After ordering, our drinks came almost immediately, and we only had to wait 10 minutes for our food. - FOOD - Fish Sandwich ($6.00 during HH): They've got great happy hour deals, including this fish sandwich! We had plans to eat dinner later so we just wanted something to snack on. We ordered the Thai Brussels to start and were very surprised when they were delivered and were very, very cold. We asked the bartender if they were supposed to be cold and he said "yep" and walked away. This was surprising given that the menu described them as "oven roasted" and it was never mentioned that they are a chilled item. I feel like it's only fair to your customers to let them know if a dish is served cold or warm. I don't recall ever ordering "oven roasted" Brussels sprouts that come almost frozen. The bartender didn't seem concerned that we didn't eat any of them and didn't ask if we wanted anything else. We paid full price and left. I should have said something, but honestly didn't get the vibe that he cared at all about our experience or whether we returned. Sadly we have many other places to go where we know we can receive great service and probably won't return to Common Theory. I hope others have a better experience than we did!

The food has always been delicious, and everyone I've brought here has enjoyed it just as much as I do. This time, I ordered the Chicken Brioche Sandwich. It was more than filling, the bacon was perfectly crispy, the sandwich sauce was served on the side, and the seasoned fries came out nice and crisp as well. The best part was that I didn't even have to request any of those details--it felt like the cook read my mind. Three others in our group ordered the fish & chips, while another ordered a cheeseburger. Everyone cleaned their plates, which usually says everything you need to know. I also appreciate how consistently clean the dining room is every time I visit. ASNTG has definitely become one of my go-to spots in the Kearny Mesa area, and I'll continue working my way through the menu on future visits.

We had two double OG burgers and the large onion rings. The onion rings are behemoths with crunchy batter that maintained their crunch despite not being eaten immediately. The OG burgers had nicely charred and juicy patties, contrasting well with a tangy sauce and grilled onions. Service was friendly, fast, and courteous. The restaurant was nicely air conditioned and well-illuminated with natural light. We would have stayed to eat in, but our baby was overtired and not in the mood for Mom and Dad to binge on lunch.

The meat tasted great, was seasoned well, and the veggies and other toppings tasted super clean and as if they'd just been purchased or picked. The portions are also worth noting, as you get a reasonably sized meal that's commiserate with the pricing.
