An extremely awesome shopping experience for the most unusual item at a grocery store. Patio Furniture at Kroger, you ask? Surprisingly so. The chairs to my patio set were severely damaged by the heavy hail storm a few weeks ago. The set is wrought iron, with thick vinyl straps on the seat and back of the chairs that were literally split in half by the large hail. I was heartbroken, loved this set and dreaded having to replace it after learning how expensive it would be to repair the straps on the chairs. Did all my homework, roamed the net, checking out Sam's, Costco, Sears, etc etc etc. To my dismay I was looking at $$$$$ for a new set comparable in quality to my damaged one. Gulp, So, decided to put this off for a while and just use the battered chairs, hoping I would not fall through the straps. I frequent this Kroger location so close to home. It's clean, well organized, stocked well, and with very friendly helpful staff. Not to mention that their pricing is usually better on the same items than Tom Thumb down the street, which I love. Walked in one day last week, and in the "lobby" area was this beautiful display of patio furniture. A large rectangular table of steel frame construction, with slat and granite table top, in a deep chocolate brown color. Six sling chairs in a heavy woven cover, small stripes of tan and the dark chocolate. GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS. And when I saw the price, my mouth dropped open. After the 30% discount with my Kroger card, I was looking at about half the price of others comparable in size and quality that I had previously found in my research. It only gets better. When I got home, decided to call the store Manager for some details. I inquired about the availability of assembly and delivery, as I had no means to handle myself. (Don't even suggest placing a screwdriver in this Klutz' hands) Kelly advised they could assemble and deliver to me THE NEXT DAY. Hurried back to the store and when paying, asked about the charge for assembly & delivery. No Ma'am, no charge for this. Another mouth dropping moment. Have never heard of that anywhere else. FREE is not a word often used in retail. Within 24 hours, I was sitting comfortably in my new patio chairs with a freshly made Top Shelf Margarita (from my own bar) celebrating my find. Oh so proud of myself! KUDOS to all the kind folks @ Kroger; Kelly, the very accommodating Manager, the two very nice gentlemen who delivered my furniture with a smile and on time. These folks have customer care down to a fine science! Oh, and the icing on the cake (or cookies in this instance). The Girl Scouts were there selling their cookies. Old and depressing store...prices aren't even that competitive. Yesterday, the darn credit/debit card machines all stopped working! Customers (including myself) had to walk out because we weren't carrying cash. One dude got so mad after waiting in line, he just ran out of the store with a fake, plastic tree. lol. Waste of time store!!! Please open something better and replace it! Addison is a great town and this makes it look crummy. read more

I go to this location because it is close to work, but it needs a remodel ASAP. It would also be nice if it had a gas station where I could utilize my Kroger points. There are usually long lines, and the produce section is horrid. Come on Kroger. Get it together. The plus side is that most of the patrons are 85+ so if you want to feel young, go here. read more

Placed an online pickup order today 4/9. There was an available time slot for today from 5-6. I showed up at 5:07. It is now 6:50. If the time slot was not available, I would like to have known. I called the pick up number to try and cancel my online order but no one answers. If it wasn't because I brought my 7 year old (due to the virus, I prefer not to take her in the store) I would've been in an out in less than an hour. read more

Oh Yelp. There are times when a girl just needs a half, and others where she needs none at all. This case is the latter, unfortunately for the people of Addison. Customer service: They need to get some. When you call before to ask a question only to be told that a specific department opens at 9am and upon walking in "uh um the computer, uh um no we can help you until 5PM" it really makes you wish that you hadn't wasted your time. The lady that helped me, well lets just say she didn't. How is it possible to have so much 'tude on a Sunday? I'm sorry that you hate your job/and or are having a bad day, but what does that have to do with me? Can a girl get some service...pretty please? What's worse is that people don't think they have to apologize after you dashed out of the gym to get your ducks in a row at Kroger so that you could be watching ESPN's football preview. This Kroger's is in need of renovation! Most Kroger's have an excellent selection of vegetables, fruit and seafood...this one however, does not. I feel like this place isn't very clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful, so this is in no way related to the people. It has to do with the up keep, availability of products and cleanliness. I live within walking distance to this Kroger's so it is quite a shame that I will probably end up shopping somewhere else due to selection. read more

I always come to this location and Everytime there is always something that bothers me. The man at the register is very rude, he never says hi and when i try to say hello he refuses to look at me or speak at all. I believe he is racist because when a white person goes in his line he is very nice to them. Another time i had 18 items and went in the "about 15 items line" the lady refused to check me out because i had 3 more items. I told her it says "about 15" she made me move to a different register. About 80% who here are very unhappy and you can see it on their faces. I've gotten to the point where i just don't acknowledge anyone there anymore. read more

