Love the bread here. Friendly service always. Just hate that they run out of pastries so early in the day and they close like at 9pm.

Fresh Strawberry Milk Tea missing lychee jelly :(
    Danya G.

Unfortunately it wasn't until I was in my car and on my way out that I noticed my drink did not have the lychee jelly I ordered and paid an extra $0.50 for. I was checking it at the counter and thought perhaps the jelly is hiding and I'll taste it once I poke, but there was nothing. Additionally, the drink (strawberry milk tea) was okay. I appreciated how it wasn't too sweet, and there are pieces of real strawberries. It's also been a while since I've been to 85 so I was surprised to see everything already individually wrapped and no more "fresh bread!" announcements. They also seemed to stop serving the chocolate bun (brown bread with powdered sugar) which is unfortunate because it was my fave. I decided to try the Hokkaido Custard Bun because there were three trays of it, and I like it! Also got some white chocolate chip macadamia cookies! Staff was nice too.

I love coming to 85°C Bakery Café in Alhambra everything I've tried has been delicious! The variety of pastries is amazing, but my absolute favorite is the coconut bread soft, fluffy, and so tasty. I also really enjoy the barron (I think that's the name) and always look forward to trying something new each time. For a friend's birthday, I ordered the ube cake, and wow it was perfect! Light, moist, and flavorful without being overly sweet. Everyone at the party loved it. The customer service is always nice, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Plus, the place is spotless, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a go-to spot for fresh pastries, cakes, and treats I can't wait to come back!

Cozy vibes, great coffee, and friendly faces. The perfect little spot to start your day or unwind for a bit. Definitely coming back!

I love 85° coffee! The sea salt drinks are such a unique flavor and i recently tried the matcha with sea salt- highly recommend! They've got great food options. We took a pumpkin bread for a Thanksgiving treat. If you see the jalapeño cheese bread with cream cheese inside, get one! We snagged it for a snack and I instantly wished I had more. So yummy!

This was probably my third time actually spending more than a couple of minutes at this location and wow, it was busy. The place was packed: tables full, line out the door. But what really stood out was how the manager handled it all. I'm pretty sure she was the one who helped me, super friendly, genuinely apologetic about the wait. That level of customer care in the middle of chaos? Seriously impressive. And shoutout to the rest of the staff too, they stayed focused and knocked out all the drink orders like pros. I got the BOGO Sea Salt Coffee, and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to be back.

Almond half moon - barely any cream
    Toni L.

The bakery is conveniently located along 3rd and Main street. You can find parking in the lot or park by the nearby streets. The chain has been around for a while but the quality of the baked goods varies per location. I stop by early Saturday morning to buy milk bread since most of the goods are usually sold out by 2PM. Walk in the store at 4PM on weekday and the shelves are half empty. I love the half moon almond but they skimp on the cream. There's barely any cream holding the chiffon cake together. It's like they put just enough for the almonds to adhere onto the cake. The egg tarts are a hit or a miss - some days, the crust is soggy and crumbly while other days it's just right. The milk bread isn't as good as it used to be. I remember it being pillowy soft. The drinks are nothing special. There are multiple boba tea places along Main Street to choose from. The staff are courteous but they don't have enough cashiers. I once waited 15 minutes in line on a morning weekend when they had one cashier, two making tea, I saw some in the kitchen and another walking around behind the counter trying her best to look busy. They need to get organized.

4/23/25 Grabbing some treats for the crew
    Jennifer W.

4/23/25 Stopped by to get some treats for the crew & a shout out to Rosie ((who "sent" me here, IYKYK), killing 5 birds with one stone! As most of the 85° Bakery location, this branch has many pastries to select from, both savory and sweet. There are additionally some refrigerated cakes and slices of treats at the front counter. They also sell drinks like hot lattes and iced coffees. The shop is a bit small, but it does have a few tables where you can enjoy your beverage and or your treats. The staff are cordial and efficient. This location is located in the building full of condominiums. Parking is plentiful, but it does share with many businesses so it could be limited during peak hours. Nice pit stop & I got 5 things done all at once- awesome!

