So after picking up food here countless times for family, I finally decided it was my turn to see…read morewhat all the hype was about. Every time I'm in Little Italy, there's always a line, and I've often wondered, "Is this chicken really that good?" Well...today I found out! The menu offers plenty of tempting options, but I kept it simple with the 3-piece chicken meal, which came with a choice of fries or vegetables, a drink, and a giant chocolate chip cookie. You can also add extra chicken tenders for just $2.50 each, which is a great deal if you're extra hungry. Everything came out fresh to order. The chicken was hot, crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the fries were perfectly hot and crispy. One thing I really liked was their unique soda fountain with several cream soda flavors, lemonade, and tea options. And let's talk about that cookie--it was huge, warm, loaded with chocolate chips, and topped with a light sprinkle of salt that made it even better. The dipping sauces definitely deserve their own shout-out. The pineapple mustard sauce was unlike anything I've had before--sweet, tangy, and incredibly addictive. I also loved the smoky barbecue sauce, which paired perfectly with the chicken. Customer service was another highlight. Everyone greeted us with a smile and patiently answered our questions. I could tell one of the cashiers was still learning, but what stood out was how supportive the rest of the team was. One of the employees was bouncing between helping customers, answering menu questions, recommending popular items, and assembling orders in the back without missing a beat. I always appreciate seeing genuine teamwork, and you could tell everyone was working together to make sure customers had a great experience. The atmosphere was just as enjoyable as the food. I loved the laid-back "shack" vibe with the covered outdoor patio, bar area, picnic tables, and even a cornhole setup off to the side. Music was playing, creating a fun atmosphere, and once the evening cooled down, the overhead heaters made the patio feel extra cozy. There was plenty of seating, making it a great place to hang out and enjoy your meal. Needless to say, I can finally understand why there's almost always a line here. I'm honestly wondering why I waited so long to try it for myself! I'll definitely be back, and next time I'm giving one of their chicken sandwiches a try. As always...I don't gatekeep--I just put you on game! If you're ever in Little Italy, do yourself a favor and stop by. If you're a fan of great chicken tenders, delicious sauces, and a fun atmosphere, this place is absolutely worth checking out. You can thank me later.

This a great outdoor location that you can find in the wonderful Little Italy. The food was great,…read morethe service was fast, and the vibe was relaxing. The chicken sandwich was crunchy and flavorful, but it was not spicy one bit. I believe that the restaurant should allow its customers to choose a spice level. That is the point of the hot chicken, but it was still perfectly enjoyable. The great thing is that they are not stingy with the sauces and have a sauce bar where you are not handcuffed to small packets of sauce you get elsewhere. If you want to watch a game and grab a drink too, they have a bar area and they also have a small area where kids can play. Definitely a great spot.

The best chicken sandwich I've had! (Yes! Even better than chik-fil-A)…read more I tried The crack shack in downtown for the first time a few years ago and it was amazing. When I saw they opened one in PB I was thrilled since I'm in the area quite often. The chicken sandwich was just as good as I remembered it to be. Very big sandwich worth the price tag. I honestly had to take half of it to go because I couldn't finish it. They have a sauce bar, I loved the mustard and ranch the most. I got the coop deville and the slaw was perfect and I don't usually like slaw. There is plenty of seating and some lot parking available. Not to mention it's just steps from the beach. Service was also very kind and quick. Highly recommend 5/5!

We told him we would absolutely come back to support the business because we wanted to see them succeed. Unfortunately, our return visit tonight was the complete opposite experience. After arriving, there was essentially no service or acknowledgment, so we quietly decided to leave. As we were walking away, one of the employees actually chased us down outside. All I said was, "I wish you luck with your new business." Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee confronted us and scolded us with, "Why are you being so rude?" That completely caught us off guard. We had not raised our voices, complained, or caused any scene whatsoever. We were simply disappointed customers trying to leave respectfully. What confuses me most is how a brand-new business trying to build a customer base could treat supportive first-time customers this way. First impressions matter, but so do second chances -- and sadly, this experience ensured we won't be returning.

The atmosphere is laid back They've got indoor and outdoor seating, and outside has plenty of tables to just kick back. I tried the chicken wings 5 piece they came out nice and crispy, nothing crazy, just a solid crunch on the outside and juicy inside. If you like them extra crispy you can ask, but they were already on point. The orange sauce stood out too, not sure what it's called but I'd definitely get that again. Original is what I order Overall, good experience. I'd come back and try more menu items for sure. Located in the heart of San Diego's Convoy District, this place will not disappoint! The chicken is served to order, each piece shatteringly crisp, with a golden-brown crust and deeply flavorful! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside (it doesn't get any better than that). For starters, we ordered the fried dumplings, (1) order of Asian sesame seed wings, (1) order of chili oil wings, (1) order of Cajun rub tenders and (1) order of Seoul spicy tenders. The vibe is relaxed with a spacious interior and outside patio, it's the perfect spot for a family or friends gathering. The staff are quick and efficient. Making excellent recommendations for first timer's! Prices are reasonable. And they have a great menu selection! Definitely come check them out!