I've been to MUCH better Kroger's before. I was actually disappointed with this location. Not only is it one of the smaller Kroger's but it had a very unpleasant odor upon entering. Due to it being a smaller location, there was not a wide selection of items. The time to checkout was pretty speedy though which I liked but I doubt I'll return to this location again. read more

the store manager whom I believe is a gentleman named James. He was helpful, however, there was a female manager who had ZERO clue of what was going on trying to downplay James' responsibilities. This is where it goes downward.... SHE had ZERO understanding of what was going on And even ACCUSED me of using the card 240 miles away in Houston when I was never there. I purchased a gift card and when we went to use it, THE CARD WAS ALREADY USED. I had NO money on a card I purchased. Long story short , after over 22 calls and emails with Kroger they made me aware of the fact that there was internal issue and I was correct. In fact Kroger CORPORATE ISSUED AN IMMEDIATE REFUND OF MY MONEY and even sent me a $25.00 gift card for my troubles which they can stick UP THEIR ASS. Moral of the story is that James is okay, even though lost, but that female manager is a TOTAL WASTE. read more

Let me preface this by stating...(I worked for Kroger in 2 different states off and on for over 6yrs. So I'm well aware of the standards they expect)...AND THIS AINT IT. Purchased meat today, got it home, expires in 3 days. No wonder it was discounted so much. That's my bad. With that being said, the reviews before mine are ALL true. But mine will reveal a little tidbit. Find someone else to run U-Scan. Sharon is not it. Neither is the young white male that smokes outside the entry that you have to chase down to get assistance from. One night he just blatantly told me to "yell if I need something, he's taking a smoke"! Yo...?! But let's get back to Sharon. Whom clearly doesn't know how to mind the business that pays her or how to accurately manage her performance as an employee. 1st....your mask goes over your mouth AND your Nose, Sharon. Why have I reiterated this to you multiple times, you ask? Because as someone who requires 2 masks to be amongst the living. I shouldn't have to back away from you while you're assisting me because you refuse to accurately wear your PPE. Next, when she's not running her chops w/ the other baggers, she's wandering off to stand in random spots while you wait upon her leisurely return. When she needs to see your device, she demands to touch it to find the expiration date. Then when you point directly at it, she gets even closer. Find Sharon something else to do that doesn't require human contact. Open up some more lanes. Figure out how to accurately cut self check down to where we aren't all waiting at least 20 mins, and the line leads back to produce. There's one bright spot at this location...there's an older, Caucasian female. I want to say her name is Elyce or Elain. She works U Scan a few nights that I've come in. She's the most pleasant, helpful and attentive employee they have in this entire location. They ran off the people I liked in the Meat/Seafood dept. I was offered a position in this district and this location specifically. I'm glad I turned an already throbbing headache away. Ayo.. Sharon, let's do better, yeah?! read more

This Kroger is just okay. I live right between this one and the one up on Frankford/Midway. I tend to go to this one only when next door at PetSmart or in dire need of something and am closer to this one. Usually, I go down to the Tom Thumb on Marsh/Spring Valley if I need any significant quantity of groceries. I often find that there's too long of a queue to check out. I was purchasing 2 things on my most recent visit ($16 heating pad-- as there were no ThermaCare heating wrap thingies here, and oatmeal. I think I just aged 50 years). It took me 10 minutes to find a decent place to park (heating pad/thermacare = back hurting, didn't feel like trekking 40 miles) and there were tons of cars in the lot. Uh oh. They're busy. Unnaturally busy at 2pm on a Monday. And the lines inside showed this as well. I noticed there were only 2 lanes open: the lots-of-items lane and the "express" lane (by the way: I saw you people in the express lane with way over the allotted quantities of items- yes, you Mr. 10 Bell Peppers, 4 tomatoes, an entire bag of single baking potatoes, lettuce and salad dressing.). Thankfully, the pharmacist was really nice and checked out my heating pad and oatmeal. Hah. $20 later and I'm finally out. The lack of cashiers issue is one that I've noticed before.. Whether it's 2 in the afternoon on a Monday (heating pad/oatmeal run) or 1030pm on Saturday (ice cream, of course), there seems to only be one or two lanes open. Selection here is decent, and store is clean. Only one door for in/out, so people who aren't paying attention (or don't care) will frequently run you over as you try to leave or enter the store. This Kroger needs a makeover. Compared to all the Kroger stores in Carrollton and Plano - the selection is not as good, everything is old and run down and outdated. The prices aren't as good as Walmart. I would pass on this location and go to a different location or a different store altogether. read more

