Out of all Locations I've been at, this is by far the worst Krispy Krunchy Chicken. The chicken was far way too salty like it's been fried in the same oil for over a week or 2. The service sucked like the woman that served it didn't care and didn't even use gloves as she was the cashier at the gas station as well. The ambience was blah since it was in the gas station. But all other locations I've been to was all in Nevada and their standards in Nevada is much better in health sanitation and location inside was away from customers getting gas or such. I contemplated on this review between a 2 or a 3. We went in for chicken tenders. I asked how long all the chicken been up. She advised not long it's hot. They had more coming out in 15mins. I didn't have an extra 15 to spare. I got the four piece tenders meal and the one piece chicken meal. The tenders were warm. I advised they were not hot at all. She advised fresh chicken coming out she'll exchange it for that due to it being the same price. So I end up waiting. When she gave me my bag I opened it to make sure it was hot and a leg rolled out. She advised me she would replace it this time but it wasn't their fault. After having to wait on fresh food and you placing it in the bag by throwing it in there, this is what you felt necessary to say to me. Of course, I was on a mission for fried food tonight... . Preferably, fried chicken. After picking up some wings, we stopped at this gas station to pick up some Krispy Krunchy Chicken. A we parked at the am/pm gas station, where just inside where there was glorious fried chicken heaven. Each piece is infused with a secret marinade then fried to perfection. It is always made fresh so every bite is juicy and moist and krunchy. It is so unique, this mild Cajun flavor is only found at Krispy Krunchy Chicken and with every piece is fried to golden perfection... how can you say no if you like chicken? As we walked in, there was not a line. We were able to get in there and order an 8 piece dark meat right away. They did have white meat available (we just aren't fans). There are sides such as creamy mac & cheese, red beans and rice, mashed potatoes, and those delicious biscuits... if you've tried them... omg, they are simply delicious... but we were on a mission for just the chicken tonight. I like how the box for chicken has holes at the top so the condensation doesn't make your chicken soggy by the time you get home... however, the smell is so wonderfully intoxicating, it is hard not to pull a piece off while on the drive home. KKC @ Antelope Food And Gas Walked inside the convenient store in this gas station and wanted to purchase some chicken. It was kinda weird but, yes, you can buy these delicious chicken right by the cash register, at the same counter you pay for gas or sundries. The menu is right above the register. At 5:30p the selection was slim pickings but they still had Cajun tenders and honey butter biscuits left so that's what we got. I knew nothing about KKC until my first taste of their chicken... in Cocoa FL. But it was a separate restaurant with table seating inside and not linked to a gas station. I was surprised to find one just a little over 4 miles from my home (8-min drive) inside a gas station convenience store. I never knew all this time. The employee behind the counter said that they're really good! I replied and said, "yes, I know! I had them first in Florida." He asked where in FL... This is the weirdest chicken shop in Sac Town. I thought the place would be a window or something inside the gas station, instead the food is right at the gas station cashier station and the cashier is in charge of your food order. Crazy as that was the family meal was a crazy good value, 12 pieces of chicken, 6 tenders, fries and biscuits for around $27 sorry I can't remember the exact cost. I do remember there being a 10% discount with Yelp check in though-Score! The food was all pretty good, my favorite were the big well seasoned dinner fries. This is an outstanding value for a family meal but I wish they had some cole slaw or something not fried as another side order option. I was more than a little shocked to walk into this gas station to use the restroom and saw that immediately next to the gas station bathroom, which was as clean ( not !) as one would think a gas station restroom is, but as a room that was being used to prepare this " krispy chicken " - the person preparing the food was not wearing any face or hair covering other than a turban. Busy Sunday so called to place my large order. Was told they don't take orders on the phone "we always have chicken. Get there and they don't have what I need (16pc mix, dozen biscuits and shrimp) . I told her this is why I called .... She gruffly said it would be "30 min" never once did she attempt to fill my order with what was available . I really like that you can go into a gas station store and get some delicious fried chicken. I ordered the family tender meal for 21 bucks and got multiple meals for more than one person. The chicken is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. I didn't taste any of the Cajun seasoning, but the chicken was still good. The biscuits are out of this world!
