Normally, this location is not too crowded during the week but I happened to be there on a Saturday and it was definitely more busy. The dine in space had about 4 tables and all were taken. There was a good variety of pastries but they already ran out of pineapple buns and the salted butter buns at about 3 in the afternoon. The line was about 6 to 7 deep but it was moving consistently with 2 checkers. The first checker forgot to give me my drink discount unfortunately. I didn't notice until after I paid. I have to give credit to the second checker (forgot his name but he's African American) who patiently helped to fix the wrong for me. There was still a line but he took the time to help me get my discount and in a very courteous, professional manner. I would come back just because of his great customer service. Shout out to this specific 85 Bakery location -- I just feel like the breads are so fresh here. I honestly wonder who's back there doing the baking because they are absolutely in their bag. Here for the reasonably-priced and various pastries. I usually have it for breakfast or as a snack. They do run out towards the end of the day so would recommend coming early. I've never ordered a drink from the counter but on my most recent visit, did pick up a bottle of milk tea from the fridge and it tasted pretty good although a bit expensive. I don't have a favorite pastry but am a fan of the taro ones. Garage entrance is on a side street just off of Main so 2-hour parking is easy. There is some seating inside if you wanted to eat in. They used to be good when they first started. After many years, it's the same old bread. The workers don't really care about customer service anymore. The selection of bread is scarce. They don't come out with anything new or innovative. This location did its job by giving us a day's worth of snacking while we were traveling internationally. 10 of these came out to $25 or so. Came just now to place a mobile order for two drinks. Saw the disclaimer stating it could take up to 25 min (!!) for an ASAP order. Ok, it's a weekend afternoon, understandable. However, the person making the drinks has been watching us stand there in front of the pickup counter for 30+ minutes, and hasn't bothered to ask what our name/order is, while numerous other people were picking up orders (none of which looked like ours). After another 10 mins, I went to ask if they received our orders and the staff member rolled her eyes, and handed us drinks that have been sitting in the back this entire time, melting away. Disappointed is an understatement. I understand if a store is busy and orders may take some time, but customer service should not be thrown out the window. Now not only did I leave with a watered down/melted drink, I'm also left disappointed by how disrespectful the staff here are. Took my daughter here and she wanted to get tiramisu cake and, this is the only place is good. They also have different varieties of cake and other dessert. You would come in and get a tray and just get what you want. Service is ok just like another 85 degree. I was checking it at the counter and thought perhaps the jelly is hiding and I'll taste it once I poke, but there was nothing. Additionally, the drink (strawberry milk tea) was okay. I appreciated how it wasn't too sweet, and there are pieces of real strawberries. It's also been a while since I've been to 85 so I was surprised to see everything already individually wrapped and no more "fresh bread!" announcements. They also seemed to stop serving the chocolate bun (brown bread with powdered sugar) which is unfortunate because it was my fave. I also really enjoy the barron (I think that's the name) and always look forward to trying something new each time. For a friend's birthday, I ordered the ube cake, and wow it was perfect! Light, moist, and flavorful without being overly sweet. Everyone at the party loved it. The customer service is always nice, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The bakery is conveniently located along 3rd and Main street. You can find parking in the lot or park by the nearby streets. The chain has been around for a while but the quality of the baked goods varies per location. I stop by early Saturday morning to buy milk bread since most of the goods are usually sold out by 2PM. Walk in the store at 4PM on weekday and the shelves are half empty. I love the half moon almond but they skimp on the cream. There's barely any cream holding the chiffon cake together. It's like they put just enough for the almonds to adhere onto the cake. The egg tarts are a hit or a miss - some days, the crust is soggy and crumbly while other days it's just right. The milk bread isn't as good as it used to be. I remember it being pillowy soft. The drinks are nothing special. There are multiple boba tea places along Main Street to choose from. The staff are courteous but they don't have enough cashiers. I once waited 15 minutes in line on a morning weekend when they had one cashier, two making tea, I saw some in the kitchen and another walking around behind the counter trying her best to look busy. As most of the 85° Bakery location, this branch has many pastries to select from, both savory and sweet. There are additionally some refrigerated cakes and slices of treats at the front counter. They also sell drinks like hot lattes and iced coffees. The shop is a bit small, but it does have a few tables where you can enjoy your beverage and or your treats. The staff are cordial and efficient. This location is located in the building full of condominiums. DO NOT GET THE MANGO CREME BRULEE CAKE ‼‼‼ It tasted like SOAP I purchased a Mango Creme Brulee cake for a family member's birthday. Come to find out when I cut the cake, its frozen!!!! I mean seriously, for a $36 cake this is unacceptable. The creme brulee was so frozen it broke the cake slicer! As we are eating the cake, the top layer tasted like SOAP! I'm not sure whether cross contamination occurred when they were making this cake but it was UNPLEASANT to ENJOY. I went to checkout with bakery items and order normal Jasmin teas. I had gotten a matcha bakery food item and asked the cashier John(Jordan) B about the free matcha pen when purchasing matcha product. He doesn't know what I'm talking about so I point to the electronic display above his head that clearly says free matcha pen with matcha product purchase. He has me scan my membership and says he doesn't see a free pen, I tell him I've been coming for years and any of the product like pens or cups or mugs I've gotten, there was never any code to scan. He tells me he has to speak to his manager, he comes back and says he cannot give me a buy one get one free matcha drink, HUH, I tell him I never even mentioned or asked about matcha drinks and I'm not even ordering matcha drinks, that I got a matcha bakery item and all I'm asking for is the pen like to says on the display above him, he tells me he has to talk to his manager again, he then comes back out and tells me there is no such matcha pen, at this point I just give up because he's just wasting everyone's time and a line is building up and I want to be courteous to those in line. read more

it was closer to where we were. went. got what we wanted - marble taro bread and the brioche. register person was friendly. the other person we encountered up close was the person stocking the bread. she was not pleasant, came off a bit angry. You can loudly hear the tray getting bumped and stacked against each other. I like most of the bakery items here because it is not as sweet compared to the ones in western bakery. Some of my favorites are berry tale, mango tale, brioche, taro mochi boroh, walnut raisin multigrain bread... and many more. I also like their mango green tea and iced sea salt coffee. All 85C bakeries are busy, especially this location in the afternoon during weekdays. Students from the nearby high school frequent this location. So avoid coming here in the afternoon (after school is out) if you don't want to join the crowd. Even though lines are long, it usually moves pretty fast; but the wait for your drinks can take awhile when they are busy. read more