I shop at this Kroger on a weekly basis. I think the customer service at this store is excellent. I always have had a good experience with the check out process, and the General Manager seems to be in the store a great deal and constantly checking on things. The only reason I give this store a 3 star rating, instead of 4 stars is that it could really use an upgrade. This is one of the older model Kroger stores in the area, and you can tell, but it's not the worst I've seen. I do like it that I can get in and out quickly here, even on the weekends. read more

Pam, who works in the meat department, is a huge asset to your company. She goes above and beyond to give exemplary customer service. When my little dog was dying and had a hard time eating, Pam helped me select something for her. She was very compassionate and kind at a time when I needed it most. Most people would have blown me off because I wasn't a big sale, but she took the time to help me, which was most comforting. I highly praise her as one of your finest employees. I have been shopping at this store since the day it opened and know all of the people who work there. You have many fine people working at this store. She stands out. read more

This Kroger store is the worst in North Dallas area. I refuse to go through their self check out because I am always accused of having "unknown item in the bag"! But today I went through the regular check out as I always do and as I reach the automatic door, my damn cart freezes up. I try to push it and it is frozen. I'm standing there blocking the door, with alarms going off and finally a guy comes and clicks me with a laser thing and my cart releases me. However, now every damn person in the whole store is looking at me like I'm a criminal. I will never ever go into that f'ing store again. No matter how hard I try to avoid the automation, it always screws me over! If I wanted to rob the store I would but I'll be damned if I'm going to be accused of it every time I go into this f'ing store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate this f'ing store!!!!!!!!!. If I could leave no star I would. I never been to a Kroger that I did an online pickup to where the associates didn't bother to tell me 75% of my items were missing. He just loaded some of my groceries and left and didn't even bother to give me a slips. Only reason how I knew was i check the items in my trunk. Apparently who ever took care of my order didn't even bother to complete it and declared all my order Out Of Stocks. This is poor customer service on their end. I can understand why the reviews for this location are so poor. read more

I love this Kroger! =) it's always got everything I go for... It's clean, the customer service is great and even THE CUSTOMERS are great. Everyone just has a great attitude, and it may be because of the atmosphere =D. I especially love the help I always receive in the meat department. There is one employee in particular, he's bearded and has tattooed sleeves, but he is always courteous and will go out of his department to help customers, which is a rare quality these days. There are also very sweet ladies at the customer service counter, they are always having a great time with the customers. It's WONDERFUL!! The cashiers are young, and speedy, and will lend you a Kroger card if you don't have one at the time...X) Also, I wanted to mention the set up of the store...I always like to start out to the left and, as I'm leaving, I'll make sure not to miss out on anything towards the end because they have it all lined up perfectly! When you are walking towards the back, you'll see the dairy. As you continue, there's the meat department, then around another corner, and then you are at the bread. As you are continuing straight, at my favorite part of the store, there is the bakery to your left and the deli to your right. It all smells so sweet and fresh and it surrounds you. A few steps more and you're in produce. Another area filled with sweet aromas!! X) Look to your right and there are the cashiers, anticipating your arrival. Then, it's a speedy checkout and you are back to the entrance/exit. It's the perfect end to a perfect shopping experience. I seriously LOVE this store, just the way it is. =D read more

We use this location pretty frequently. The employees speak to you when you walk near them. There is a new general manager that seems to be changing the culture of the store to be more customer friendly. One opportunity is the lack of carts we often arrive with no carts available. The produce we have selected was fresh and in good condition. Their pricing is the same as most grocery stores they are high on some things and low on others things. read more

This Kroger has had a few renovations done, but it's still a bit outdated at least compared to the one in Richardson. I've never smelled anything weird, never bought or even seen expired produce, and never seen anything dirty anywhere in the store.... I'm just going to guess this store made a complete turnaround in recent years judging by all the bad reviews from 2016. All the cashiers I've had a very friendly! The baggers do a great job at making sure groceries go in their appropriate bags. Carts are always being brought in and rarely scattered around the parking lot. read more

I was at this Kroger 3/22/11. The only chicken breasts, thighs and drums were on a "Manager's Special" and being sold at a discounted price because their expiration date was the next day. This was all they had. Pitiful. I had been shopping at the Tom Thumb down the street but they can't keep the store stocked and their check out lines are operated by morons. Wal-Mart has killings in their parking lot, so they're out. I wish Whole Foods or Central Market would build in Carrollton. Sad really. read more