Date of visit: March 4, 2025 Selections: 2x Spinach Kale Danish 2x Garlic Cheese 1x Cocoa Dipped Danish 1x Coffee Milk Butter 1x Slice of Tiramisu Cheesecake 1x Slice of Coffee Creme Brûlée Experience: Finally made a visit to this location since our usual go to location was in old town Pasadena, but it closed down a bit ago. I stopped by during the afternoon to grab some pastries for my husband and I and was hoping to get some that had mushrooms on it, but didn't see any. Not sure if they were sold out or no longer sold by them, but opted to grab some other pastries that caught my eye or what I thought my husband would enjoy. I noticed they had run out of some pastries that I wanted to try out and realized they sold sandwiches now, but were also sold out of the options I wanted. Didn't have to wait too long for check out since it was just two people ahead of me and decided to get some slice of cake for my husband from the display case. Will be coming back to hopefully try their sandwich options and to see what other new pastries they come up with.

First time at this 85 degrees. I picked up a cake and got a drink. My favorite is the iced sea salt jasmine green tea. Service was great and very quick. Luckily I got in before a huge wave of people. I waited a little bit for my drink but there was quite a bit of people ahead as well. Overall clean and spacious place.

    Chocolate mooncake

85c Roll and Taro Roll Nice price, buy one get one free! Taro Roll was full of taro paste that feels dense. And it was not the artificial purple powder stuff. The cheese filling was average. Overall, the taste was good.

Good tasting breads and desserts for a good price. The staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. They have some great coffee options, smoothies and teas. They have great items to have any season of the year.

I used to like 85C pastries and cakes a lot. This 85C is located on Main Street in Alhambra. It is big inside but service was super slow. There was only one cash register and the line was long. I just bought the matcha choco bun, coconut twist and Hawaiian chicken. The matcha choco bun was yummy. Their other pastries were a bit oily though. They should have more than one more person at the cash register so the line can move faster. The person in front of me ordered 2 custom cakes and we all waited a long time.

    Ask the Community - 85°C Bakery Cafe-Alhambra

Do you have vegan options for bakery?

Hello, no we do not have any vegan options at the moment. Sorry about that!

Do you guys cater for weddings? If so, how would it work with you guys?

Hi, we recommend reaching out to the store directly to see if they can accommodate this request for you.

Is the current indoor seating open?

Yes. Seen people sat there with drinks and chilling.

You called me this morning to call you back...your phone number isn't working. Is there another way to contact you?

Hi Cindy, is this for the store or for 85ºC Customer service? If it's a customer service call you can reach out at customerservice@85cbakerycafe.com

What is the phone number to the store? no one answers the number listed

This is the phone number for the Alhambra store: (626) 293-8585 . If they are not answering it is usually because they are very busy at that moment.

    Do you offer decaf drinks?

Hi Angela! We appreciate you reaching out to us. We do offer decaf coffee, so stores are able to make any of our coffee drinks decaf.

    Hi,do you have boba cake?

Hello, we appreciate your interest! We did have a boba lava cake that was recently discontinued, but we will be launching a new boba product soon. Be sure to check our social media page for this upcoming launch!

    Is there sugar free cakes?

To begin with, the pastries at 85° are not overly sweet. As far as sugar-free, I have seen some available. Hope this helps!

Is there a limit to the Monday's 0.85 coffee per person & can we call in to order prior?

Yes, 2. Also that ended, it's now smoothie Monday: buy one get one (of the same type) free. I don't know about calling in.

    Are there any vegan/dairy-free options?

All milk teas and the 85 house coffee are made with non dairy creamer! They also offer soy milk as a replacement in lattes for an extra 50 cents :-)

