as if I bought one of their donuts from the 7/11 or Ralph's. Try the City Of Industry location. They are open 24 hrs and frying up fresh donuts compared to this shop that gets them trucked in. One specific worker was rude and dishonest to us. We kindly asked if they still made drinks at 9:30pm since it's 30 min to close, he hesitates before saying "no". We sat down to continue eating our donuts when 15 min later a group of 6 comes in and orders a drink. The worker who took their order was nice and courteous, not obviously choosing to not make their drink for whatever reason. The rude worker then approaches us again letting us know that they close soon, which was fine until he told us to "wrap it up". So excited for this closer Krispy Kreme location. There is a small parking lot but traffic was horrible on Fair Oaks and was finding it hard to turn into their driveway so I turned into a different street and just did street parking. It's smaller than other locations. You don't see the usual conveyor belt of donuts being made. They were having a deal for a dozen glazed donuts for tue price of gas at $5.01. The donuts were not warm but still delicious. I had downloaded their app and the lady helped me scan for rewards but when I checked for points it didn't seem to go thru. Picked up some Krispy Kreme donuts to take back to Taiwan for my mother, there are Krispy Kremes in Taiwan but my mother prefers the ones from California. It's been a long time since she's had one. I would say about 18 years. I was only glad to do this favor for her. Yum! :) I called ahead to ask the manager, I think her name is Angie, if they can put my 24 donuts in 4 six pack boxes for easy traveling, she was more than happy to do so, and she was so nice!! IMPORTANT MESSAGE: If you have a gift card to use, DO NOT COME HERE because it will not be accepted! I wish they posted a sign on their door telling customers at the outset that they currently do not accept gift cards as a form of payment! They tell me this only after I made a huge purchase. According to the store employee there was a cyber attack earlier this month (which is worrisome to say the least- do better corporate Krispy Kreme and do not get hacked) and because of that they cannot accept gift cards as a form of payment. As such if you have Krispy Kreme gift card you want to use DO NOT COME HERE! Plus the staff here are not particularly friendly and they don't care about providing good customer service. My experience at this donut shop was much much different than these reviews. The donut. The sweat circle of goodness praised by the police and of course Homer Simpson. After consuming this highly praised sweat, I was satisfied. Even if the donut is a day old, like many complained about, it was a great donut. Mine did not taste old, it fact it seemed fresh. The workers were very helpful in informing me about all the deals. I was able to get a dozen for $1!! The ambiance is okay. It's not a place I would go and work but it open. Yep, it's a Krispy Kreme store, and if you live in the SGV, this might be the closest one to you. Unfortunately, after driving through holiday traffic to get here, it's not exactly what I had expected. First off, it's a smaller store, not like the bigger ones found in the other valley. Those stores have bigger ovens, more staff, and they're constantly churning out fresh donuts. And, as everyone knows, Krispy Kremes are best enjoyed when they're hot, semi-gooey, and just out of the oven. At this location, they have all the different varieties, including the seasonal ones, but they're sitting under a glass case. And those aren't just for show. That's the donut you're going to get. And when we got ours, it wasn't hard to tell that they had been sitting there for a good bit - enough so that we needed to pop them in the microwave for a few. Thanks go to Tiffany C. for reminding me that there is a Krispy Kreme so close to our homes! I don't need to go to Burbank or Roland Heights, now that there is a South Pasadena store. I was surprised there was no drive-thru, but with plenty of parking, that should not be a problem. Located on a busy street, it's nice to have parking available. The selections are nicely displayed in the front, with a pleasant crew ready to serve you. I love that everything is so brand new and there is not a speck of dust anywhere to be seen. Yes there is line on opening day. No freebies at 4pm but there was a few days ago. This is the most exciting thing to happen in South Pasadena this year. Same menu as other Krispy Kreme locations. There's finally a KK near me but I did not get a donut for myself, alas I was excited to buy some for my doggo for National Dog Day 8/26. I knew from the reviews the human donuts are not made on premises, but the doggo donuts are even worse. I've been bamboozled because they are donut shaped "cookies" and package sealed. They are super HARD. When I opened it at home, I accidentally dropped one on the floor and it did not made a dent nor a crack on the cookie. I came around lunch time during the week with my Dad to pick up some donuts for a friend. I asked for a box of the mini assorted donuts and my Dad and I picked out a couple of extra regular donuts for ourselves. Donuts here were fresh, soft, and fully stocked. Service was good but I only wish that I was able to pick out my assorted mini donuts for myself since I wanted specific flavors; I was given a standard, already-packed boxed and had to ask the worker what options were inside the box.