I visited this store on November 6th 1015, The store was is in the midst of a badly needed renovation. The store was filthy with raw food exposed on the floor. Steel shelves are precariously hanging and fell resulting in a laceration in my leg. The City of Addison was informed of the situation. The management is relaying the attitude of the corporation. We have shopped at this Kroger since we moved nearby 14 years ago. Even after the renovation they did a few years ago, this Kroger is definitely NOT a "Signature" store. It's crowded and every aisle has tons of stuff piled in it, making it very hard to move around the store. Over the previous holidays, it was almost impossible to maneuver around given all the displays set up in the main front aisle and then on almost every regular aisle. The back was so crowded, getting to the lunch meat and bread and breakfast meats was maddening. It was hard to get to the frozen meats. The remodel didn't include the floor, which looks dirty and worn. I have been in so many beautiful Kroger stores around the state that coming home to mine is disheartening. I've never seen another Kroger that is in as sad a shape as this one. We started frequently shopping elsewhere after the holiday pile-up created such a horrible shopping experience. And now, since the COVID problems have settled down, we still cannot get many of our regular products, none of which are missing from other Kroger stores we've recently been in. I go hear a lot to get groceries for catering. The biggest issue I have is the inconsistency. I depend on having certain products in stock. One of the manager likes to order the bare minimum so he doesn't have to rotate a lot, which leads to empty shelves. Half the employees have been there for awhile and this store has a small time feel. Francis, DeOndra, Donna, James, Susan, Sherry, and a few others always give warm welcomes. The other half of the employees really suck, especially the night shift. read more

I have always gone to Kroger because I like their selections. This store is definitely in need of a remodel! I usually have problems with the baggers not properly bagging my groceries but the manager always assures me he talks to them. Horrible Service! Won't take returns because of this virus outbreak but is only posted inside the store yet nothing on their app??? I shop on the Kroger app for pickup due to my underlying health issues & I am over 60. Now the app doesn't give you your cart total until you process your payment!! I overspent because I am on limited funds now so I needed to return Powerade, Tide, Sunny D & a bag of candy all sealed & unopened & they told my daughter, who was taking back for me because of my health, no. I talked to the most unprofessional "manager" named Brandon who sounded about 18 years old! He talked so fast & unsympathetic. I told him this is not right because the app didn't give me a total until after the fact. And if their 5 participating items aren't available but you ordered all 5 but they only had 4?, Guess what, you just paid full price - yep no sale price! He said it's posted all over the store & proceeded to tell me rather quickly where they're all posted inside the store. I told him I have shopped at Kroger a long time & this is not right. My "grocery store," this Kroger is around the block from my home. I love the people, the store and the prices. I'm a senior so I do get a senior discount but I shopped here before I qualified because it's the "little Kroger that could." They're extremely conscientious about responding to their customer requests; they've got a pharmacy (delightful people to deal with, they actually seem to believe they're there to serve their customers!) and they have a good health food section. No stars. I went in today to get an organic chicken breast. The butcher was unable to speak English. When I asked for someone to help me, they brought me a translator so that my English (in Addison, TX) could be translated into Spanish so that he was able to understand me. I am really confused as I was completely convinced that I was in the United States....apparently Kroger has already decided that the Hispanic culture is the one that they will cater to. I told the cashier to keep my card as I would not set foot in another Kroger. Not sure one person makes that much difference-but I sure feel a lot better. read more

The worst grocery store located in Addison or Carrollton. There are personnel exceptions - Frances, John and the Dairy Manager. Other than those few exceptions the staff is clueless! I've been treated rudely for the last time. Out of date merchandise is the norm - I have to check everything I buy. I like this Kroger for the reasons some say they don't like it. I so much prefer this over the giant "signature" Krogers. This one is just a grocery store, period. If you want simple things, this is it. Another plus...it doesn't have Starbucks taking up space or a giant wine section. They have all the basic groceries plus some very good deli and bakery selections. If you like all the exercise you get in the gigantic Krogers, go there. But for me, leave this Kroger alone, it's the only one I really like. I have been shopping here for 10 years and NEVER picked up an expired item, as someone said happened to them. They do have a high employee turnover it seems so maybe some bad reviews come from disgruntled former employees..just a possibility. So if you're in a hurry to grab stuff for a simple, home cooked meal, stop here. If you want exercise and to shop for things other than just groceries, go to a different Kroger. read more