I was in the area on a weekday and decided to stop by before work to grab a coffee. I went at around 8:30 AM and it was busy with many folks doing work. After looking at the menu, I had a hard time trying to figure out what to get given the selection! I asked for a recommendation between drinks and they mentioned if I want a hot drink - Miso White would be good; for a cold drink - Lychee Tonic would be ideal. It was a hotter day, so I opted for the Lychee Tonic. Since it was busy, the wait was ~ 10 minutes for the drink. After giving it a try, it tasted refreshing but I didn't really get the lychee taste. Not the best first impression with the tonic. However, I'd still consider coming back considering their ambience. Also absolutely interested to try their pour over options! Came Back for Our Usual... Left With Feelings About Parking & Sugar Levels…read more Hubby and I decided to circle back to one of our top 3 favorite boba spots (not that our list is super long lol), because after a delicious hot pot dinner we were seriously craving their Coco Mango. First things first... the parking here still deserves its own Yelp review. Whoever designed that parking situation... respectfully... why Parking still sucks, but we powered through. That said, it was actually really nice seeing this place busy and packed last night -- probably around 15-20 people inside. I was weirdly happy about it because I'd be genuinely sad if this place ever closed. Always good seeing people supporting a spot you love. We ordered our usual Coco Mango, and since I was feeling adventurous, I also tried the Dragon Fruit Aiyu. And not gonna lie... the Dragon Fruit Aiyu was delicious. Super refreshing, the dragon fruit tasted fresh, and the jelly inside was such a nice touch. Definitely a solid 8.5/10 for me. My drink was $6.95 and honestly worth trying if you want something fruity and lighter. Now for the Coco Mango... This drink usually never misses. The sweet coconut with that tart mango blend is usually chef's kiss every single time. We've probably been here close to 10 times, which is why I immediately noticed it tasted a little different last night. I ordered mine with the extra lychee popping boba (+$1), so total was $7.95, and I'd rate it around a 6.8/10 this visit. My husband always tells me to stop doing 70% sugar because "either commit or don't" and honestly... he might've been right this time. But even aside from that, both the coconut topping and mango felt less sweet than usual and just didn't have that bold flavor we normally love. Maybe it was because they were extra busy and moving fast -- totally understandable -- but it was the first time it felt a little less magical than usual. Still... one off night absolutely won't stop us from coming back because when that Coco Mango hits, it hits. We'll definitely be back and hoping next time our beloved Coco Mango returns in all its usual sweet, coconutty, mango glory. Happy drinks!

Find me a treasure bread coffee shop with good looks and strength online!…read more As soon as I entered the door, I was confused by the box full of puffs and coson fragrance. It was completely a paradise for dessert fans Puff Want their Dong Ding Oolong and matcha puffs Dong Ding Oolong The tea fragrance is particularly strong, not that kind of dead sweet cream. At first, there is a faint oolong tea fragrance in the mouth, and the afterter sweetness is very obvious. After eating, it will not be greasy at all. Matcha Puff The source of happiness of matcha stars , the filling is thick and smooth, with a slight bitter charm and tea fragrance, and it goes well with the crispy puff shell. bread Rose Lychee Raspberry Croffin What is amazing this time is that the rose lychee is praised. The outer layer is crispy and the slag is falling off. The song itself has a rich milky fragrance, with the fragrance of rose and lychee fruit. The sense of hierarchy is particularly rich, which is a taste that will be remembered after a bite. almond cream is also with a strong almond fragrance and silky milk sauce, which is full of aroma but not too sweet. runny yolk kimchi bacon garlic roll can be praised Salty The moment you cut it, the egg yolk slowly flows out, with smoked flavor and garlic cream, salty and fragrant, which is very suitable for brunch. coffee Their latte series is also very good. Hazelnut Latte With the aroma of nuts, the coffee and milk fragrance blend very smoothly. Matcha Latte The tea is rich in flavor, and the taste is silky and smooth. It is not only sweet, and matcha has a strong sense of presence. Black Sesame Latte The aroma of sesame is strong, and it feels like a combination of Chinese dessert and coffee. The more you drink, the more delicious it is. On the whole, whether it is puffs, songs or drinks, it doesn't step on a mine. It's good-looking and delicious. It's very suitable for weekend dates, sister afternoon tea or being alone in a daze Browned is located on the first floor of the one apartment building opposite the Hawaii supermarket. It is very convenient.

We got the 4-piece set with Bischoff Crunch, Taiwan Dong Ding Oolong Tea, Marukyu Matcha, and Dark Chocolate because leaving chocolate behind feels illegal. First bite in and suddenly everyone at the table forgot manners. The puff shells were perfectly crisp and airy, while the cream inside was smooth, light, and not sugar-bomb sweet. Every flavor showed up exactly as advertised too. The matcha came in earthy and rich, the oolong tasted like tea leaves earned a pastry degree, and the Bischoff Crunch almost caused a "who had more bites" courtroom situation. Meanwhile the Dark Chocolate sat there quietly like the cool cousin at the family party before completely stealing the show. The drinks were not about to get overshadowed either. The Pistachio Cream Top Latte was ridiculous in the best way possible, especially knowing they roast the pistachios in-house before turning them into that silky nutty cloud on top. And the Lemon Breeze Espresso? Bright, citrusy, refreshing, basically summer on vacation while espresso does cartwheels in the background. Safe to say Browned did not come to play. My caffeine levels are concerning, my dessert standards are now unrealistic, and yes... I'm already planning my return like a pastry addict with a mission.
